We stayed here for 2 consecutive nights. The spots are grassy and level. The staff though extremely busy were very attentive. The service as at as electrical and sewer and water appeared to be almost new. Our spot was level and needed no blocks. The other campers were a little noisey but to be expected because they appeared to be semi-permanent. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy to find, roads with the park are good, hook ups are good. The fairgrounds are beautifully decorated with flowers and maintained extremely nicely. The sites were level and easy to pull thru. Close to neighbors but people were very friendly. It was quiet and we would definitely come to this campground again. Wifi was good. They have a beautiful vegetable garden and you are welcome to pick whatever you want. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Less than 30 minutes to the Ford Museum. Plan a minimum of a full day if not 2 days to see it all. Can walk to Walmart and there are plenty of fast food places close by.

We set the bar low for this stop but were pleasantly surprised. Easy to get to from I-94 and easy to navigate thru the park. The sites are grass and level. We selected a water and electric only site but they do have full-hookup sites. All of the W/E sites are pull-thrus. Our site was in the back next door to the Walmart. So, not a scenic view, but very convenient as they have a walkway to the Walmart. The sites were close and had shared utilities between the sites, so our front doors faced each other. Although I do not like this setup, our neighbor was never home. There is no dog park, but plenty of room to take the dog. Only negative is the constant din of road noise from I-94. Small laundry room. We had a site with the only big tree in the park. For the price, this was a heck of a deal. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Ford Museum about a 20 minute drive and highly suggest touring the Ford Rouge factory. Highly recommend Jimmy's Grill for sunset views. This restaurant has table service to boats that can dock there. Tables are right on the water. Also, we really lucked out in that the fairgrounds are a great place to watch the air show which is every Labor Day the Blue Angels put on a show every Labor Day weekend. And they fly right over you and very low.

Perfect location for going to The Ford Museum. (20 minutes). Close to interstate, Cracker Barrel, and shopping. Easy back in space with our big rig. Close to neighbors, but we were they're to go touring, not camping. It's a RV "park". We would definetly come back here. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Motorhome.

The weekend we were here, there was a swap meet and a car show going on in the fairgrounds. The RV park area is on the other side of the grounds from all the commotion so it was remarkably quiet. Hookups are shared in the 30A W/E grassy sites we were in, but neighbors were quiet. We have been in the area in the past and this campground is a bargain and at least as good as the formal campgrounds we have been to. While we were there, the gate designated as the exit was closed, possibly to control access to the car show and we were given a windshield tag to allow reentry through the gate. There are 50A and backin sites as well. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here to tour the Henry Ford Museum, Detroit & Ann Arbor & it was very convenient. Sites are on grass, level, good size although it's just a big fairgrounds field. Utilities worked well. 50 amp power. Not a destination park but very functional. Would definitely stay here again We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were not really expecting anything great - but found this place perfect as a base camp for visiting the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful with directions and etc. The RV section is set apart from the main activity area of the fair grounds - but only a very brief walk away. Plenty of OTA TV stations and great satellite reception. Water pressure was good. The only negative is the driveway spacing. While the lots are generally ample size, the width of the driveway makes it very difficult to get in and out of your site if you have a large motor home or are pulling a big 5th wheel. If the site in front or in back of you is vacant - no problem. Otherwise ....... good luck. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Motorhome.

The sites are pull-through gravel and grass with good utilities and an open sky for dish, located on the fairgrounds. WiFi was good and fast and the office staff was great. The laundry is small and you need a prepaid card from the office to operate-no coins. This is an excellent base in the Detroit metro area, close to fuel, restaurants, and shopping. Tips for other Campers:

The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village were wonderful. We spent 8+ hours there and didn't get to see it all! President Lincoln's seat from Ford Theater, Thomas Edison's lab where he invented the light bulb, presidential limos, and all manner of Americana are here. We did not have time to do the Ford plant tour, maybe next time!

The road in is the service drive to I-94 so easy to navigate. The roads in the park are gravel. Check in was fast and friendly. There are around 100 sites with a mix of hook ups from 30 amp to full. Sites are gravel and level with grass and on the narrow side. A picnic table and fire ring are available if you want them. There is very little road noise and the camp is quiet. Shopping and eating are close by and you are just minutes from Ann Arbor. We were in Site 28 and had full hook ups with 50 amp. No issue with the hook ups and water pressure was good. Site was just long enough for our 37-foot RV and tow-dolly and parking the car. There is plenty of space to walk the dog. We did not use the bath house or laundry. WiFi was okay and our Verizon signal was strong. We stayed June 13-20, 2017 and paid $35.10 a night with our Good Sam discount. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Grounds fairly clean and all utilities worked well. This time of year there are lots of sites available here and it is not crowded so maneuvering the park was fairly easy. We have a 42 foot fifth wheel (about 20K lbs) and had a problem with the site we were assigned. Our site had a hole filled with water and mud fairly close to where we had to park to reach the utilities. The person checking us in seemed fairly friendly at first and escorted us to our site. When the water/mud issue was pointed out to her, all went downhill from there. We asked more than once to just please move us to another site and she refused. She seemed concerned with other sites already being assigned but would not simple go to the office and check so that we could take one of the sites without this problem. In looking around the grounds, it appears we were assigned the only site with standing/puddled water. With our size and weight coupled with the maneuverability of a fifth wheel, backing into the site was a bit difficult but was made much more so because she insisted on staying until we were in the site to her satisfaction (she kept wanting us to back across the site next to us instead of just backing into our site). We have been pretty much full time in a fifth wheel for over 10 years and do know how to back into sites. In order to level our rig, we had to put boards in the mud hole to make a stable surface for our 6 point leveling system. This was not our first time here and there are much better sites and many of them remained unoccupied during this stay. Mary said she was a volunteer here and was training another lady who will be a paid employee. The price you pay to stay here definitely should support employees and competent work campers who can maintain a more customer oriented and friendly attitude. We will definitely stay here again and hope that our next visit will be a better experience. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a fairgrounds with a campground included on the grounds. It is very open and sunny. The sites are grass, mostly back-in with a few pull-throughs. There has been a lot of rain in the area, and some sites were still quite soft when we arrived. The staff in the office were helpful and professional; most concerned about getting us into a site that our diesel pusher would have a solid surface. Full hook-ups. No playground but lots of paved and gravel interior roads and grassy space for kids to run, play and ride bikes. Campers everything from pickup shells to 45 foot buses. Very close to a number of fast food and sit down restaurants, plus a gate/sidewalk out the back to walk to the Walmart. Picnic tables and fire rings provided. Very nice stay. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Motorhome.
