This park is older and run down, has a lot of potential though. Proprietors make their money from long term rentals not for transient. It does not appear that the owners are very hands on. Other than check-in never saw anyone except for a guy mowing once a week. There does not appear to be any enforcement of any rules, policies or conditions. If you don't mind the conditions or don't spend a lot of time at your site this could be a good value. Pro: Good location for exploring Southwestern Michigan. Lot of trees, very shady and there is sufficient overhead clearance for big rigs however it can be very tight maneuvering into a campsite. Some turns can be very tight. Utilities are sufficient. Most sites have 50 amp service, water, and septic. Picnic tables but the fire rings are Semi truck rims, makes them movable but very messy. Over air TV reception is pretty good, approx 12-15 channels between Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. Because of the tree coverage could have difficulty with satellite TV but our Sirius worked fine. Absolutely no Internet. Cell Service was good and steady. There is a pool but didn't go. Security for park is a gate with key pad. There is also a small store on site but didn't go there either. Not much else for entertainment Lots of ponds and a stream, need maintenance. Even considering the shade, ponds and the amount of rain this area had gotten the mosquito nemesis was not too bad. Cons This park is mostly for yearly sites. The majority of the sites are small trailers that have been there for years with extensive landscaping and structures. Lots of children playing on the road. Not a problem, just drive slow. Weekends can get busy of course with groups coming in and camping in mass. The pics posted by the owners are from a very different time. We camped at Leisure Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The roads coming toward the park from I-94 can be extremely rough particularly CR699. Suggest taking Hwy 51 in.

Area is great for exploring southwest Michigan. Best trip was Gilmore Auto Museum. Also enjoyed Kalamzoo Air Zoo.

A family campground in a "back to nature" setting." Friendly neighbors and staff. Swimming pool, lake, plenty of room for the kids to run and play. Our site was "rustic" and private - we liked that a lot! We stayed only one night, sat around a fire and watched fire flies. Would gladly return for a vacation length stay. One caution - bring plenty of insect repellant. Mosquitoes had their way with me. We camped at Leisure Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fair Verizon data & voice. Good air TV. Price quoted is PA price. Pull through sites are actually dual sites front to back, only pull through if both empty. Pool not operating when we were there (early in season). Quiet park. Fairly level hard pack dirt sites. Small lake on property. Watch for dirt entry drive just west of park sign. We camped at Leisure Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We camped here with Passport America and it was a great value as they gave us the price for all 3 days we stayed. We were able to pull through a site due to the park not being busy. It was extremely quiet but we were here before the season. The pond is beautiful and clean but it was too cold to swim. The pool wasn't open for the season yet. There was a lot of grass and trees and was a peaceful setting. We followed the directions on the web site and had no problem finding the park, but it is a bit out of town. There were 3 good signs just as we were questioning how far we had traveled. The one issue we had was that the 30 amp breaker was very old, so we had to manage our electric more than usual, as it didn't seem adequate. I had good internet service with my Verizon card on my laptop. Park was clean and maintained. We camped at Leisure Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Park was hard to find due to sign overgrown by weeds & bushes. Campground is located in rural area behind homes. It is very quiet. Park was only partially full. I was able to pull through multiple sites due to empty spaces. There are paved interior roads for full hook-up sites but dirt for electric & tent sites. All sites are grassy with shade from large maple trees. This is a clean park with mostly seasonals. It has small ponds for fishing & swimming and a short hiking trail through woods. Restrooms are dated but fairly clean. Park once had grand plans but is not quite reaching them. We camped at Leisure Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground is pretty nice overall. The showers are old, but were clean. Pool was small, but it was very clean. The kids playground equipment was a joke. The sites are not real deep, but plenty wide enough for your slide to go out and not be on top of the next guy. They do advertise wi-fi, but it is only available about 5 feet from the office. The fishing was pretty good with bluegill, bass, and perch caught, and no license required. We would probably go back. We camped at Leisure Valley RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The campground was well maintained and quiet. The sites were flat, grassy, well shaded and roomy. The restrooms and showers were clean and well maintained, although they could use some updating. Overall, a nice relaxing place to stay. Just make sure to get good directions, as the place is well off the beaten track. We camped at Leisure Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
