We called to find a site just before a very busy weekend. At first, they said no sites were available but then said there might be something. They called us back a short time later and were able to accommodate us for the week we wanted to be there. They went well above and beyond for us. A great deal using Passport America, - Robert683
Sep 2011 - $32.00
As said before this park has a lot of seasonals but they are in their separate area. Sights were level and grassy. We were here in off season so not many people in the park. Park was clean and check in staff was friendly. Would not want to spend a week here but it was good for 2 nights to be able to sight see the Frankenmuth area. - Colette
Jun 2011 - $32.00
Nice level area, lots of spaces, but they tend to be narrow and are not paved at all. The roads are muddy and hold water in the rain. Nothing to write home about. Did not use or even look into the bathhouse but they were showing their age from the outside. No 50 amp service, 30 service was fine. Older campground but okay. - hug448844
Jul 2016 - $35.00
We were on the full service sites...lots are small. Staff is friendly. Firewood delivered to site. Pool was clean. Lake and beach was clean. Bands on the weekends. Volleyball on the weekend. Basketball court and mini golf offered. Store that sells anything from ice cream to trailer supplies. We stayed a week and next year staying two weeks. Have also signed up for a seasonal lot. Close to home. No rowdy campers. Quiet. Upon check in staff directed us to the lot. Dog friendly. (Can't take to the pool or store) Chose this park over others for the pool and close to home in case of bad weather. - Muskegon Bound
Jul 2015 - $28.00
We would have given this park a better overall rating but the roads were dirt and not well maintained. Lots of holes and ruts and when it rained they became mud. Sites were sparse grass and very hard to determine your lot lines. After the weekend most people left and they put another camper right next to us with lots of campfire smoke when they could have put them much farther away. 30 amp electric and water only. Most sites do not have sewer. Showers and bathrooms were in good repair and clean. Only one dump site for a very large park. - User1984
Aug 2014 - $35.00
This campground offers a lot of activities. There was a concert the first night we were here and numerous playgrounds for the kids. We camped on a pond and had some interesting neighbors (not the parks fault). It was a little tricky finding our spot as we checked in after dark but the park ranger was helpful. The site was level and we had room to park. - Trinket
Sep 2016 - $25.00
Very happy with the stay, will recommend to others. Waterfront access to Sebewaing River and out to Saginaw Bay. Great area, and very friendly people. - Michigan Man Forever
Jun 2011 - $24.00
This was our second summer staying here, the park is clean, the sites are grassy (you can not hardly find that anywhere else) and the showers and bathrooms are clean, We plan on going back next June and maybe staying a month. This park is more for people who like to fish as you can get right to the Saginaw Bay from the river. - campergirl58
Jul 2010 - $22.00
Arrived at 2p.m. July 18th 2010. The office was closed there was a sign on the door to call a number which we called an got a answer machine. The park was 50% empty so we decided to take a site away from anyone an backed in, no sooner got backed in an a truck came with a gentleman in it, saying the office would be opened later an did you have a reservation? No reservation we were just traveling. Less than ten minutes another gentleman showed up asking do you have a reservation we said no just passing through. Sometime later around 6 p.m. another person came to my door i own the campground i live in that trailer on site 2. I will be there in my trailer or in the office later but he wouldn't take any money from me then we had to go to the office. About 20 minutes later i had to go find him at his trailer and meet him at the office back at the front of the park to pay for a nights stay. Found out he had a camp host but he couldn't collect the money only the owner can collect money. It is a very nice campground large spaces but you spend most of your time trying to find the boss to pay your bill an was told that we prefer you make a reservation so we know you are coming. We don't think we will be back to the campground due to we don't make reservations because we never know where we will be going. The train came through and was a hour doing his thing whistles an slamming cars at 11:30p.m. we left early in the morning an never looked back. unhappy customer! - wheretootraveler
Sep 2013 - $50.00
Owners and staff are cordial, helpful, pleasant as are all the seasonals. Facilities are beautiful, clean & comfortable. Would recommend this campground for seasonals as well as weekenders. - TOP unseasonal
Aug 2016 - $67.00
This is a gated park in a location convenient to the nice little town of Frankenmuth. It was easy to find and the office staff friendly.
I did not use the showers. The women's restroom was clean, but not air-conditioned. This gave it a feeling of being less than clean because it was extremely humid and over 90 degrees during our stay.
