We were here in Michigan for a wedding and I chose this park after reviewing many others. The best thing about this park is its location. We were 5 miles from Frankenmuth, Mi., and less than that from the town of Birch Run with a Mejiers, restaurants and I-75. The bad thing was the bathhouse. It was not air conditioned and you have to pay $0.25 cents for 4 minutes of water. We didn't mind paying for the water but it is unbearably hot without a way to adjust it. We asked several times for them to turn the temperature down but they did not try at all to accommodate us. The park is quiet and has good security. A gated entrance and patrolled. Most of the park is shaded but the roads are dirt and rock so they would get muddy on the rainy days. There is a gentleman who rides around patrolling on a golf cart. He is not friendly at all and seemed to pick on some campers. There aren't anything for kids to do in the park but pets are welcome. I would consider staying here again if I needed to come back to Michigan for anything. We camped at Pine Ridge RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Our back in site was mostly level. Sites are gravel, but mostly grass & dirt. The park has 50 amp power and this is the reason for choosing this park. The other one near Frankenmuth only has 30 amp and it has been a very hot summer so we wanted to run both ACs. There is no cable but we had a satellite friendly site. There is no wifi and our AT&T hot spot could not get a signal. We had to move the picnic table from the middle of the site before we could back in. There were other sites where the picnic tables were right in the middle, also. Interior roads are a little narrow but trees were well trimmed. When we called to see if we could get an early check in, we were told there is a $5 fee PER HOUR for early checkins. That seems a little bit much! There is some road noise but no trains or planes so it is mostly quiet. We would probably try the other campground in the Frankenmuth area if we come here again. We camped at Pine Ridge RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice wooded park within a couple of miles of Frankenmuth. Roads and sites are gravel. Roads are a bit tight toward the back of the park with trees right up to the roadway, even on the curves, but we had no trouble with our Dodge Ram 3500 dually long bed and 32 ft. Travel Trailer. Make sure you bring along some wood or ramps for leveling: you will need them! You do have to pay for showers but we always use our own shower so this was not an issue for us. All sites are full hook-up.

If you are traveling with kids, there is a small playground with a slide, swings, and a basketball net. No planned activities or swimming facilities.

There are streetlights in the park that stay on all night. If you are parked near one and don't have black out shades this could be an issue.

There is a nearby local racetrack that made for an unpleasantly loud first night at camp, but after the first night it was super quiet.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and plan to return for a longer stay. We camped at Pine Ridge RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

A visit to Frankenmuth and Bronner's is a must!

If you don't enjoy the sounds of race cars while you are trying to relax by the fire or sleep, then make sure you check the schedule for Dixie Motor Speedway before booking your reservations.

We camped in the back of the park during a race and the cars could be heard loud and clear, even with the A/C on high, until well after midnight!

The campground is nice with shady and sunny sites, long pull-throughs, full hook-ups and adequate sized lots, but no Internet or cable, which is reflected in the rate. The location is good, with easy access to I-75, restaurants, Premium Outlet Mall, and Frankenmuth.

Our main reason for the lower rating is the management and maintenance of the facilities rather than the facilities themselves. We were assigned a site which turned out to be flooded, moved to another site that was occupied, then allowed to take the site we wanted. We were offered an apology and a bundle of firewood, which we didn't use because the fire ring was too close to the truck for comfort. During our stay there were always several workers riding around on golf carts, but they were not leading new arrivals to their sites. Equipment and a supply of gravel were in a storage area, but the site flooding was not addressed. The laundry room was large, but had only two washers and two dryers and the drink machine and money changer were out of order. Also, the showers are coin-operated, which is a first for us.

Apparently the campground rules are just suggestions, as Rule 12 allows one small pet only, but one guest was walking two big German Shepherds several times a day, and several others had big dogs or several dogs. It's not a rule if it's not enforced.

This is a good campground and would be a much better one with a bit more effort and investment in management and maintenance. We camped at Pine Ridge RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is in all pull through campground. There does not appear to be any permanent residence however, there are probably two or three long-term seasonal folks. We had good power and water pressure however the power was an extended distance from the other pedestals and require the use an extension cord for 50 amp service. The place was very quiet and peaceful it was not overly populated probably less than 10% or 15% of the spaces were filled when we were there The last weekend in June. Well we did not use the restrooms are showers we did inspect them while using the laundry facilities. All were very clean and acceptable. The showers appear to be $.25 for four minutes. The washer and dryer's were limited in numbers in the facility but it was very nice. This is also a gated facility with an access code for for after hours. There is a nice canopy of trees shading the facility. They did not appear to be any clearance issues for us or other large rigs that came through. However some of the turns need to be taken at a gentle pace. We camped at Pine Ridge RV Campground in a Motorhome.

