This is a new RV park, just opened this season. The park has no trees, so no obstacles. Roads are wide compacted gravel. Sites are asphalt treated compacted gravel. We were here during the worst rain the area has had in history but there was little to no pooling or run off damage. Whoever graded this park did an excellent job. Site are level, wide and deep. They don't have any true pull throughs but there are sites that they tell you to pull through across the grass. Water pressure was excellent, WiFi was excellent and fast, no cable and we could not pickup any local stations on the Digital antenna. Satellite reception was excellent with no trees to interfere. Sewer was toward the front of the site which required a 20 foot sewer hose run. Office was still under construction. There is no direct beach access, but there is a public beach just a half mile down the road. We would stay here again. There are no amenities for kids. We camped at Pictured Rocks RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Someday this will be a great campground. For now, it's just getting going but all the right things are done. Excellent hookups including sewer, level sites, nice site posts, fire rings, picnic tables, brand new office and bathhouse buildings, easy to navigate roads. Wifi was spotty but usable. No over-the-air channels. No cell service with T-Mobile. I liked the reservation email confirmation and the follow-up email the day before check-in was a nice touch. We would stay here again. We camped at Pictured Rocks RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

The good: Close to everything there is to do in the area. Picnic tables are new. Plenty of sites available. Satellite TV friendly. We didn't use the restrooms but I did look at the shower. They are separate little rooms with a shower and sink and it looked clean. The not so good: Hard to get level. Very dirty and dusty, not much gravel. Hook-ups are good but way too far back. Wifi wasn't dependable but my Verizon hotspot was fine. We backed up as far as we could but still had to use 20' of sewer hose. Most rigs had 2 or more sewer hoses out so come prepared for that if you stay here. No trees or landscaping in the park. Grass hasn't come in very well which it too bad because that would help. Another note is that the sign is too far back from the road and you don't see it until it's almost time to turn. Some gravel, grass and landscaping would greatly improve this park. Unless that happens I doubt we would stay here again because everything got very dirty during our stay. If you don't mind camping on dirt the location is great. The sites around the perimeter would be better than where we were in the middle. Sites 26 and 27 actually have a bit of privacy. We camped at Pictured Rocks RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a new cg but very busy. Lots of folks staying for a few days to see Pictured Rocks and Lake Superior. There are no trees except on the perimeter and the grass has yet to come in. The young owners are working hard to get this right. Hydro seeding and cutting was done while we were there. The bathrooms are clean but not complete. Mirrors still on the counter and floors not tiled. Did not use the showers but looked in. Appeared clean. They are very long and narrow with no hooks, chairs, or anything for your belongings. Sites are level gravel. Lots of sand with an attempt of grass. Nice and wide but the lack of landscaping makes you feel like your neighbors are close. There is a common strip of ground between the campers that would be really nice with some greenery as a separator. This cg sounded noisier than others we have stayed in. Coughing, motorcycles, and the traffic noise from M-28 just seemed loud. Again, landscaping would help this. The utilities are far back on each site. Almost had to use 2 hoses to reach the sewer but we made it. Did notice many folks were using 2 hoses. Utility set up was not well thought out. We camped at Pictured Rocks RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the Pictured Rocks cruise to appreciate their beauty. Very nice free beaches nearby. Multiple warnings posted about kayaking on Lake Superior due to the cold water and quickly changing conditions. If you choose to go out, only sea kayaks 14' or longer are considered safe. There are many smaller lakes close by. We enjoyed Bruno's Run Trail but it is a 12 mile hike; not the 9.1 mi as stated in AllTrails or 10 miles as mentioned on the trailhead post.

This park is brand new and just getting started so the owners are still working hard to get things right. There was WiFi but it kept going down totally so very unreliable. The owner did work with us although it wasn't resolved even after the IT guy made a visit. Our spot was grass and gravel. It was roomy mainly because the park has not been discovered yet and was not full. It is very close to Pictured Rocks. No cable, we didn't try OTA. Verizon was weak. We camped at Pictured Rocks RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a brand new park. That said, it comes with growing pains!! There are 70 sites in several loops. The bathhouse is centrally located. Our site was nice and level, new picnic table and fire ring. All utilities worked great. Sites are FHU. However, since it is so new, the grounds are sparse of grass and no trees. If it's windy expect dust, if it's sunny you will need your awning. The bathhouse consists of men's and ladies rooms (toilets) and separate shower rooms. Again, so new that there were no hooks, benches, curtains etc in the shower rooms. No mirrors in the bathrooms. Water temp is controlled, and was cold. Men's bathroom only had 1 toilet (not enough considering # of sites). If you're in need of a place to stay near Munising, you are likely going to find space here. Very close to a few nice restaurants and just 15 minutes into town. The owners were very friendly and helpful and they're working very hard to get their business off the ground. I recommend giving them a shot. I would not hesitate to stay here again! We camped at Pictured Rocks RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