There was a beautiful outdoor pool next to the restrooms that looked inviting, but was never opened although the sign said, "Opening summer of 2016." It seemed really odd for this big new finished pool to be inaccessible in mid-August when there are so few days left in the season. The indoor pool was opened, but again, it was so hot and humid in the pool area, it was not inviting.
There are a limited number of 50 amp sites and the pads are crushed stone, not concrete. Some of the corners are tight and the park roads are very narrow, making it a little difficult to navigate a big rig.
The park advertises "free high-speed" internet, however, we could not even access our email using their wi-fi. There was an antenna next to our site and our devices said that the strength was at 100%, but the band width was so minimal, neither our tablets nor laptops could even access email or a web page. The park was sparsely occupied on the first couple of days we were here, so I doubt the problem was due to an excess of devices using their Wi-Fi. The free cable was via Direct TV and provided poor reception for only 22 channels. When it rained we lost service. We will not likely stay here again. Although the park overall was ok, it is WAY overpriced for the services provided. It is more like a $25 to $35 per night park. The price before our military discount was $71 per night for weekdays and $76 for weekends.
I was really sorry that I had paid for three days before we found out: no outdoor pool and no internet since those were the reasons we chose this park. - ahmavic
Jul 2016 - $63.00
Very nice and spacious. Quiet and friendly. Not much to do in the area other than the Christmas store. WiFi not good. - Genielady
Jun 2016 - $45.00
We spent two nights. The park is very clean and laid out very well so that access is easy in and easy out. Standard sites are very close, a 10' wide gravel parking strip separated by a 10' grass strip. Slideouts are very close. Premium sites have more space, some with paved patios.
WIFI was extremely slow. There is no cable TV. There were more than a dozen stations received by our antenna. - R V Camper
Sep 2013 - $50.00
There are so many reasons for there being numerous vacancies while other campgrounds are full but the # 1 reason would be the owners. They can’t separate business from their personal lives. They set rules and regulations and they exempt themselves and campground employees. Billing is always an issue with them over charging and refusing to remove charges. They say they are always open to discuss problems then walk away, hang up on you or not answer door when you try. They think they can tell those using the campground what they can talk about, who they can talk to, who they can do things for or help, who they can hang out with, right down to what they can even think. This creates a dictatorship like atmosphere with people being afraid to breathe. They evict people, publish their names and warn people that they hope others learn from this. They think they can speak to campers rudely even cussing and swearing and yelling at them in front of others and even at your guests. There is such an undercurrent of fear and unrest that I could not feel comfortable or relax when I was there. The straw that broke the camel’s back was on July 11, 2013, Consumers pulled all main electrical meters in the campground. Owners brought in generators and informed all (except a select few) they could not run air conditioners, making it so many could not use their campers due to health issues or high uncomfortable temps. On the 1st morning of generator power, one generator ran out of gas. Thus single phasing power to several campers doing extensive damage, and to this day they have never admitted responsibility. The outage lasted for a good part of 2 months of the summer. Sad to see what was a really lovely campground destroyed by the owners. You can be a good guy one moment and a bad guy the next depending on which way the owner’s mood is swinging and that’s a constant pendulum. The injustices I witnessed and was put through myself by the owners is unbelievable. It sickened me to see the owners bullying people. I even witnessed their child telling other children that if they didn’t do as they said, they’d have them kicked out. I could go on and on, but will end now with hopes that this will save many others from going through the nightmare we were put through. We did our time, sorry to say. - TOP unseasonal
Sep 2013 - $25.00
A beautiful campgrounds. Family friendly...lots of activities. Great swimming and fishing lake. Everything is kept up and clean. The owners live in the park, they are constantly working to improve the park. We love camping here!!! Give this park five stars!! - myjeep
Jul 2013 - $25.00
Terrible campground. Nothing was the same as what they advertised on the web site. Wi-Fi was turned off; the lakefront site was on a swamp/marsh; the activities were cancelled at the last minute because there were no 'volunteers' to do them (they rely on seasonals to organize their activities); and the site we booked (and paid for in advance) was not reserved for us. Phone calls not returned. Low voltage power through July/August (ran on generators). The list goes on. Beautiful property but terrible management. - Susan_Sunflowers
Apr 2017 - $18.00
FHU; 30-50 amps; water; sewer; free wi-fi; no cable but lots of stations on batwing; some gravel, most grass sites; back-ins and pull-thrus; $17.50/night with Passport America. - Keith/Ruth
Sep 2016 - $18.00
Very nice, quiet campground. All sites have FHU, 20-30-50 amp electric. Very good WIFI (since the park was empty) and several OTA TV signals. We were here mid-week a week after Labor Day so we cannot say what it would be like during the summer but the setting is beautiful, lots of open space throughout the park, very well maintained and clean. There are over 400 sites here and many are pull-through sites. - Bob & Stephanie
Aug 2016 - $17.00
This is a wonderful park with great people working the desk. I would have given it a 10 overall if it hadn't been for the huge boulders on the corners of the turns. We have a 45' coach and my husband had to make multiple attempts at the turns (by backing up, readjusting, inching his way around the turns) or he would have hit the boulders. Also, the trees hit the top of our RV, so they need to be trimmed.
