Found this campground when looking for places to stay on our vacation in Aug. 2016. Was the best find for a city owned campground that there was.

Nice people, sites, beach, walk and bike areas. Loved their fire pits. Had view of lake.

We live in Wi and would go back in a heart beat. Wish we lived closer vs. 6 hours away. Thanks Gladstone Bay Campground for a wonderful find. We camped at Gladstone Bay Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We spent 4 nights at this campground and just loved it. The sites are nice, a bit close together on the full service sites but even that was okay. Lake Michigan is directly in front of the campground so we could swim in the beach area of the campground. It's within walking or biking distance to town and to the marina which we loved. The bathrooms/showers were very nice. WiFi came in perfectly! No cable but even that was okay. Loved this place and highly recommend it :) We camped at Gladstone Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

Big rig friendly with level sites. Great place to ride bicycle on two mile broadwalk along water and to park. Park has free music on Thursday evenings. Beach behind campground. Showers were great with hot water and pressure. No dog park but lots of places to walk dog. No laundry facilities nor pool. We camped at Gladstone Bay Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We debated about driving this far from Racine, but we are really glad we did. Access road is paved as are the interior roads. The pads are gravel, with some grass at the ends of the drive through sites. Beautiful tent sites. Walking/bike trail runs along front of the campground and along the lake. Some trees, but still could get satellite service without a problem. Good utilities. Lots of open areas with beautiful trimmed grass. Couple of sandy beaches leading out into the lake. Clean. This is a gem. Never saw the camp host. Note, do not take site 21 if you are a motorhome or a long 5er. The problem is a light pole at the entry to the site. Other drive thru sites seem to be okay. Some comments complain about getting to the park thru a residential area. From the south, take a right on Lakeshore Drive and follow it to the end, where it turns north and becomes 9th street. Go up the road to Michigan ave, and take a right on Michigan. Keep going and you will drive thru the gate. Simple access. There is a map posted by the rest rooms. Find your site and get settled. Check out is at noon. This place is a real treat. We camped at Gladstone Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful campground on the shore of a bay off Lake Michigan. Pull-through sites are long and level. We've been here before and loved it. People are nice. Showers are large and clean. We took a nice walk along the paved trail along the bay and caught up on our reading. If you like to watch tv though, you'd better have a satellite dish because they don't have cable and there are only a couple of over-the-air channels. We camped at Gladstone Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a busy campground and stays pretty full. If you can, call ahead for reservations to maximize your chances of getting a site for the number of days you want without having to move. Views of the Bay are good and access to streets and trails is excellent. Our stay would have been better if the campground host would enforce the "quiet hours" rule--our neighbors the first night had a smoky campfire with almost 20 noisy people around it until after 3 a.m., in spite of the 11 p.m. quiet hour. Campers are also bad about cutting through your site-several almost hit their heads on our windows because they were passing so close by. After the first night things got better because we moved to a different site. We camped at Gladstone Bay Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The campground has a variety of camping setups ranging from grassy tent sites to electric only, grassy RV sites to full hookup, 50 amp gravel pull through sites. The tent and grassy RV sites are generally larger. The pull through sites are crammed in to the point that your neighbor's awning will come within a couple of feet of your camper. The campground boasts modern restrooms and private showers, all kept quite clean. There's decent WiFi throughout the property, however during the busy weekend it slowed considerably under the heavy load. One of the nicest features is a wonderful boardwalk and paved trail that runs along the bay. We enjoyed several walks along it and then out into the neighborhood. There are huge fire pits at each campsite and some folks built large, almost bonfires. Depending on the wind direction the smoke was objectionable at times. My Verizon 4G was good and I was able to get satellite TV with little problem. This is a popular summer place so I recommend you make reservations if you plan on staying over a weekend. On future visits I think I'd pick either one of the end spots, giving us a bit of room out the front door, or maybe one of the electric only grassy spots which are much roomier. Not only would a grassy spot give us some elbow room, but since they offer only partial hookups, they cost a bit less too! We camped at Gladstone Bay Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for two nights on an August weekend and the park was full, mostly with family groups, but it was very orderly and quiet. Many of the sites are pull-throughs and the spacing is a bit tight, but we had lots of space in front of and behind us, so it didn't seem too restrictive. Our water spigot was leaking and a maintenance man came right over to make it right. This park is city run and nicely priced for full hookups. We would come here again if in the area. We camped at Gladstone Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

Great RV park in a great location. Fair amount of shade and always a great breeze coming off Lake Michigan/Green Bay. Sites are smallish (narrow) but adequate. Hookups in good location and water, electric, and wifi was good. There is no cable even though the website and their own brochures still state there is. RV park roads are easy to navigate and are paved, site pads are gravel. Great views of the bay. Park is on east end of Gladstone and you have to travel down residential streets to get to it. Tips for other Campers:

Irish Oaks Golf course less is than 3 miles from RV Park, and is a nice 18 hole course with reasonable rates. Gladstone is only about 5 miles from Escanaba, which is a nice city with all the big city shopping and eating opportunities you may like.

When going to a hotel, you show up and get the best room available...usually. Now, we show up at this campground and, even though we were there before anyone else, we did not get the preferred site facing the lake. Why? Because our reservation came in after theirs. I realize why some parks have to do this but it's exasperating to see a site go empty for a few days that I could've had.
Having said all that, this place had very, very clean bathrooms and the location to the lake and parks nearby are great.
The sites were rather close and LOTS of children all over the place...after all, it's a campground, not an RV park. We camped at Gladstone Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

Clean, big site, good cell (Verizon), decent Wi-Fi (even at farthest site from tower). Did not test the cable TV. Our site was #15 at end near a refinery(?). Was pretty noisy but since it was chilly at night, closed windows and noise not bad. Good ice cream nearby - Sweet Tooth - very inexpensive and good, intersection of Delta and 8th Ave. Staff very friendly and helpful. Gravel pad, very level, plenty of grass. We camped at Gladstone Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here during state fair week. We were in an area of the campground that only had electric & cable. We couldn't get the cable to work. Sites were grassy with some soft spots. Navigating the roads with a large rv was challenging but doable. We would definitely stay here again We camped at Gladstone Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

First the essentials. Sites are wide so you aren't elbow-to-elbow with your neighbors. Some turns are narrow, but we made it with our 36' motorhome towing a Ford Escape. Bathrooms and showers are best I've ever seen. Modern, all tile, clean. Showers are very private with large dressing area with bench. Wi-Fi is great. Now for my opinion: I love this park. We only stayed a few days, but I would like to come back and stay for a month. People are friendly. Park is well-kept. They have bikes that you can borrow. They only ask that you sign them out at the office and sign back in when you return. The view of the bay is beautiful, and there's a boardwalk through the woods. We camped at Gladstone Bay Campground in a Motorhome.
