This is a very nice park with a courteous staff, they do not allow alcohol and are very adamant about it. We had a great time and will return “when we camp with our friends that don’t like to drink” - munchkinn
Sep 2006 - $32.00
Very clean, quiet campground with very nice staff. Our site was small, but accommodated our 39 ft 5th wheel with slides on both sides. Very clean, modern bathroom and shower facilities. There are 2 playgrounds for the kids along with a barn with an arcade, pool tables and summer time family activities. The beach was closed when we were there in the fall, but it looked like it was well cared for. They had a honeywagon service and picked up our trash nightly. No alcohol allowed, but no one seemed to mind. There isn't much to do in the surrounding area, but plenty to keep the kids entertained in the campground for a long weekend. - LilDarlin1972
Sep 2006 - $22.00
Very nice, family oriented, no-alcohol allowed at this park. Hosts were very courteous. Recommend this park. - Scoutmaster253

Apr 2014 - $38.00
We thought it would be a good idea to check this campground out before we reserved a site and I'm glad we did just that. This is a older campground which could use a lot of updating. Yes, it looks and sounds great for the younger families with smaller trailers but that's about it. The roads are dirt so when it rains it gets mucky. They were working on the campgrounds and I do admit that when we visited it was there first day after a ruff winter. Also, there was a faint smell of cow manure in the air. - trails2hike
Jul 2012 - $34.00
Very friendly community of campers. I felt like I was among friends the first night. There were a few items we didn't bring along and they were glad to lend them to us without a second thought. The local authority came over, introduced himself and offered a hand setting up. There is a decent sized pond in the middle of the campground where most people spent most of their time. It was like bathwater. I could have slept there. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, one of my best cajoling experiences ever. I will definitely go back there. The only con I can think of was a dog that barked at everything that moved. Barking dogs have always been one of my pet peeved, but I still only have warm thought for this place. I'll definitely beveling there again" - Danw
Oct 2010 - $20.00
We went here as the last camp out of the year in October. The campground closed the day we left and we will not be back each year. The park was clean, including all of the restrooms, showers, office and store. There were no rentals of canoe or boats as the season in Michigan was ending. We were greeted very well and treated fantastic by the owner and his help. The sites are varied with most all grass and quite level. You are not dictated as to the exact placement of your rig and can 'circle the wagons' of a small group on adjoining sites. If you are looking for a quiet park with great treatment then come here and enjoy the park. - dalenoel

Aug 2013 - $37.00
Mostly seasonal campers. Not easy to find. BUT - this is a beautiful RV park. Quiet, relaxing. Very nice staff. Will stay here again. - Joyce and Gene Whitley
Aug 2012 - $40.00
We stayed in the only 2 sites that were full hookup. The rest of the full hookups are for the seasonal folks. The location was at the entrance, busy but quiet compared to the activities that was going on near the lake. The rest of the sites seem to be ok, but looked too close for our liking, especially if you have a noisy neighbor. The facility was acceptable and the seasonal units were kept in good shape. The Wi-Fi was a definitely hit and miss kind of event, but the staff told you that when you checked in. It was a nice 4 days rest. We tried this place because of it's short distance to get here. Likely go back for weekend getaway. - mgfiest
Aug 2011 - $40.00
This is a really nice park, quiet, lovely setting. Unfortunately the areas are all grassy and extremely uneven which made it difficult to level. Our tires were two feet off the ground in order to level. - Energizer

