I have never stayed in such a CLEAN state park!!! The restrooms were immaculate!!! It seemed that staff was constantly cleaning them. Individual showers with great temperature control was much appreciated. The sites were small and there was not much privacy between sites, but we thoroughly enjoyed the friendliness of the campground host and the activities that were offered. - dexie

Since we are out-of-state price includes $32 yearly recreation permit and $7 vehicle permit (car) for this stay. If you have any kind of large rig (35 ft or up) good luck getting level. Warning - campground is simply placed on slope (7 to 10 degrees or more) down to lake. While sites are wide and long we had to park parallel to and down near road to get level. Which means we paid for a 50 amp site but had to run a 35 ft 50 amp cord and then our 30 amp extension of about 40 feet to hook up to electric. Some one NEEDS to do work on these camp sites to get a level parking place at each site. - Peter K

My husband and I love this state park. The private sites are great. A nice quiet park. - 1Airstream
Jul 2016 - $19.00
We were looking for a campground near DTE Energy Music Theatre. We planned to attend a concert and wanted a short drive back to a campground. We are self-contained and don't use the facilities, except for an occasional shower. We stayed during the week.
This campground is quite nice and an easy 10 mile drive to/from DTE Theatre. The campground staff was friendly and helpful and the park was clean and well maintained. There is a variety of campsites - larger, small, combined, shaded, partial shade, full sun, private, open. There is no WiFi. Cell coverage for AT&T and Verizon is adequate. The showers were good. - dsvt
Jul 2015 - $19.00
Sites are $19 per day plus $48 in fees for out of state residents. We had to pay $31 for an annual pass for our toad (or $9 per day). Then another $9 to get our motorhome in and a $8 reservation fee. No fee for same day reservations at the CG. So most of the local folks just drive up for a site. This gives the park somewhat of a first come, first served for site selection. In our 12 day stay, the CG never filled. The only threaded water connections are at the dump station. The water inside the campground loops are not threaded. We had no problems U-turning back into the dump station upon arrival to fill our tank. People working here are very good, we were able to extend our stay and were allowed in and out to fill our propane tank. TV via batwing was mostly good, Verizon cell and broadband were the same. Overall a nice stay in a good area about an hour from downtown Detroit and The Henry Ford attractions. - Bob and Inga

The road(s) approaching the campground are horrible. Dirt road, zero gravel. Our travel trailer and truck were covered in mud even though we went as slow as possible. Huge mess. When I called to make our reservation, I asked for full hookup and a site facing one of the lakes. Upon arrival we were given water and electric only and an inside loop spot. No apology for the reservation issue. Overall setting seemed ok but the road conditions ruined it for us. - ellenmck
Sep 2017 - $48.00
Park Was okay. But I think it was more then $48 a night. We had to pay a fee for the gate access card and got that money back after the end of our stay. And Its cash only for access card and you cant add it to the bill. Roads are Dirt gravel and can be a mess with rain. - Tommy3guns
Sep 2017 - $48.00
This is a huge campground, beautifully situated around four lakes and endless green lawns. It's almost 3 miles around the perimeter! Coming down Haas Rd. to the campground, you leave pavement for the last mile and have to travel over a lousy dirt road and compete with big trucks coming in and out of gravel pit. There's a nasty little hole on the right just as you leave the pavement so watch out for it. Registration was efficient but staff seemed grumpy. The interior roads and sites and hard pack dirt. The overwhelming majority of sites are back in, many on the lakefronts. The spacing of the sites is very inconsistent, with many generously spaced and other areas more tightly packed. There are a handful of pull thru sites, and we had one, which we would highly recommend. Z1, a super long pull through near lake 4 with a patio area so large that the fire pit was about 60 feet away. The sites are level. Most seem satellite friendly. No cable. The utilities worked fine but the water pressure seemed low. The WiFi was o.k. early in the morning and late at night and completely nonexistent the rest of the time. Very frustrating. The restrooms are nice enough but poorly spaced. They are all in the front section of the campground and it is literally a five minute DRIVE to the nearest restroom from the lake 4 area. A $10 deposit gets you a key card to get in and out of the campground. The lakes are very nice, two with beaches and all types of water fowl to view. Lots of seasonal campers with their golf carts. Plenty of dumpsters. - VegasVagabonds

Wow, what a terrific park this is! There are expansive green lawns between sites with nice trees in the C loop (not so many in the A and B loops). Cement pads, places to park two cars, 50 amp service, great picnic areas, very friendly hosts at the gate. It has a laundry too. We wanted to change sites (lots of small noisy children next door) and they were totally accommodating. We cannot recommend this highly enough. - twestover
May 2017 - $38.00
Weather was miserable but the campground cleanliness and layout made up for it. Beautiful park with scenic views and easy walk ability. However, even with the cold rain the mosquitoes were evident and I can only imagine due to low, shady and swampy spots within the park that it can get quite "buggy". Yurts and cabins for rent also. Yurts were in the low swampy spot but the cabins were placed adjacent to the lake and had a great sunset view. - Hidden Barb
Aug 2016 - $35.00
Stayed here for 10 nights (end of July - early August 2016). Good value for money. Accommodating staff. Very rough roads leading to the multiple campground areas. Lots of family things to do during your stay ; make sure you ask for the coupon book if you are staying longer than 6 days (good for "free" honey wagon visit on Wednesdays).
Only problem I had is that they messed up my reservations (wife and I, and another couple/camper). We had specifically requested SHADE (made reservation 7 weeks prior) and they gave us total sun with a few 8 foot saplings near by. They had significant difficulty finding us appropriate campsites (due to our length of stay and how busy they are on weekends). They gave us a bundle of firewood for our trouble (nice).
They DO have WIFI, which was VERY GOOD, strong signal and acceptable internet response .... very nice surprise. - wcraig

