First, the good parts. Location is excellent. It is only about 1 mile to the Bavarian Inn so it is walkable which is a good thing since parking in Frankenmuth can be an issue. We still drove. The park itself is kept very clean, everywhere. The roads and sites are well kept and there is plenty of thinks for kids to do. Bottom line, we would return and pay the higher price because it is so much more convenient than any other park in the area. On the negative side, the sites are close together and there is very little shade anywhere except under your awning. The showers, which were good sized, well appointed and clean had a little push button thing that started the water. No problems so far. The issue was that the temperature could not be changed and it was too hot. Way too hot. Back to the good things, the staff was excellent. When I thought there was a problem with the power pedestal they sent someone out immediately. It turned out that the camper never bothered to check the internal (his) circuit breaker, which never fails, to see if it was tripped. Still they were very nice and did not laugh at me. To correct a few items from a previous review, the restrooms are air conditioned and the outdoor pool is now open. Again, Frankenmuth is a delightful city and we will be back at this park the next time we visit. - Meyer Camping
Aug 2016 - $67.00
This is a gated park in a location convenient to the nice little town of Frankenmuth. It was easy to find and the office staff friendly.
I did not use the showers. The women's restroom was clean, but not air-conditioned. This gave it a feeling of being less than clean because it was extremely humid and over 90 degrees during our stay.
There was a beautiful outdoor pool next to the restrooms that looked inviting, but was never opened although the sign said, "Opening summer of 2016." It seemed really odd for this big new finished pool to be inaccessible in mid-August when there are so few days left in the season. The indoor pool was opened, but again, it was so hot and humid in the pool area, it was not inviting.
There are a limited number of 50 amp sites and the pads are crushed stone, not concrete. Some of the corners are tight and the park roads are very narrow, making it a little difficult to navigate a big rig.
The park advertises "free high-speed" internet, however, we could not even access our email using their wi-fi. There was an antenna next to our site and our devices said that the strength was at 100%, but the band width was so minimal, neither our tablets nor laptops could even access email or a web page. The park was sparsely occupied on the first couple of days we were here, so I doubt the problem was due to an excess of devices using their Wi-Fi. The free cable was via Direct TV and provided poor reception for only 22 channels. When it rained we lost service. We will not likely stay here again. Although the park overall was ok, it is WAY overpriced for the services provided. It is more like a $25 to $35 per night park. The price before our military discount was $71 per night for weekdays and $76 for weekends.
I was really sorry that I had paid for three days before we found out: no outdoor pool and no internet since those were the reasons we chose this park. - ahmavic

Very nice and spacious. Quiet and friendly. Not much to do in the area other than the Christmas store. WiFi not good. - Genielady
Jul 2017 - $39.00
Travelling home from the Michigan U.P. on route 75 my wife and I needed a stop over campground for an overnight. My wife found Pine Ridge on the phone app RVParky along with 3-4 other CG's. Pine Ridge was the only one that answered the phone, they had a site for us and was friendly and courteous. The other parks never called back. Being the type of camper that likes to research each campground we stay at when planning a trip I was a bit leery on what kind of place we would be pulling into. Well, to our surprise and as shown by our rating, what a pure delight this campground is. Off exit 139 from 75 So. it is located less than four miles from the very well known town of Frankenmuth, MI, which I've told my wife numerous times how many people have recommended Frankenmuth as a must visit long weekend place to go. Pine Ridge is a large extremely clean well run CG. It is a pull thru site heaven consisting of what appears to be about 100 or maybe more large well spaced pull thru sites! All are hard packed crushed binder stone pads with well trimmed grass lawns so nice we didn't put our patio mat out. Our site had 50 amp service, water and sewer and it also appeared that all of their sites were set up the same way. There are no fancy pools or playgrounds for the young-ins, no expense Wi-Fi, a few swings and a slide and a basketball half court hoop. Strict security when entering, patrolling around on a golf cart and you are given a security code for the gate for re-entry after hours. My wife and I liked this place so much we added a day to our trip and stayed an extra night! We commented to the very friendly gent in the office that whoever designed and owned Pine Ridge must be or was a camper themselves with the lay-out of their campground. Clean, very quiet, well spaced full service pull thru sites, secure, and so convenient to a tourist attraction like Frankenmuth, you will enjoy your visit here too! We can't wait to go back! - vincee
Jul 2017 - $39.00
My main complaint about this campground was the showers. There was a caution to check the water temperature before entering the shower. This was laughable, as there was no way to adjust the water temperature, which was very hot. Not recommended if you have children! It cost 0.25 for 4 minutes. This campground has around 150 sites. No wifi or cable, but they did list the channels over the air. When we came in, which was shortly after 9pm the man was very irritable and curt. However the lady was very friendly in the morning. If you need to use the showers and have children, I cannot recommend Pine Ridge Rv Campground. Once our pilot light is working again and we can use our camper, I would come back. We came for a wedding July 21 - 23, 2017. - White cat
Jun 2017 - $39.00
Very convenient to I-75 but with no noise. Attractive, clean park with sites spacious enough not to feel crowded. Lots of trees but fine for big rigs if care is exercised. Be careful to use the correct road out when leaving because the one going by the central building is narrow and curvy. Good OTA TV reception. Satellite reception could be a problem with all the trees. No wifi. Good place to stay for one night or many. We would definitely stay again. - all4pets
Aug 2016 - $20.00
Clean campground, friendly people, quiet at night.