Other than that, it was a nice park with friendly people. We would stay here again. - malnmad
Aug 2016 - $23.00
Nice little campground at the end of the road. Small with only 50 some spaces. Road was paved and sites have level concrete pad. Water was way back between sites so I needed my 100 foot hose. WiFi was actually very good. Quiet, plenty of shade and nice breeze. Hiking trails. Great find. - Gr8daggett
Aug 2016 - $24.00
Nice campground. But way away from the interstate. Not a whole lot to do here.
Concrete pads, 50 amp and sewer. Well maintained. Be sure you have extra water hose because on some sites you have to share the same fixture with your neighbor. I had approx. 40' distance to get water. - archbarb
Aug 2016 - $22.00
Although in a rural area away from town, the park is worth the drive. Large paved and level back-in sites are well spaced. Hookups worded well, although the sewer connection is 6" above ground and four sites share water connections. WiFi worked well and Verizon cell/data were strong. No cable TV, but ample OTA channels and a clear shot at the satellites from most sites. Be sure and ask for a site with shade if visiting during hot weather, as some sites are in the open. Watch carefully for street signs, since the park is on a back road and poorly marked. Overall, a quiet, worthwhile stay at a very reasonable price. - Meanderman
Sep 2012 - $29.00
We had a great three night stay. The golf course was well groomed. Everyone was friendly, both staff and guests. The showers were very clean but could use a little updating. It rained all night our last night there and all the roads were quite muddy when we left in the morning. We will be staying at this park again. - John Tee
Jul 2012 - $30.00
Nice amenities, and a great golf course. Staff was very friendly. Will be back! - Vanroller68
Aug 2010 - $27.00
This campground was everything we could have hoped for considering it was our first time out with our new Travel Trailer. The owner might be the nicest lady I've ever met, you can tell she loves this campground more than anything. The rates I thought were quite reasonable considering you got free water and cable service. The sites were a bit close together, but we had no one on one side of us so it wasn't all that bad. There are several seasonals at this site, a couple of which looked a bit run down, but everyone we ran into were very cordial. There is a very nice 18 hole golf course right on premises, which was a nice touch. They do run activities, such as fishing and euchre tournaments. The bathhouses were old, but well maintained. A small camp store was available with a few odds and ends. Not much of a fire pit, but we made do. The only real complaint I had was that the flies were insane!! You would have thought there was a rotting animal under our trailer, because they were just all over. My guess would be the ranch just down the road could have something to do with the fly population. Overall a pretty good experience, we would stay here again. - J Miller
May 2017 - $39.00
Great park close to Birch Run Outlet Mall and Frankenmuth. Sites would feel close if park was full but when we came there were very few units. Huge trees, nice people and fairly quiet. We would stay again. No wifi that we could find but lots of air TV channels - Kbittle
Oct 2016 - $37.00
Expensive for what you get. Gravel/dirt sites on gravel roads. No cable or WiFi. Laundry: 2 washers and dryers for the entire park. Showers cost money to use. Staff is friendly but service people cut through occupied sites with golf carts and other equipment. Understand the monthly price just went up to 720.00. - Boxcar Bill
Oct 2016 - $37.00
Nice park in a good location. We would definitely go back. A little smokey but that's hard to avoid in most parks. I would prefer a smoke free section. - ga80486
