Very nice resort type RV park. Site was very large level concrete pad wide enough and long enough for the toad to park in front of or next to the MH. Plenty of green space between sites. Hookups were convenient. Very nice picnic table and fire ring. We had a back row back in site. There was some road noise but not enough to change the experience. Our site did not get satellite reception but the cable was plenty adequate. Wireless internet was the best for any campground we have been to so far. Three bars of Verizon LTE. Grounds are meticulously cared for. Price was borderline but we decided it was worth it after taking everything into account. The KOA down the street is almost as much money for a lot less amenities and room. Pool and clubhouse are first class. Interior roads were wide and paved. Everyone here including campers and staff were very cordial and pleasant. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Petoskey Motorcoach Resort (formerly Petoskey RV Resort ) in a Motorhome.

It's tough to get a 10 out of us. This was close. The price is a bit high, just a bit. Several days went by wth no refill of all the poop bag stations. They don't sell propane. The laundry room is very small and stuck back in the maintenance yard. However, the things we really look forward to having: a spacious paved level site, modern clean restrooms and good internet...this is where Petoskey R V Resort shines. The south exterior sites have far less road noise but many are satellite unfriendly, as was ours. The grounds are just beautiful and are impeccably cared for. The check in area is spacious and staff is super efficient and friendly. Access is controlled with a key pad gate. Roads are wide and paved. Sites are all pull in or back in. Park models now line the pond are where RV sites used to be. The clubhouse is worthy of any country club. Theatre with movies Tuesday night, gym, sauna, lockers and a very inviting patio. Very inviting pool and a manicured, professional looking golf putting course. Utilities worked great. Very good cable with about 40 channels and a channel guide. We got 2 bars on T-Mobile. Picnic table and fire pit. We camped at Petoskey Motorcoach Resort (formerly Petoskey RV Resort ) in a Motorhome.

We paid extra for a perimeter site that gave us a nice view of a fountain pond. Clearly we lucked out because the next 3 sites said they paid the same but got a view of trees vice the fountain. The park is relatively small and nothing that special for the price. It was a little tight getting out 45' DP in and out of the site which you would not expect for a motorcoach resort. Because of the price/value I am not sure I would stay again. We camped at Petoskey Motorcoach Resort (formerly Petoskey RV Resort ) in a Motorhome.

Absolutely go to the Leg Inn. Really good Polish food (Halupki, pierogies) with outside seating on Lake Michigan. Drive there via the Tunnel of Trees. Very curvy road with nice views. Don't miss a day at Mackinaw Island.

We stayed here for 60 days (2 Months) in a 42 foot 5th wheel on a beautiful concrete site with plenty of space on both sides. The site included a nice picnic table and a fire pit. The park is very nice with wide, paved roads and very little traffic. The clubhouse is beautiful with a great movie room, billards room, workout room, game room and fireplace. The park is across the road (Rt 31) from the 25 mile Traverse Wheelway Bike Trail which is awesome. Trash is picked up at your site each day and there is coffee/pastries each morning. A couple of negatives that could be corrected: 1) The ponds became filled with scum/algae and should have been addressed sooner 2) There should be a discounted monthly rate for RV'ers 3) the putting course should be called a chipping course because the greens are so soft, the ball won't roll. We camped at Petoskey Motorcoach Resort (formerly Petoskey RV Resort ) in a Fifth Wheel.

The Petoskey area offers a lot to do for the active person from lake activities to State Parks. Lots of biking and hiking opportunities. The towns of Harbor Springs and Charlevoix are close and great to visit. A longer day trip to Mackinaw Island is easily accomplished. Beautiful summer.

This is a beautiful park. Sites are large (wide and long) concrete pads with beautiful landscaping. Some sites have very large trees so if you are concerned with satellite reception, you might ask for "satellite friendly" site. We were on the back row which backed up to Old US 31 so it was relatively quiet. Two rows of RV sites have been filled with "cottages" so not sure what this park's future plans are. Very strange in August that it was only half full. This park reflects the big difference between privately owned campgrounds where the owners are very appreciative of your business, know RVs, and welcomes you whenever you arrive. Petosky RV Resort is corporate owned and we were not welcomed on our arrival but told it would be an additional $20. to check in earlier than the 1:00 check-in time (30 minutes early). Their check in and check out times were not on their website or reservations confirmation. Management is lacking and invisible. I don't believe I've seen anyone over 30 working here in our 10 day stay. Saw many tenants fail to pick up after their dog(s). One couple walked their dogs across the street to an empty lot to let their dogs do their business. Our neighbor would open the door, let their dog out and never pick up. These are very irresponsible pet owners! We camped at Petoskey Motorcoach Resort (formerly Petoskey RV Resort ) in a Motorhome.

