This is an OK campground if you need to stop somewhere. The site was long enough for our big rig, but was heavily treed and therefore no satellite. Also no AT&T phone service. Wi-Fi was from a small router that couldn't be maintained. Escanaba is 6-7 miles away and is useful for restocking (Walmart supercenter). Even though the campground is near the lake there is really nothing around it. Not our cup of tea, but others may find it perfectly adequate. We camped at Park Place of the North in a Motorhome.

Nice long pull through sites tucked behind trees. Quiet park. Very nice friendly people. Shower could stand a good deep cleaning and a larger shower curtain. Good satellite reception in our spot. Inexpensive laundry. Would return. We camped at Park Place of the North in a Travel Trailer.

The owner was very friendly and accommodating in assigning us a site where we could get satellite reception. Very quiet though on a busy highway and close to town and attractions. Lots of trees and a few tight turns which could be a problem for larger rigs over 37'. Would return again. We camped at Park Place of the North in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice size, level sites. Lots of big shade trees. Clean facilities with locked doors. Walk on boardwalk to Lake Michigan. Boardwalk needs to be replaced in some spots as it was washed away but still able to get to the beach (wear shoes that can get muddy/wet). We camped at Park Place of the North in a Travel Trailer.

Nice little campground just about 5 min south of Escanaba. Their sandy beach was no more since Lake Michigan's water level has dropped so much, so don't come here to go to the beach. Manager is very nice and helpful, bathrooms are kept locked with a "secret" code, I think this helps them keep it them as clean as their are. Laundry is very fairly priced and works well. There is no store on property (except to buy wood) but there is a store next door 300' from the entrance of the campground and it is well stocked. Oh and the campground does not accept credit cards, cash or check only... not a problem but nice to know in advance. Sites are pretty darn big too, had no issues in our 30' with two slides... dump station is also very clean. We camped at Park Place of the North in a Travel Trailer.
