Very nice, well kept park. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There appears to be many seasonal campers here which are all very neat and uncluttered. Sites are grass or gravel. The pull-through site were smaller in width than the back ins. We were able to get a pull-through for our overnight stop. We camped at Shamrock Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Beautiful park right on the St. Joseph river. Our site was a pull through with great grass, fire ring and picnic table. Park is very well maintained, lots of grass and trees, (best of anywhere we've stayed) plenty of parking and asphalt roadways. Many seasonal residents, but sites all nicely kept. Manager was very friendly and helpful. Best weekly rate we've seen. The only reason I didn't score the park higher is because there are no amenities at all. Normally we don't use anything other than laundry facilities, fenced dog areas and cable, and this park has none of those; no OTA TV either. Just a nice park in a great location right on the river. Boat ramp here as well. It rained A LOT while we were here and there was a lot of standing water, but certainly not the fault of the park! We would stay again. We camped at Shamrock Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great RV park run by the village of Berrien Springs. The place is clean and well cared for. The manager lives on site and is very helpful. There are a lot of seasonal work-campers here but their rigs are in good shape and their sites are kept up. Spacious sites with good asphalt interior roads. Utilities work well. WiFi works very well. Verizon signal is good. Rate shown above is the weekly rate. We camped at Shamrock Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park, well maintained, friendly staff. Loved the unusual fire rings. And our water loving dog was thrilled with the river. Also a convenient distance from Notre Dame. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Shamrock Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I rated Shamrock Park a 9 out of 10 because it did not have laundry facilities. Otherwise, this is an excellent campground. The sites were spacious, there was a fire ring and picnic table, the area had plenty of grass and trees, all hookups worked fine, and the WiFi was good (it worked best during the day, not so much at night when everyone started using it). Interior roads were paved and campsites were gravel and level. We would certainly stay here again. We camped at Shamrock Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice campground right on the Saint Josephs river complete with a boat ramp, fish cleaning station and on site storage. Park is open all year and they allow long term stays but all the sites in the park are very clean and well kept including long term. Fire pits, level gravel pads with plenty of parking, good spacing between sites, 50, 30, 20 amp, some pull thrus, fhu's, water & electric, primitive and tent sites. A little gem of a city owned park with great staff and easy check ins. Will definately stay here again whenever we're back this way. We camped at Shamrock Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Two night stay, at this gorgeous city-owned park beside the St. Joseph River. Very clean modern bathhouse: did not use. Swings by river, walking paths, game areas, small play areas, wide sites, easy access and close to town. Updated connections, very clean with easy access.

Walked with my small dog. Paths lead to river and boat launch. Fish cleaning station. Cabins available. Very beautiful location and forest park atmosphere. Screen rooms/tents work here and sun loungers would be great. Paved road around all very tidy sites also nice for walking. Excellent book exchange in office. Ice available and firewood. We camped at Shamrock Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed a couple nights at this park and I was so very impressed with the friendliness of the park manager, the overall neatness of the park, and just the whole atmosphere of the park. We were in the newer section. Site was spacious, level and easy to get into. The river flows along the edge of the park and is so pretty. It is near Lake Michigan and we used this as our base for our sightseeing. We didn't use the restrooms, showers, etc. but I cannot imagine they were not as clean and neat as the rest of the park. Good cell service. The only thing I missed having was a laundromat. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Shamrock Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stay in Shamrock whenever we're in southwest Michigan. The on-site manager is very friendly and we appreciate the beautiful flower gardens around the grounds. The bordering St. Joseph River is very beautiful. The older campground is shadier and closer to the water. The new campground has bigger sites in full sun. We've stayed in both. Private bathroom/showers are excellent. They even have a small room with a sink exclusively for washing dishes! WiFi is good. The park is close to Lake Michigan, Notre Dame in South Bend, and to the bountiful offerings of this agricultural and wine region. We camped at Shamrock Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Notre Dame University is a short hop to South Bend from Shamrock RV Park. We love to visit the campus and soak up all the cultural activities they provide. We've scored tickets to the Men's Glee Club and are going back in August 2016 for their Shakespeare Festival. Notre Dame is known for football, but it's also one of the most culturally rich, conscientious, and innovative academic institutions I have ever seen.

Camped in a 35 foot 5th wheel on back in site 121, an end spot with a nice size grass patch (in newest section of park). Full hook ups. Wide, level, gravel site. No shade, although, small trees have been planted on sites. Plenty of room for truck. Some sites in old section are buddy type (facing awning to awning). Clean shower houses. No laundry, but there is one about two miles away in town. Good WiFi, AT&T cell coverage, & over the air antenna TV (about 15 stations). Volley & basketball courts, ping pong table. Book exchange. Small children's playground. Located on St. Joseph River with wide boat launch access. Quiet at night. Construction underway to expand park. We camped at Shamrock Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice, quiet campground run by the Village of Berrien Springs. The friendly resident manager lives in a house in the campground. We stayed in the new section in an end pull through with no one on our patio side. The sites in the new section are very spacious, the ones in the older sections are closer together. There are 6 individual shower/bathrooms in the new section shower building. We didn't use them but they looked very nice and clean. They have free Wi-Fi although I didn't see mention of that on their webpage. We stayed here 4 nights and would return if we are ever in the area again. We camped at Shamrock Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Try the Wonderland Cinema in Niles. Rates for current movies: $2.50 before noon, $4.00 afternoon and $5.00 evening. The food and drinks are very reasonable too.

Nice laundromat nearby on N Cass Street downtown.

Clean campground. Convenient to downtown. Grocery store right outside entrance. Directly on river. Staff friendly enough. Basic, no frills. This was our second stay here. First stay was on a full hookup site, and the park was only about 25% capacity. This stay, park was completely full, and we were on 26, near the river; power/water only site. Electricity was spotty; voltmeter showing ~90 volts at the plug; meaning we couldn't run our A/C. Manager moved us to adjacent site, which was OK, until an RV hooked up to our original site and turned on their A/C. Our power dropped out, again. Campground mechanic told me they were having problems with power, and there was basically nothing they could do. Electrical infrastructure couldn't keep up with full campground on a hot and humid day. For us, electric problems are a show-stopper; we won't be back. We camped at Shamrock Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park, right on the St Joe River, just down from the dam. New restroom/shower building is very nice. Nice sites in both the new part & the older part. We stayed in the newer part in our pop up truck camper w/ our 2 dogs. By 11:00 pm on a Saturday night it was QUIET!!! We will go back here!!! We camped at Shamrock Park in a Truck Camper.

Very well run campground located right on the St. Joseph river in the small town of Berrien Springs. It's not near the freeway, about 20 minutes off I-94 and 10 minutes off US31 highway so it's more of a destination campground. We stayed in the new section which has full hookups and a brand new bathroom. I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the campground is and in a beautiful setting. Perfect place to go for fishing. There are a couple playgrounds for kids. Quite a few permanent people but they are neat and it was super quiet. The sites were gravel and very level. I will be staying here again! We camped at Shamrock Park in a Travel Trailer.