Dumpster has been overflowing since the weekend...should be serviced either twice a week or called in when cannot close the lids.
Overall a great campground, would recommend to friends. (Maybe a recycling area for plastic bottles, cans, etc would help alleviate need for extra trash dumping?) - Ana1
Aug 2016 - $23.00
Nice little campground at the end of the road. Small with only 50 some spaces. Road was paved and sites have level concrete pad. Water was way back between sites so I needed my 100 foot hose. WiFi was actually very good. Quiet, plenty of shade and nice breeze. Hiking trails. Great find. - Gr8daggett
Aug 2016 - $24.00
Nice campground. But way away from the interstate. Not a whole lot to do here.
Concrete pads, 50 amp and sewer. Well maintained. Be sure you have extra water hose because on some sites you have to share the same fixture with your neighbor. I had approx. 40' distance to get water. - archbarb
Aug 2016 - $25.00
We stayed four nights and enjoyed the park. However, we were disappointed to find the beach was across a busy street and the water was quite mucky. Other than that, great park. Small, clean, plenty of mature trees. 15 minutes from downtown with lots to do. - Amanda b
Jun 2016 - $23.00
The camping fee of $23 was somewhat misleading if you aren't a Michigan resident. You also need to purchase a recreational pass for your motorhome which is $6.00/day or $31.00/year. Then you need to purchase an additional pass for your towed vehicle which costs $6.00 and is good for the duration of your camping stay. The campground is heavily wooded and satellite TV impossible. The weekend was so crammed with campers and their guests it was very difficult to maneuver to our campsite. The sites are grass and dirt and the many rutted sites indicated that rain would make a lot of the campground unusable. Lots of paved rec trail for cycling and walking/jogging and lots of beach. The bay water appeared to be very dirty and in the morning a lot of scum had washed up onto the beach. - Appleknocker
Aug 2013 - $23.00
Loved this campground and will definitely stay here again when in the area! The walking paths are terrific, the showers are great, the bathrooms are clean. The park is pretty quiet for having so many sites. Nice and shaded. Two showers/bathroom facilities, so no matter where you're at in the campground, the restroom/showers are easily accessible. Next time, we'll bring our bikes, as the park and paths are also ideal for biking. I would encourage anyone to visit this park, and take numerous walks over to the bay. If you've got children, there is a very nice playground/sprinkler park along with many pavilions for a picnic....besides the beach with shells for the kids to pick up! (or the adult, if you're like me ;)!) - fenfam

Aug 2017 - $22.00
Pros: Allows campfires, has a pool/jacuzzi, and workout room with a good variety of machines, quiet park Cons: The grounds need LOTS of work! The grounds are mostly not level gravel mixed with weeds. It rained, and there was mud and puddles all over. The grass needs cutting. The building landscaping is a mess. The "beach" is sand and weeds. Front desk staff double booked our site, but resolved it very graciously - thank you. No literature provided on area eateries, shopping, entertainment, etc. Our first time back here since new ownership. Nice folks, but LOTS of work to do on this property. PS, it appeared that non-camping guests were allowed to use the facilities....(?) - Summrbrz
Jul 2017 - $28.00
The price is a blend of normal rate of $39 and PA of $19.50. We stayed 3 nights. Apparently this park used to be really run down and now has new owners. The new people are diligently working towards bringing the park up to much better standards. It was clean, roads are paved and comfortable to negotiate and sites are concrete. Each site was roomy. The fence along the back is falling down and the grass needs TLC, but you can tell that trees have been cut back and there are signs of improvement. They offer use of the swimming pool and gym at the office. Our sewer connection was a foot above ground causing an uphill problem. We called the office (Sunday) and were told the owner would get with us the next morning. Sure enough, the yard/maintenance fellow came out and cut the connection down (and our neighbor's) which fixed the problem. Also, we had called on our way there asking for an open site for our sat dish and they accommodated us. Wifi did not reach our site. Verizon cell signal was good, water pressure was good and electric was stable. - jomark
Jun 2017 - $35.00
The park has a new owner and the previous owner allowed it to run down. The park looks very bad. Lots of trees were cut down and just left there. The grass was not cut either (about 6" tall) - Shadoe
Jun 2012 - $40.00
