Not our style. So disappointed to see mostly seasonal units with very few overnight sites. Check in at office, then u-turn to enter golf entrance down the road. We are walkers and were run over with golf carts going in both directions. Does no one walk anymore?! No place for dog to run or poop but on lawns. No WiFi, no cable. So the price is ok for a couple of days. We camped at Holiday Shores RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is 99% park models and seasonal residents; however, a small area is set aside for transients. These sites are paved and wide with easy access and good utilities. The permanent residences are all neat and tidy and most face the lake. The streets are wide and easy to navigate. Very well kept. No laundry or restrooms (that I saw). Very quiet even though 1 train a day went through. Nice location. We camped at Holiday Shores RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park with lakes, a golf course and quiet in the Flint area. We were escorted to a very spacious back in concrete site that was level and long. The utilities were well placed and all worked fine, and we even had open sky for satellite. The folks in the office were very friendly. This park has many park models and lots of folks who stay for the summer-there are lots of activities available, including golf. Be careful when arriving, I missed the turn for the office and had to go down the road to be able to turn around! We camped at Holiday Shores RV Resort and Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

As mentioned on many other reviews, this is a huge park, over 500 sites and most are park models/permanent/seasonal campers. Our site was a very nice concrete pad with 50amp and FHU. Everything worked well and getting satellite coverage was good. One thing I didn't see on any other review is that a train goes right through the campground, literally through it! Luckily, it didn't run during the night, but it did start at 5:30 a.m. We were only there 2 nights and the one day we were there, we were gone most of the day, but I did hear it go through at least 3 times. The park is very nicely landscaped and the fulltime resident take pride in their sites. Everyone was friendly and we would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Holiday Shores RV Resort and Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There are lots of restaurants and shopping in Flint which is about 10 miles down the road. Other than that, the area seems pretty dead. The RV park does have a golf course.

Used this park to stay in when we visited friends who stay in a seasonal park up the road. Site was back in grass with 50 amp service, good water pressure and sewer connection. The park is large with about 95% seasonal/summer folks. They keep a number of transient-nightly-weekly sites on the golf course side with some concrete, some grass sites with full hook-ups. Office staff friendly and we met one of the owners who was very friendly and accommodating when we wanted to switch sites. Would return when in this area visiting our friends. We camped at Holiday Shores RV Resort and Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

A generally well kept campground with mostly park models and seasonal fifth wheels and trailers. Backin sites ranging from all grass to gravel and grass to concrete pads. Seasonal sites tend to be somewhat cluttered and overstuffed, but most are not quite to the junky stage. Overall the campground feels rather crowded even though the sites are relatively wide. It is not a big rig friendly campground. The trees on Goodall road are not trimmed for taller rigs. Big rigs going to the 300-500 sites have to turn around at the office, go back out to Goodall road, then down to the golf course entrance (swing wide) as the turns on the interior roads are too tight. From there careful maneuvering will get a big rig to the site, but dropping the toad is advisable. Access roads are not wide enough for two rigs to pass and are generally filled with golf carts (we saw 38 go by our site in a single hour). Noise from the highway is highly dependent on wind direction going from barely noticeable to loud, but it was mostly on the quiet side over a 2 week period. A train track runs thru the campground (2 or 3 trains per day), but is not really objectionable. Power ok, water moderate (40 psi), sewer ok. No wifi except at clubhouse. Verizon LTE 3-4 bars with decent speed even in the evenings. T-Mobile LTE 2 bars with adequate speed. Cardboard recycle on site. Five miles of roads in campground for bike riding. No decent road bike trails near campground although several within an hours drive. We will probably go elsewhere when next in the area. We camped at Holiday Shores RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.

We chose this campground as a one night stopover on the trip to get to the other side of Michigan. There were a lot of mobile homes as well as campers that were full time. Even so it was a very nice looking campground and well maintained. It was also very large with a couple of lakes and a 9 hole golf course.
Our site was grass but very level. There was no cable but the OTA channels were plenty for 1 night. No wifi though.
We would stay again for a longer visit. We camped at Holiday Shores RV Resort and Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This family owned/operated park is almost completely used by permanent/seasonal "park models" or RVs. The park is kept in very good condition, paved roads, concrete sites, with many of the residents adding tasteful landscaping. There is one area that is set aside primarily for non-permanent travelers. This area is open and flat, with concrete pads/patios, full hook-ups, cement fire rings, picnic tables, and a large common pavilion (with electric and picnic tables) that is available for use free of charge (reserve at office). There is a beach area (drive there). The owners are building a beautiful lodge which will make a very nice addition. Plenty of water for (non-motor) boating/fishing, and a 9-hole golf course ($). The main drawback to this facility is that there are no restrooms for visitors. We camped at Holiday Shores RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.

Close to I-69. Easy on/off. We travel to this area to visit family. Nearby Flint doesn't have much to offer these days. Shop at the new Meijer's in Swartz Creek.

We do not give many RV Resorts/Campgrounds an Overall Rating of 10 but this one deserves it! Site 512 is a full concrete pad with full hookup 50 amp service. All the sites are level with plenty of green space between the sites. We had good Verizon phone and data service. Most of the sites in this resort are seasonal. They have a 9 hole golf course which was reasonable to play and is in excellent condition. We would definitely stay here again if we visit the area. We camped at Holiday Shores RV Resort and Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful, well maintained park with plenty of shaded sites. We would definitely camp here again. Our only reason for not getting a 10 would be the complete lack of public restrooms/showers. We enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing weekend here. We camped at Holiday Shores RV Resort and Golf Course in a Travel Trailer.

This is the nicest park we have stayed at in all our years of travel. Huge lots with some paved and some grass. For week-ends and holidays you really need reservations. Great paved walking paths. Although most of the lots are park models of full time RVs, the people are very friendly. WiFi is available through the phone company but very expensive. Our Verison worked great. Overall Rating:

We stayed here for five nights in July and had a wonderful experience. It appeared that the majority of sites are full time seasonal and yet there were a fair amount of other campers here for a few days or weeks. The campground was clean and very well maintained. During the week it was mainly adults and full timers who were around but on the weekend many of the families including children and grandchildren were around. There were no restroom facilities that we could find and no pool. Nevertheless our site was a concrete pad, well spaced with our neighbors and lots of room all around. Everyone around here was friendly, and it appears that most of them drive around in golf carts. We would come back here again. We camped at Holiday Shores RV Resort and Golf Course in a Travel Trailer.