Jun 2017 - $36.00
Our stay here was due to availability in the Metro-Detroit area. PROS: Many amenities and family oriented activities. Paved Roads and campsites. Mature trees on electric-only sites (but planted in the center of the site rather than between sites). Observed security / staff handling pet complaints, loud music violations, and water disruption in full hookup area. Observed staff actively trying to keep grounds and bathrooms clean. CONS: Not a campground to visit if you like peace and quiet to "get away from it all". This is a commercialized urban version of camping for city dwellers. The only legitimate camping features are the nearby lakes and rusty hard water. Multiple sites not observing camp rules with complete disregard to others (dogs in no-pet areas, not flushing toilets, unsupervised very young children, loud music, screaming and yelling, etc.). Disruptions do not differ from weekend to weekday; they just intensify on the weekends. - Blue Collar Lady

Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Unless you prefer the sounds of babies crying, dogs barking, and car horns all day and night as well as the feeling of being squished in like sardines and a vaguely uneasiness that your car will be broken into while you sleep. This place is HUGE and has dozens of permanent residents, many of whom live in tents or the weird tarp buildings that the camp has built over by the lake. In addition to these sad tent cities, there is also a huge trailer park in the back full of falling down trailers. Also the water was visibly reddish and rusty and smelled and tasted bad. The worst part was that we picked this place because it had a pool and we promised our kids a pool at the next stop in our journey to the east coast, except that when we got there we were turned around and told "No floaties in the pool." Okay, fine I thought, as we were carrying pool noodles and a blow up animal ring, I could understand not allowing those. However, we were rudely told by the young staffer that this rule ALSO included the "floaties" they were wearing. What they were wearing were those foam, clip-on flotation armies that also go across the front of the body called "Puddle Jumpers." They would sink without them! These are neither "floaties" nor are they toys of any sort. They should be considered part of their swimming attire and are in NO way bothering the pool or any other swimmers. This rule is ridiculous and designed ONLY to sneakily keep kids out of the pool. I am appalled and really mad. - Zoey Katz

Little difficult to get to off the interstate due to all the construction on the interstates around Detriot this year. IF you are looking for a quiet stay for a week this is it. Nice sites, lake, and a 27 hole championship course for $25/cart for seniors. Little driving for the sites but you are in a really nice community and very clean Not far off the interstate if heading up north. - Barber1998

This used to be one of our favorite places to stay but all that changed this year. They need to keep up with maintenance. The shower / restrooms were filthy. I walked in and walked right back out. Trees need trimming. Staff is very friendly, pond is nice and a small petting zoo but no amenities. The park just isn't worth the money. They won't take credit cards either. Won't be back until they make some changes. - Chip Lyn
Aug 2016 - $15.00
I absolutely LOVE this place. I've been here over 30 days on a grass full hookup lot. Staff is like family. They exceeded my expectations on a busy camp weekend by staying open really late for check in. I take walks, feed/talk to all of the animals, and enjoy the amazing night sky. I can't get enough of this place. I will definitely return. - KimmieK
Jul 2016 - $55.00
Very nice neat campground. Owners were very nice and helpful. Nice playground, beach, and fun petting zoo. Also nice walk around lake. Our site overlooked green open space and the lake. There are park models here but they are very well kept. Only down side is lots are not real wide but there are pine trees between sites. Highly recommend. - jlwolfen

I camped with a friend, we had a very relaxing few days. Very peaceful at night sitting around the fire. The owners came to sit with us for a bit. Very kind and friendly people in the park. Lots are spacious and offer a range of sunny to some shade. Site surface was gravel and grass and featured a fire ring and picnic table. Clean restrooms and showers. - Betty Laforest
Jul 2015 - $40.00
Why would anyone want to camp here? It is located between highway 401 (a major trucking route) and Windsor Airport, so the noise never stops at any time - day or night. It is full of loud drunk people on busy weekends, not to mention the seasonals driving their golf carts around at midnight. The full service sites are basically a large open space with hardly any foliage at all, and you feel like you are in some trailer park, crammed in on top of one another. The owner is quite miserable and will find a way to have a problem with you. The wood is overpriced - you get around 8 pieces for $7.50, and the store is under-stocked. There are many other campgrounds in the area, and even though they may be a longer drive to Windsor, it would be completely worth it to make the longer trip. It may be okay for young singles (the required age is 21 to rent a site for some reason, not 18 or 19), but it isn't a place I would take a family who wants to go camping to get away from a busy life in the city. Sure, there may be a pool, fishing, and a playground, but what campground doesn't have this, at least nearby. After the experiences we've had here (and we are quite tolerable), we don't plan on ever returning. - Bob_T
Jun 2015 - $35.00
Store was understocked. Mini golf was extremely poor quality. No privacy. Bring ear plugs - Too close to the 401.
Located minutes from downtown, which was convenient. Sites are way too small and fire pit was in fair condition. Staff was accommodating but not overly friendly. We felt a little mislead by what was advertised on the website and what the conditions were when we arrived. - A_0

Not a resort but definitely a good place to stop if you're just looking for a place to stay. All of the utilities worked well, including wifi, and the location is just off the interstate behind a large Walmart and other restaurants. Will definitely stay here again. - ldukeb
Oct 2017 - $35.00
We stayed here for 2 consecutive nights. The spots are grassy and level. The staff though extremely busy were very attentive. The service as at as electrical and sewer and water appeared to be almost new. Our spot was level and needed no blocks. The other campers were a little noisey but to be expected because they appeared to be semi-permanent. - vaw123889
