First off, there is no office, so the manager runs things out of his RV. The interior roads are gravel, with most of the sites being concrete, with a patio made from pavers, but there are some grass sites. We had reserved a site, by phone, several days before our arrival. When we go there, the site had been given to someone else. Told them we didn't really care, as long as they had a site for us, for a week. They said we could have site 48, and we were escorted to the site. After getting backed in and leveled, the escorts made sure that we didn't need help getting connected, and explained where everything was at, and advised that they do pickup trash at the sites. While we were there, the manager came by twice and the owner once, to apologize for the mix-up in the reservations, and to make sure we were happy with the site. There is no wi-fi, but our AT&T hotspots worked well, as did our cell service. Satellite TV worked well, which was good, as our signal finding OTA antenna quit working, and wouldn't find any signals. I used the laundry room and found it and the machines very clean. We would stay here again. We camped at Frankfort Crystal Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

I camped with about 20 other people in our group. The trailer sites were concrete pads adjacent to a brick patio so we didn't need to stake out our outdoor rug. Full hookups and a wonderfully pleasant, cooperative staff made the weekend a great success. Yes, there's no pool or rec building but the park is beautifully maintained and is close to all of the sightseeing you can handle. I will be returning. We camped at Frankfort Crystal Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

New development, I think second season, but super nice staff. Grounds clean, trees growing, paved sites, gravel roads, no pool, no cable, no real club house or office. Manager is working out of his motorhome parked next door to showers, rec room, etc., being completed. But minutes down the road from shopping, a quaint town, marina, harbor and friendly people. The site was formerly a vineyard, so it is flat. We camped at Frankfort Crystal Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The good: Location. It's minutes from downtown and great home base to explore the area. Huge sites. Looks like they spray the gravel roads to control dust. The owners are super nice and helpful. As stated previously, this is a new campground. They were tiling the showers when we were there and the bathrooms look like a work in progress. Given enough time and effort, this place will be a great campground. The bad: I would not call it a resort. There are no amenities except a bathroom and a few showers - no pool, no clubhouse, no cable, not even an office. You pull up and they greet you. The grass is very thin and weedy. Patios and tree bases are weedy. The little play area was in pieces with overgrown grass. There are only small trees and no mature ones.

We will definitely go back despite the negatives. We camped at Frankfort Crystal Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a must see. Visit Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive and the Dune Climb. The Arcadia scenic overlook named "Inspiration Point" is a short drive too. Tubing/Canoeing the Platt River is fun.

This is a relatively new park with very level concrete pads, reliable power and excellent water pressure. We stayed 5 nights while we explored northern Michigan. We would stay here again when we find ourselves in the area again. We camped at Frankfort Crystal Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Fairly new in development. Concrete pads w/patios. Very nice size camp sites, w/e/s all very accessible with good service. Lots of grass, but gravel road into the CG, well maintained. Host was very helpful and friendly. WIFI is good, antenna T.V. was okay. No camping club discounts offered at this time. Steve indicated the CG was too new to establish club relationship. The rate we paid was based on a 4 night stay. Frankfort MI is about 5 miles away with restaurants and touristy type stores, marina and Lake Michigan beach. The CG is functional basically for short term with lots of potential for long term if you are in the area for a lengthy stay. I would recommend this CG and would stay again. We camped at Frankfort Crystal Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Take some time to drive around Frankfort and see some of the big, old renovated houses. Lots of old houses, beautifully re-done.

Still a very new park. Will accommodate any size rig but all back-in spaces. Nice wide sites. Downside for me was lack of landscaping. A few new trees but that's it. Dogs weren't excited to be here. They are working around to add improvements but I don't know when it will be done. It is a great location to see this area and Frankfort is an appealing place to visit. We enjoyed golf at the local golf course. We camped at Frankfort Crystal Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice quiet campground with level clean sites! Entry roads are gravel, wide and easy! Sites are large cement pads, with attached brick patio pads. Staff was very helpful, the park is still in the development stage but has tremendous potential! We camped at Frankfort Crystal Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice new RV resort. Large level paved pads, good water pressure and sewer hookups. Fire rings and picnic tables are provided at each site. Wi-Fi worked well for the first part of our stay and then locked up. Access is by wide gravel roads that are well maintained. The resort is still in the construction stage, 50 or so sites are fully operational. About 100 more sites are planned as is a club house and swimming pool. There is a nice shower building with laundry facility. Lots to do in the Frankfort, Beulah, Benzonia area. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a short drive as are several good bike trails. This is a brand new park that is only partially open. Price reflects a $10 discount because they are not fully operational. Great level concrete pads with paver or textured patio areas and fire pits. Wiring is in for cable, but not yet operational. No Wi-Fi yet and access roads are still dirt. HOWEVER - the resort has huge potential. It is the only decent full hookup resort in the area, hence the high rating. Provided the owners follow through with the construction/landscaping and a pool, this will be a first class resort! We camped at Frankfort Crystal Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