Clean campground with big sites and full hook-ups. Con is that there is no WiFi available. There is not really a beach, only the marina with bay access. Many permanent campers. - Traveler04
May 2012 - $39.00
This is a pretty noisy place to stay. There are a lot of seasonal camps and the folks seem to like to party loudly. We heard Red Solo Cup over and over again. There aren't a lot of trees for the pull-through sites. It is not really the peaceful, camping atmosphere we generally like. The bath houses were clean and good sized. Although there is no Wi-Fi, our Verizon card had a strong signal. AT&T generally had 2 bars of 4G, but sometimes switched over to the Edge. We would not choose to stay here again. - ppalmer21
Jul 2011 - $39.00
As stated, this park is kind of geared to fisherman on Saginaw Bay. We had a full hook up, pull through site. Pad was cement. There was plenty of room. Also room to park boat and trailer. Most of the sites are permanent/seasonal spots. Everyone had a golf cart. Showers were clean. There is a small pond for the kids to catch bluegill and bass, but not much else. Catholic church close by in downtown Linwood. The marine is top notch with good boat ramp. - rono
Jul 2016 - $35.00
We were on the full service sites...lots are small. Staff is friendly. Firewood delivered to site. Pool was clean. Lake and beach was clean. Bands on the weekends. Volleyball on the weekend. Basketball court and mini golf offered. Store that sells anything from ice cream to trailer supplies. We stayed a week and next year staying two weeks. Have also signed up for a seasonal lot. Close to home. No rowdy campers. Quiet. Upon check in staff directed us to the lot. Dog friendly. (Can't take to the pool or store) Chose this park over others for the pool and close to home in case of bad weather. - Muskegon Bound
Jul 2015 - $28.00
We would have given this park a better overall rating but the roads were dirt and not well maintained. Lots of holes and ruts and when it rained they became mud. Sites were sparse grass and very hard to determine your lot lines. After the weekend most people left and they put another camper right next to us with lots of campfire smoke when they could have put them much farther away. 30 amp electric and water only. Most sites do not have sewer. Showers and bathrooms were in good repair and clean. Only one dump site for a very large park. - User1984
Aug 2014 - $35.00
This campground offers a lot of activities. There was a concert the first night we were here and numerous playgrounds for the kids. We camped on a pond and had some interesting neighbors (not the parks fault). It was a little tricky finding our spot as we checked in after dark but the park ranger was helpful. The site was level and we had room to park. - Trinket
Jun 2017 - $35.00
Camp is not Autism friendly! We stayed here on a very hot weekend in June. Many seasonal campers with an over-abundance of golf carts. While our campsite was level and grassy we were way too close to neighbors on either side. The seasonal camper (who wasn't there) failed to mow their site and left their crank out extended to the point we had trouble extending our awning. Picnic table was significantly smaller than those found in recently visited campgrounds. Also lot's of large black ants everywhere we went. We were surrounded by little "barky" dogs. Fire ring consisted of rusty old rim from a semi stacked in the corner of our site with a few others. We were told "Just grab one and put it anywhere." The first night as we dropped off to sleep (10:30 pm) we were treated to a laser light show & loud music by one of the campers two rows over from us. The second night the camp had karaoke night which was equally awful. We have stayed here a few times in the past due its proximity to Frankenmuth. However, under new management the camp seems to have lost its charm. Unfortunately, we will not return Berwagana. - purpleturtles
Sep 2016 - $16.00
We called to find a site just before a very busy weekend. At first, they said no sites were available but then said there might be something. They called us back a short time later and were able to accommodate us for the week we wanted to be there. They went well above and beyond for us. A great deal using Passport America, - Robert683
Sep 2011 - $32.00
As said before this park has a lot of seasonals but they are in their separate area. Sights were level and grassy. We were here in off season so not many people in the park. Park was clean and check in staff was friendly. Would not want to spend a week here but it was good for 2 nights to be able to sight see the Frankenmuth area. - Colette
May 2014 - $29.00
This is a very nice campground and quiet when the hours say to be. They allow you to have campfires at your site, too. It's mostly in the woods, but the trees are trimmed so that you don't hit them with a tall RV. There are a lot of permanent residents there and they are all nice folks. - CMcgirr
