Campground IS NOT closed. We had a great time. Would have given it a 10 except the restrooms are disgusting (at least the men's anyways). There isn't much for small kids to do. Recommend bringing games like beantoss or ladder golf, etc. No real hangout places for teens except over at Bluebell Beach. Having a boat here is almost a necessity. Makes it WAY more fun. The sites that are in area D and not on the water are still neat sites in the shade and still able to see the water. Busy lake on the weekends. Lots of waves. They have a no alcohol policy. We just put it in cups and kept our site clean. We got asked to be quiet one time, yet were up late all 4 nights. They were friendly and just said we have to quiet down a bit, and we did. To me, that's awesome. I don't go camping to sleep, I want to have a good time! But overall the campground wasn't excessively noisy at night, but everyone was up early. We camped at Wolverine Campground in a Tent Trailer.

This campground has been doing improvements since the last post, they have a morning crew
cleaning the bathrooms which also have been updated. The main shower unit is up in the front, far from most campsites so it would be a drive. Some campsites had pine trees on them giving lots of shade, sites are still not marked clearly and I would have run into a problem with the electrical hook-up if I had a neighbor who required 30 amp service. I believe this problem is limited to select sites. Electric boxes seemed somewhat new and labeled. Playground seemed non-existent, but the had a volleyball court and a place to play horseshoes. Waterfront sites seemed great, but you are limited as to how to put your trailer. You also need to buy firewood outside of campground to bring in because all the sell you is pine. I will go back due to some attractions in the area and my kid loving the water. We camped at Wolverine Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is popular because of the beach and reservior that it is on. There is boat, and watercraft access right from your site if you get one of the waterfront sites. That's the only good thing about this campground. The teens hired to run the place could care less about you and your problems, they are more concerned about having a good time. The entire campground was extremely dusty and dirty, no attempt was made to control the dust from the dirt roads and it would fill our RV with dust everytime someone drove by. The bathrooms were always out of toilet paper, and filled with waste on the floors, in the showers, and often not cleaned up right away. Most of the campground is filled with tents, loud, obnoxious drunk people all hours of the night. Complaints fell on deaf ears. The campground is locked down at midnight, so if you wanted to go into town to a local tavern, you had to be in before midnight or you didn't get in. We had a corner site on the water, and the entire weekend our site was used by other people as a place to fish from, and walk through to get to the water. All the sites across the road from us thought it was their right to cross our site to go and see and sit by the water. We had grandchildren swimming in the water at our site, until our neighbors decided it was the best place to dock their boat and walk over to their site across from us. The kids couldn't swim after that. The only showers in the campground are situated up front by the entrance, so you had to drive to go to them. And lastly, the trees are so thick in every site, it is a chore to get your trailer in without having a tree in the middle of the site. None of the sites are clearly defined, so neighbors often spill over into your site. We had one of the largest sites here and still could not put out both our slide out and awning at the same time because of trees. If you can put up with all of this, then the water sites are for you! New view and watching the boats is fun. We will find someplace else to stay next time. We camped at Wolverine Campground in a Travel Trailer.