Jun 2017 - $38.00
This is a very nice park with lakes, a golf course and quiet in the Flint area. We were escorted to a very spacious back in concrete site that was level and long. The utilities were well placed and all worked fine, and we even had open sky for satellite. The folks in the office were very friendly. This park has many park models and lots of folks who stay for the summer-there are lots of activities available, including golf. Be careful when arriving, I missed the turn for the office and had to go down the road to be able to turn around! - ronboett
Sep 2016 - $38.00
As mentioned on many other reviews, this is a huge park, over 500 sites and most are park models/permanent/seasonal campers. Our site was a very nice concrete pad with 50amp and FHU. Everything worked well and getting satellite coverage was good. One thing I didn't see on any other review is that a train goes right through the campground, literally through it! Luckily, it didn't run during the night, but it did start at 5:30 a.m. We were only there 2 nights and the one day we were there, we were gone most of the day, but I did hear it go through at least 3 times. The park is very nicely landscaped and the fulltime resident take pride in their sites. Everyone was friendly and we would stay here again if in the area. - jacknpeg
Aug 2016 - $38.00
Used this park to stay in when we visited friends who stay in a seasonal park up the road. Site was back in grass with 50 amp service, good water pressure and sewer connection. The park is large with about 95% seasonal/summer folks. They keep a number of transient-nightly-weekly sites on the golf course side with some concrete, some grass sites with full hook-ups. Office staff friendly and we met one of the owners who was very friendly and accommodating when we wanted to switch sites. Would return when in this area visiting our friends. - xarmoreddriver

Jul 2008 - $19.00
We loved this campground. It's small and cozy, but the sites are large. Our site #21 was perfect. Located right on the beach (close enough to have great access, yet far enough not to be annoyed by the activity) it was perfect for a family. The restrooms were not very clean and the showers could use a little more upkeep, but other than that we have found another one of our favorite campgrounds here! - drmcleod
Jun 2007 - $22.00
This State Park is awesome. The campground needs some maturing, but the trails are great as is the fishing and swimming. But please be aware that although the lake at the campground is still okay, Big Seven Lake had it's dam break and is partly drained. This was the best lake for swimming although it is quite a hike from the campground. Hopefully they will get funding from the state to repair this situation. - lowell151
Jun 2004 - $15.00
This is a nice campground. If they get their act together the registration would be much better. No one at the gate, no one at the campground,no instructions so we called the 800# and they told us just to take one of the empty spots and someone would be there soon. - Donna P

Membership resort - stayed under ROD affiliation. Main roads paved, gravel site roads with long and wide, level gravel sites. Many of the sites have large trees and half with no trees for satellite signal. Grass between sites and large grass areas. Large heated pool, separate sauna and enclosed spa. New kids' playground. Nice lake with boat rentals. Lots of activities on weekends. Park well maintained. Usable WiFi signal at sites. 1 mile to large stores. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again. - Pepper Dan
Feb 2017 - $39.00
We are long-time members of this resort. The overall rating reflects our experience over the 15+ years we have been members. 'Value' is rated satisfactory for the following reasons: 1-The location and proximity to shopping and work allows year-round use. 2-The property is beautiful, containing a good fishing lake, hiking trails, and a separation from the surrounding urban areas. 3-The resort is surrounded by an upscale 27-hole golf course that is buffered from the campground and lake by trees and natural terrain. 'Service' is rated terrible for the following reasons: 1-If you have any questions, suggestions, or complaints that reflect negatively on the resort, your treatment by the resort management and staff may become adversarial. 2-The resort management is very legalistic. The default response to any incident or misfortune is the "member bears all responsibility". For instance, if a tree limb falls on your camper, the resort bears no responsibility. If the resort damages your camper while moving it to a site, the resort is not responsible. We've rated 'Cleanliness' as bad for these reasons: 1-The cleaning schedules for the facilities are set up for the convenience of the staff, not for the members. For instance, the main bathrooms/showers are cleaned during the busiest times in the morning when most members want to get ready for the day. 2-Even after 'cleaning', the results are substandard. As mentioned in other reviews, the sites are not level and do not drain properly. Some sites have been improved recently with crushed stone, but many others remain unimproved. The spring thaw is very messy! When our membership becomes due again, we will have to decide on whether the advantages outweigh the negatives. We have learned to keep a low profile and stay away from management and certain staff members. This privately-owned resort regularly bars members from using the campground as a tool to resolve disputes. Few people have the resources for legal battles. - Stone Mason
May 2016 - $1.00
Kept very clean, there are always rangers available for any questions you may have, free water park, free boats, free kayaks , brand new hot tub. Pool was clean and pleasant. Sauna was nice as well . We enjoyed a hike around the lake.... (don't forget the skeeter spray ). Small but nice general store. We like that we don't need a reservation. We will enjoy and get a lot of use out of our 5 year membership! The only bad thing is there seems to be a difference of past memberships and new ones, they need to merge and let past members aware of the changes. - PLPOLZIN55