You were very close to A very large Christmas store and a German settlement community. There are a couple of famous places there for chicken dinners and we noticed and stopped at a local sausage shop to0. There is a major regional outlet mall just off the expressway however we did not stop there.

Nice large shaded campground with long & level pull-thru sites. Electric box was near the rear of the site so we had to park near the back - no issues with our cord reaching the electric box. Water had good pressure and sewer hookup was within easy reach. There is a playground but not much else if there are children in the group. No cable or Wi-Fi but several over the air channels to choose from. Park was quiet and well maintained. Interior roads were paved/gravel and the site was gravel - very easy to level. We camped at Pine Ridge RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We were in site 1 next to an oil well pump that occasionally was running during the day, not at night. We chose that site so our rooftop dish worked. The 50a, water and sewer worked ok even though the sewer connection was about a foot above the ground. No WiFi. Our Verizon cell phone and hot spot worked fine. The roads and RV parking sites are gravel, lots of grass on the sites and many are in large trees, no problems maneuvering in the park. Our site was plenty long enough for the fifth wheel and truck. No price discounts and about 4 or 5 miles from downtown Frankenmuth. The sites in the front had some road traffic noise. We camped at Pine Ridge RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed overnight while traveling. It was very easy access from I-75. We had a nice pull-thru site. The sites were decent size. The bathrooms and showers appeared clean. We did not use the shower because there is a fee. We did use the laundry, which was clean. There were only two washers and dryers which might be a problem during the height of the season as the park is decent size. This was a great overnight stop for us on our way to the Mackinaw City area. We camped at Pine Ridge RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Roads are paved but sites are not. Lots of ants were present. Water and electric were good, but our site needed an extra hose to reach the water. Bathrooms were clean. Showers were individual, unisex rooms and required payment of $.25 for 4 minute increments. We didn't use them, but they looked clean. The laundry was small but clean with 2 washers ($2.50) and 2 dryers ($2). We got several OTA TV stations. It was very convenient to Frankenmuth and a great stop on our way south from the upper peninsula. We camped at Pine Ridge RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This campground was nearly empty when we arrived but filled up quickly. The person checking us in was helpful and gave us coupon books for the town of Frankenmuth. It was a pull through with full hookups. It was quiet and a good place to stay to visit Frankenmuth. I would stay here again and will recommend it to others. Frankenmuth is a fun town and area to visit. Be sure to go to Bronner's Christmas wonderland for all things Christmas. They have a replica of the chapel where Silent Night was first performed. We ate at Zehnder's and the Bavarian Inn. Both have many courses they serve you. We also went to two sausage shops and the cheese shop. We would stay at this RV park again and will recommend it to others.

Wonderful place to stay to visit Frankenmuth. Trees and serene surroundings. Bathrooms were clean. Showers (we did not use) were coin operated. Our site was 100' long...easy to pull in with our 40' and car trailer. Nice neighbors. The person checking us in got us a spot that our satellite could poke through the trees. Water pressure was good. No WiFi. We would stay here again. We camped at Pine Ridge RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice quiet and serene campground with a lot of beautiful trees. Setting reminds me of a state campground.

There was a mix of big rigs to travel trailers throughout the park, so there are spaces to accommodate all.

There is no pool and showers are pay as you go but is a good base camp for visiting Frankenmuth.

The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.

This is a nice park in the trees. Some sites are marginally able to get a satellite signal. Wi-fi is poor. Each site has a fire ring so lots of smoke around. They have a gate you have to open to get in or out and they charge $3 per person to visit. The laundry is terrible. It is a huge room but only has 2 washers and two dryers. It is dirty and the change machine is supposed to be in the bath house but it is not. They will not give change at the office. The location is good and it is quiet here but I don't like the rules about visitors and the gates. We will not return. We camped at Pine Ridge RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This Park has had a few bad reviews, however we found the the staff to be welcoming and the park well maintained. Our site was a least 100 feet long with very tall trees which didn’t impede our slides or awnings. Our RV is 13 ½ feet high and the branches didn’t come down that low.The water pressure was good as was our Verizon signal, but ATT reception was very poor. There is an oil well pump, at the gate, partly obscured by a fence and also a couple of large tanks. There is a slight aroma sometimes as you walk past but it doesn't extend out to the sites. We didn’t use the restrooms, showers or laundry. It appears the park was carved out of a mature forest and there was a concerted effort to take down as few of the big trees as possible. As such, the roads are not perfectly straight and a bit of attention is needed when maneuvering, but even with our large rig, we had no problems. Around the corner, on Birch Run Rd., there is a farm stand with locally grown produce. The proximity to both Frankenmuth and the Birch Run Outlet Mall makes this an ideal location. We would stay here again. We camped at Pine Ridge RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
