This is a lovely small campground with paved back-in sites. Sites are a generous size and there are plenty of trees for privacy and shade. There are a couple of nature trails and a boat ramp for access to the lake. Easy access for big rigs. Very clean and well maintained. Affordably priced. This was our second stay, and we'll be back again. We camped at Finn Road Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

As we drove through Bay City we saw many beautiful old buildings. We wished we had a couple of days to explore the area. Boat ramp next to campground if you have a boat and want to go out on Saginaw Bay.

Clean campground, friendly people, quiet at night.

Dumpster has been overflowing since the weekend...should be serviced either twice a week or called in when cannot close the lids.

Overall a great campground, would recommend to friends. (Maybe a recycling area for plastic bottles, cans, etc would help alleviate need for extra trash dumping?) We camped at Finn Road Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice little campground at the end of the road. Small with only 50 some spaces. Road was paved and sites have level concrete pad. Water was way back between sites so I needed my 100 foot hose. WiFi was actually very good. Quiet, plenty of shade and nice breeze. Hiking trails. Great find. We camped at Finn Road Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground. But way away from the interstate. Not a whole lot to do here.

Concrete pads, 50 amp and sewer. Well maintained. Be sure you have extra water hose because on some sites you have to share the same fixture with your neighbor. I had approx. 40' distance to get water. We camped at Finn Road Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Although in a rural area away from town, the park is worth the drive. Large paved and level back-in sites are well spaced. Hookups worded well, although the sewer connection is 6" above ground and four sites share water connections. WiFi worked well and Verizon cell/data were strong. No cable TV, but ample OTA channels and a clear shot at the satellites from most sites. Be sure and ask for a site with shade if visiting during hot weather, as some sites are in the open. Watch carefully for street signs, since the park is on a back road and poorly marked. Overall, a quiet, worthwhile stay at a very reasonable price. We camped at Finn Road Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Located within an easy drive of the expensive "Bavarian" tourist village of Frankenmuth and it's famous Christmas Store. Convenient to Bay City with a variety of shopping and dining choices and an interesting downtown and riverfront.

We arrived with no reservation, and the office was closed with a number posted. We are from Canada so have no cell sevice in the US. Another camper saw us and kindly called the posted number for us to get us a site. Lovely back in campground sites with cement pads. Very clean showers and grounds. We camped at Finn Road Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Really nice campground, quiet and away from town at the end of a dead end road. Very few kids. All sites are back-in with plenty of distance between sites on either side. Center row sites will allow RVs to back in further than perimeter sites. No parking vehicles on the grass. If you have a long 5er (or toy hauler with rear patio) and crew cab long bed, you may want a center site, that way you can back up further into the site. Loop road and all sites are paved. 2 walking/bike trails. 1 is short and goes along the canal toward the lake. The other is several miles long and starts across the road. No fenced dog area. Antenna pulled in a good number of channels. Free WiFi worked fairly well, not good enough for video steaming though. Water pressure was 45 PSI. Office will accept UPS/FedEx packages. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Finn Road Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Bay City, MI has several good restaurants. Grampa Tony's Italian restaurant has good food. Tasty sauce and meatballs. Krzysiak's Polish restaurant has a good Polish dinner buffet.

This park has large lots, cement patio. Checkin was great. A little out of the way but very private. Great walking trails along water and in the wetlands, right next to campground. Great for walking pets. We camped at Finn Road Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Small, quiet campground in middle of farm land; our site backed onto a cornfield. Campground is neat & tidy with paved roads and cement pads for each site. Can't beat price of $23/night, incl tax, for full hook-up; also no reservation fee. Phone reception & free internet worked great. Had over a dozen tv stations with our antenna. Some seasonal sites but all had modern large units and were well kept. Not much for children to do although there is a small playground & horse shoe pits for older children. Public boat launch adjacent to campground parking lot. Nice paved trail from boat launch leading out to the bay. There's also a Nature Trail Walkway, about 2 miles long that starts at the campground and leads out towards Bay City. Sadly, you cannot see the bay from either trail due to thick high plants/weeds that grow about 6' tall. We camped at Finn Road Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a township operated campground that's a bit off the beaten track, around 11 miles east of I75 and then, once you are east of Essexville, it is a few miles down a county road. On the map the campground appears to be on Saginaw Bay of Lake Huron, and it is very close to the bay. However, there's a large, dense wetlands area that makes the bay pretty much inaccessible except by boat via a canal cut through the wetlands. There are, though, a couple of nice walking areas, one along the canal that stops short of the bay and another 2-3 mile trail through the wetlands, reaching all the way back to town. The campground itself is situated between corn fields and the wetlands. This is a nicely done campground with paved roads and campsites. All campsites are level full hookup, 50 amp sites with adequate grassy yards providing plenty of elbow room. The water hookups are a bit strange. Four sites share a four hookup water spigot. In our case our water hookup was on the wrong side of the camper and fairly distant from it. I pieced a few spare hoses together to reach it, so no worries. However, I can imagine a person coming in and not having enough hose to reach. It would probably be wise to have some extra hose along. The campground has good WiFi and a heated bath house. I had good Verizon 4G and was able to get a satellite signal with no problem. A big Krogers and lots of other shopping is nearby. There are several seasonal residents at Finn Road and I can see why they like it. We camped at Finn Road Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

A nice quiet campground with full hookups and Wi-Fi . Wi-Fi was so so during our 3 day stay, could only access it at limited times. Sites here have concrete pads. There is a limited number of 50 amp sites. Electric and sewer are in the correct location. Water is shared by 4 sites, so extra hoses are needed. TV via batwing was very good, Verizon cell and broadband also very good. Overall a nice place to spend some time. We camped at Finn Road Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice CG, paved roads and sites. All utilities worked fine, good Verizon cell phone and hotspot and CG WiFi. Rooftop dish worked as trees did not interfere. Back in carefully, a little tight for longer rigs especially if neighbor site across the street has vehicle & RV in their site. We camped at Finn Road Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
