I won't repeat all of the information in previous posts as to location, etc. We camped here with 2 of our children and their families. We found the campsites to be spacious, nice fire rings and fairly level. I did not have to level side to side. The campground does have a lot of seasonal campers, but we found them to be quiet and friendly. The campground management was friendly and helpful. We experienced a lot of children in the campground, but they were not a problem. The campground was quiet before quiet hours started. We used the laundry room a number of times and it was clean and machines worked as they should. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely camp here again. Leelanau Pines Campground is located roughly 30 minutes outside of Traverse City and about 20 minutes from Lake Michigan. It is located on Lake Leelanau and has boat access to the lake and docking availability. The campground is very quiet. If you like a lively active campground, this is may not be the place for you. We only saw a few families with children. Approximately 60% of the sites are seasonal campers. The camp store had a variety of food products and camping supplies although it was not overly large and the selection was somewhat limited. There is ice and firewood available. You choose your own firewood (whatever fills one side of a cart they give you). The amount of firewood is very good for the $5 you pay. It is not stored in a covered shelter, so one night we had some damp wood. One very nice feature was that there was a laundry room. We camped at Leelanau Pines Campground in a Tent Trailer.Undo

Felt welcome here. Boat ramp could be better. Water access is great. Owner accommodating for handicapped spouse. Campground worn. Laundry, shower, bathroom facilities updated and clean. If back in Michigan I would come back. We camped at Leelanau Pines Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

If you enjoy a very "Campy" atmosphere, this is for you. It is aptly named, located in an old pine forest. Narrow, dirt roads, no paved sites, very little grass, minimal sunshine. Dark, shady park. Tiny campsites, crowded together. Lots of older, seasonal trailers. The entry drive is deceptively modern, sunny and blacktop. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. Gorgeous scenery and lovely towns. We camped at Leelanau Pines Campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo
