4 Parks near Holly, Michigan
Jul 2015 - $42.00
This campground nowhere fits what I would deem to meet the criteria worthy of being called a KOA affiliate.
When I checked in I was not informed that the water for the bathhouses and laundry were not available due to the Dept of Health shutting them down. I did some research on reviews and found that the water had been shut off due to E Coli a month prior. Had this been disclosed, we would have gone somewhere else. I only discovered this when I went to do laundry. We were extremely nervous to drink the water or use the pool as a result. The main reason we chose KOA as we travel full time in the summer is to use laundry and bathhouse facilities.
The WiFi was not working at all- Not spotty, non-existent.
The sites were not only "un-level", they had HILLS in the center of the pull through which made it impossible to level. (Due to the water issue, many of the sites were not available).
The grass was covered in ragweed and there were piles of garbage in the vacant fire rings. The picnic table was falling apart.
I have never felt the need to research a KOA prior to stay, because they have consistently been acceptable. Some better than others, but certainly not a Dump like this place. I know better now to do some homework on all campgrounds now. Oddly, I did not get an email to review this campground like I have for others. This was the worst of any campground I've ever been to. - OurRVLife
Jun 2015 - $53.00
We can't recommend this CG to anyone. The interior roads are dirt, rutted & rough at best. The site assigned was barely long enough for our trailer but not the TV. We came with a reservation for full hookup pull thru for a 59' rig, but were assigned a site w/0 sewer and the water on the front right of the trailer. Not a place we'll stay again nor recommend to anyone! A Walmart parking lot would be better than tthis place. - mikey4813
May 2015 - $35.00
Although this is a nice park with wide spaces, green, and kept, we checked in with almost no one here in May and they gave us the WORST spot! It was not level and we had to use a step ladder to get up to our bottom step after we leveled. You cannot count on their Wi-Fi: although it showed that we had it, it would not connect. When we notified the office of this issue, we were told that they would check with "someone" and see what they could do. We never heard from them again. Will not stay again. - Roadfluff
Aug 2015 - $40.00
There was significant road noise during the day from our site (#81). However, at night it was quiet. There is an abundance of amenities at this park including play areas, hiking trails (paved), paddle boats, vending machine, a restaurant and geocaches! - Summer Minnesotan
Jun 2014 - $40.00
Excellent campground, sites are large, very pet friendly as they even have police horses walking around. Most sites are first come first serve, we went 3 weeks before a big holiday and rented a site for 1 month so we knew we had the site for the holiday. No full hook up sites and no camp store are the only downfalls or I would have rated it a 10. Showers you have to pay to use ($.25/5 minutes). - Jayco2014
Jun 2014 - $34.00
We were disappointed in this campground. The only sites with trees were on the edge of the property or the group spots. Also, there was a large road nearby with truck noise. It truly feels like we are in a parking lot. I'm sure the amenities are nice, but my husband and I wanted to "get away" for the weekend. Instead it feels as if we are more in the middle of a city. We will be leaving early. - officedog
Oct 2015 - $25.00
We stayed here for halloween camping. It was a fun time, people go all out for halloween camping at this park It is a nice, quiet, clean park. good electrical, and our site was pretty level and good size. Never felt crowded there. The only drawback is that there are no water hookups. Theres a spigot near but, I had to make sure my camper was full before I left home. Park rangers were friendly and helpful. It was an enjoyable experience. - Greaseman93
Jul 2014 - $22.00
We came to this park three years in a row for popup portal rally. 2014 was big year of changes. The park blacktopped 90% of the roads and leveled 90% of lots! It's best accomplishment was all new shower/bath houses. We pay more now but it shows they using the fees wisely. We will be back in 2015. Also they added more handicapped camp spaces too. - rodoloman
Jun 2011 - $21.00
There are four loops so you can decided if you want to be in mostly full sun (Maple Loop), part sun/shade (Oak Loop), or heavily wooded (Hickory and Trillium Loops). I was in Maple Loop and loved it. Had heavy greenery all around, but clear enough skies for satellite TV from rooftop of the motorhome. Lots of elbow room between sites. Heron Lake and the beach down the road is great with boat rentals, little store, etc. Would definitely return here! - Journeyer
May 2007 - $42.00
To stay here, loving children is a must! This CG is geared around the kids with activities available around the clock and impressive play structures. Most sites were grassy, shaded, and level. Be prepared to pay extra for the activities - the outdoor pool (heated by God) is free though! There is only one dump station so it may be a good idea to take them up on their Honey wagon service for $5. I rated the park at a seven because I felt for the price we paid we should have received more (sewer/cable/wireless/etc) and could use a bit of modernizing/fixing up. - mister_d
Aug 2005 - $38.00
This is a family campground with very few seasonals (I saw less than 10). They have lots of activities for kids all day long; however, some cost extra (2-5 dollars each child) so be prepared. They have two bathroom facilities, both are relatively clean however the one by the pool gets far more use but does not appear to get more cleaning so it was always the dirtier of the two. Sites are large with plenty of shade. The kids had a blast here. - martydtw
May 2005 - $38.00
This campground is geared for the family. Having 3 young children, many activities were provided to keep them entertained. The sites are fairly well-sized (some are smaller than others) and the staff is always available and courteous. Unfortunately, there is no full hook-up but a honey wagon service is available. The park is very clean and the facilities appear to be well taken care of. - gmprill