Not impressed for the price. To close to highway 31 with a lot of traffic noise. Leash law not enforced. Sixteen nightly rental park models with people coming and going at all hours paying no attention to park rules. Nice grounds and sites, but not worth the price for what you get. Trees in the way of satellite reception. I don't understand the high rating for this park, we will not return. We camped at Petoskey Motorcoach Resort (formerly Petoskey RV Resort ) in a Motorhome.

First time at this resort. Previously stayed at Hearthside. However, I like this location better. Was an ownership resort at one time and now all rentals from class A's to Class C's and TT's. Everything is very well maintained. Strong internet. Did have to relocate to another site for satellite access. If important may want to check out on arrival. Best to unhook tow at entry. No planned resort activities. Will definitely return. We camped at Petoskey Motorcoach Resort (formerly Petoskey RV Resort ) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here three nights and loved this resort! The staff was very helpful and accessible. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. It is very close to all of the sights to see in nearby cities. The showers and laundry were immaculate. It is gated and a very safe and beautiful place to stay. At the sites, there is enough space to park your vehicle and your MH. They do make you disconnect your towed at the entrance. We would definitely stay here again! Good parts: Beautiful, tree-filled grounds. Impressive clubhouse with soaring wood ceiling and inviting fireplaces. Clean, luxurious bathrooms with saunas. Fairly complete gym with 2 treadmills and circuit training equipment. Small, cold pool and small but heated jacuzzi. Putting course. Tennis court. Card rooms and theatre. Planned activities. Spacious paved pads and roads. Well-placed hook ups. No tables or fire rings. Small laundry room with two efficient washers and dryers, a folding table, plus an iron and ironing board. 1.50 to wash and to dry. Internet was excellent although it did go out for several hours twice in a month. Verizon works well, however.

Bad parts: Most sites have road noise. We had the northern exposure because of the spring special, so our site backed up to US 31. Noise was noticeable but not horrible. There's a line of trees separating sites from the road. For those bothered by constant road noise, this could be a problem. All sites in the park have some noise.

Cable TV is another story. Only 30 analog channels and poor reception on most of them. Not a good offering of channels either. Front desk girls are lost about fixing the reception problem. I was basically told that there was nothing that could be done since they didn't want to call a tech to the site. She offered to move me, but I declined saying that unhooking and hooking up a motorhome is too much work. I'm guessing that problem will never be addressed and the next person to have my site will have the same problem. Satellites might have a problem with so many trees.

Despite the road noise and the marginal cable, I'd come back. I only mention these issues so others can be aware.

I'm guessing the resort is feeling its way about increasing rentals. It's not a motorhome only park anymore and they're no longer selling lots. This is the third owner and only 3 lots have sold since 2009. I hope this owner, Sunland, can make it work since the resort is so beautiful. We camped at Petoskey Motorcoach Resort (formerly Petoskey RV Resort ) in a Motorhome.

Petoskey and the surrounding areas offer so much. I especially liked that many areas on Traverse Bay were accessible via parks and scenic overlooks. Long bike path that runs along the water.Take the Pointer Cruise in Harbor Springs. Easy drive to ferries to Mackinac Island.

Have been camping since 1997, this was the nicest campground I ever stayed at. Lots of amenities with no extra charges (fantastic club house, pool, fitness room, billiards room, putting green). Primarily retirees but everyone friendly. Don't pay extra for the better lots, they are all about the same in my mind. A little more road noise in the lowest cost lots. Very nice resort. Beautiful clubhouse...top tier in my opinion. The resort is spotlessly maintained. I can't say it's the best overall resort I've been to, but it isn't far behind my #1. Good sized pads, and good space between sites. Much potential here. We camped at Petoskey Motorcoach Resort (formerly Petoskey RV Resort ) in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful resort. Park like setting with motorhomes only. Many sites are drive in sites so you are are looking at grass, trees and water. This is a park where you can buy in to have a permanent site. There are no picnic tables and no fire rings. The clubhouse has activities nearly every night. It is beautiful inside, with fitness center, pool table, card rooms, big sitting room, and outdoor patio near the swimming pool. It has a 9 hole grass putting course as well.

Definite must on our list for next year as well. We camped at Petoskey Motorcoach Resort (formerly Petoskey RV Resort ) in a Motorhome.
