This is a no-frills park that works very well for folks looking to tour the Gerald Ford Presidential Library and Henry Ford venues. The park is an open field with assigned and marked grassy spots most of which are fhu. There are no trees except around the perimeter and the tent section. Roads are very dusty but otherwise it is clean and safe. All of Henry Ford activities are only about 20 minutes away so many folks transit for this reason. WiFi worked well and the 50 amp service was great considering the temps outside were pushing 100 with higher heat indexes. All 3 of our ACs and other appliances worked well without interruption. Fire rings are available though we had to ask for ours. Showed up quickly but we ended up not using it due to the heat. Management is extremely friendly and helpful. Reservation, check-in, and other services were always easy, quick, and pleasant. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Plan on at least 2 days for the Henry Ford Museum of Innovation, Greenfield Village, and the Factory Tour. We took 3 days and needed every minute of it. It is not just about Ford cars or even just cars. Thomas Edison, Robert Frost, ERA, Civil Rights, furniture, glass, etc. Gerald Ford Pres Library located in Ann Arbor is free and only 1 floor. Some artifacts, some Rosalyn Carter artifacts and a reasonable film is shown. Takes about 1 hour.

The customer service here is excellent. We were initially put in a pull-thru with hook-ups in between the units, so one faces one direction and the other the opposite. The only problem is that the sewers are next to each other, so ours was at the front of our unit. A young lady came by with a golf cart, recognized the (common) problem and immediately moved us into a nearby back-in - even offered to help us with the tow dolly. They are currently updating the electric due to power outages (should be done within a day or two). Nice grassy sights - ours was very nice because there was nobody next to us. The restrooms are in serious need of updates (gave them a 5 of 10), but clean. We don't use the wi-fi. This is safe and quiet and near everything - you can even cut through the back gate to get to Walmart. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Detroit Riverwalk is very nice - for walking or biking - great views of the Renaissance Center and Windsor, Canada. Bike or walk over the freeway overpass and go into Belleville - a cute little town nestled btw two halves of a nice lake. Also, Ypsilanda and Ann Arbor are really nice - cute historic districts in each. The Border to Border bike trail btw the two is very nice!

Second visit to this campground. A grass parking lot with pull through and back in campsites located inside the county fairgrounds. Full hook ups. Wi-fi now available. Good Verizon wireless connection. Laundry on site. No picnic table or fire pit. Friendly staff. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Big fairgrounds with the RV camping at one end. Pros: friendly staff, almost all pull-thru sites that are plenty long, level grass sites, tons of room for dog-walking, very satellite friendly as all the trees are on the perimeter of the park, no pool or other resort amenities (we don't care). Cons: sites are not tight but closer than one would prefer, two sets of utilities come per utility island so people pull thru in alternating directions which means you'll likely be facing your neighbor (not necessarily a bad thing), grass was pretty muddy after a big rain. Plenty of shops and fast food nearby, there's a Camping World a mile away, and this is a good location to the Henry Ford complex. We explored Detroit from this location as none of the other campgrounds looked that great. We would stay here again. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Not their fault but the service road off the hwy to the park is horribly potholed. I slowed down to a crawl to get through the worst part. The park is very nice. Wide open grass fields with hookups and picnic tables. Interior roads were easy to manage in my 40' 5th wheel. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

They had had days of rain and the camp was floating. The very helpful woman at the office warned us in advance, then scouted out our assigned site and switched us to one a little bit drier. Great location for visiting both the Ford Museum and Ann Arbor. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very convenient to Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village and Rogue River Plant. Campground was flooded due to several days of non stop rain, but the staff was excellent in placing us next to buildings that had full hook ups. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Normally the open grassy fields would accommodate your rig and looked to be fairly level. This is not a destination type campground but really convenient to Wal Mart, several restaurants and shopping in addition to the museums. We would stay here again if sight seeing in this area. Not a resort but definitely a good place to stop if you're just looking for a place to stay. All of the utilities worked well, including wifi, and the location is just off the interstate behind a large Walmart and other restaurants. Will definitely stay here again. We stayed here for 2 consecutive nights. The spots are grassy and level. The staff though extremely busy were very attentive. The service as at as electrical and sewer and water appeared to be almost new. Our spot was level and needed no blocks. The other campers were a little noisey but to be expected because they appeared to be semi-permanent. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Perfect location for going to The Ford Museum. (20 minutes). Close to interstate, Cracker Barrel, and shopping. Easy back in space with our big rig. Close to neighbors, but we were they're to go touring, not camping. It's a RV "park". We would definetly come back here. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We set the bar low for this stop but were pleasantly surprised. Easy to get to from I-94 and easy to navigate thru the park. The sites are grass and level. We selected a water and electric only site but they do have full-hookup sites. All of the W/E sites are pull-thrus. Our site was in the back next door to the Walmart. So, not a scenic view, but very convenient as they have a walkway to the Walmart. The sites were close and had shared utilities between the sites, so our front doors faced each other. Although I do not like this setup, our neighbor was never home. There is no dog park, but plenty of room to take the dog. Only negative is the constant din of road noise from I-94. Small laundry room. We had a site with the only big tree in the park. For the price, this was a heck of a deal. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Ford Museum about a 20 minute drive and highly suggest touring the Ford Rouge factory. Highly recommend Jimmy's Grill for sunset views. This restaurant has table service to boats that can dock there. Tables are right on the water. Also, we really lucked out in that the fairgrounds are a great place to watch the air show which is every Labor Day the Blue Angels put on a show every Labor Day weekend. And they fly right over you and very low.
