Stayed here for three nights. The campground is a mixture of travellers and seasonal campers. We had a nice spot with a view of the lake. Locals come to the lake on weekends to fish and relax. Unfortunately, we couldn't get out and do much due to rain and flooding in the area. The campground did a good job of trying to remove water from the campsites. Spots were a bit close and would be very hot in the summer. There were no laundry facilities. No wifi, but Verizon coverage was good. Cabela's is close if you need to shop or get a good meal. We camped at Wilderness Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Cabela's is close if you like to shop or want a meal out.

Wow, just wow.......and I don't mean this in a good way. We opted to stay here for an overnight stay.. They gave us a "pull through" which is just a spot in a field and we had to drive through a wet area in the field to get into our spot, almost getting stuck in the mud. Michigan is tough for finding a quick overnight spot when traveling through, so you take what you can. In hindsight, a parking lot looks like a palace! Lot's full time residents and some interesting RV/Trailer set ups, kind of trashy. We camped at Wilderness Campground in a Motorhome.

I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, but since it was on my path anyway, it was a good value at the Passport America rate. No Wi-Fi, and the AT&T signal was very weak, but Verizon signal was strong. Free cable TV, and lots of over the air channels. The activities are included in the nightly rate, not extra as mentioned in an older review. I was not charged any of the surcharges mentioned in the older review. The transient sites are in a big open field, and have no sewer hookups. There are a number of attractions for kids, especially younger ones, and this park would probably be a very good value for young families, even at the standard rate. We camped at Wilderness Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The water smells. In the shower house and the water that we used in our camper. We won't be back. We camped at Wilderness Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here one night as we were passing through. At 4 miles east of the Cabela's in Dundee, this is the closest without dry camping in the Cabela's parking lot. It is a 30 acre park with approximately 100 sites. It operates seasonally from April 24 through November 2. It appears about half their business comes from seasonal campers who have their trailers parked there year round. It has a swimming pond and a fishing/boating pond on site - usage available with extra fee. Fishing pond was well stocked with 6-8 inch bass and sunfish. Their fee structure is alacarte e.g. daily with 20 amp is $30; daily with 30 amp and water is $32; daily with 50 amp and water is $35. If you run an A/C or electric heater that is an extra $3.50 per day. Their rates are structured around a family (defined specifically as Mom, Dad, and two children). Additional overnight guests have a separate rate scale per person based on age. If you pay by debit/credit card there is an additional fee of $2 also. The owners were friendly and helpful in getting set up in our site. The said they have owned it for only a year and are trying to make improvements. They don't seem to be set up to cater to the traveling public but rather as a local weekend destination for seasonal users. The park wasn't busy when we stayed and seemed high priced for what we got. Next time we're in the area we will probably dry camp at Cabela's or stay in one of the RV sites at the nearby rest area on the Ohio Turnpike. We camped at Wilderness Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