Sep 2016 - $40.00
This was a moble home park not an RV park!!!! Site #23 was extremely sloped. The roads in the park were very narrow. discarded grass clippings covered our RV pad. We tracked in huge amounts of grass every time we entered our trailer. Our site was on a mosquito infested Creek. Pages of endless rules given on entry. Camp somewhere else! - Chilinparadise
Aug 2015 - $36.00
Primarily a mobile home park. Fairly level, a little tight backing in. Wonderful bath house. Huge video and book libraries, as well as an indoor pool, beach, mini golf, tennis, etc. Very quiet. Nice, helpful staff. Gated and guarded. The only reason I didn't rate it a 10 was because wifi was only available at the lodge, but AT&T and Verizon signals were strong. - Keeping up with the Joneses
Aug 2015 - $40.00
Lots of snow birds here with park models. Rental spots are scattered among park models. Roads are paved and sites are concrete with grass. Lots of amenities to include indoor pool, miniature golf and because of snow birds they have lots of nightly events. Thought price was a little high but we had no discounts and stayed only two nights so did not make use of weekly or monthly rates. We would stay here again. Bathrooms were fully tiled and easy to get to. - Mark from Missouri

Dilapidated location. Office was not marked and was the first of many unattractive buildings. - tabber386
Sep 2005 - $28.00
This is an older park. The restroom facilities were in great need of updating and repair. They were not very clean either. The rest of the park, however was clean. The owners were very nice and helpful. - ScrapperJo
Jul 2005 - $28.00
This park is a big mobile home park with maybe 60 campsites around the small lake. It is very old and needs repair and upgrades in order to be called a compground. The electric is very bad and not enough current to run an air conditioner, in fact the electricity would shut down in our rig often due to low voltage. The people that run the campground are wonderful, friendly and warm family oriented willing to help in anyway they can. The water is very hard with lots of iron in it and all the hookups are very poorly located on the site, making connections to the rig hard and in some cases even have to be run under the rig. This could be a great campground, however it is not now and we can not recommend it. - racomarley

Jul 2017 - $48.00
Charged us for child wristabands even though it says comes with site. Charged us early entry fee because we were 20 minutes early . Didn't tell us these fees until I reviewed charges on email. They forgot that the site they put us on was so uneven because it was full of holes and gravel that they were putting a drain in so they moved us to another site. All sites Rocky and heavy gravel. When I asked the young manager girl about my fees she just sneered and said " oh well I'm the manager so there's no one else I can go to! The man who took us to our site was the only person who seemed to know anything. Picnic tables are unsafe they are so rotten. - Mjhunt7
Jul 2017 - $65.00
We were only staying here as an overnight stay on our way to Mackinac City, thankfully. We were taken to a 50 amp pull through site that was level, but had dangerously low voltage. Our surge protector shut down and would not reset even after moving sites. They were unable to remedy the problem so they allowed us to move. We went through 4 more sites before finding a suitable one as they were very tight and poorly maintained. They also did not have sewer hook up. The staff seems to be made up of mostly kids, including the manager. This campground has a lot of potential but is in need of attention. There were not many people here for a beautiful June weekend. We would not camp here again. - Motorman173
Jun 2017 - $150.00
This place is awful. What is called a cabin is more of a garden shed. It's situated about 10 feet away of the next shed, I mean 'cabin'. If you drink and drink a lot of alcohol you may enjoy it. I don't drink so I'm not. I'm booked here til Monday. It's friday night, we are leaving tomorrow morning it's that bad. - Hmm wow
