This is very much a Campground, reminding us of State campgrounds, but with amenities. Sites themselves were spacious; roads were tight but entirely navigable. The couple who own and run the park were amazing! They both worked very hard to get us checked in then escorted to our site. The park was super clean. Trash was emptied constantly, restrooms were spotless, and grounds attended to. The pool was was clean and deck furniture in great condition. Utilities were fine. We had no electrical issues and water pressure was good, less than some parks-better than others. Due to scheduling conflicts, we had to adjust our reservations a number of times. Each time the owners were very accommodating. We camped at Indian River RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Clean , well maintained campground. This park is large but has a real family feel . It is very close to some spectacular small towns and lakes with lots to do . While there we had an electrical problem that shut us down. The owner ordered the part for me and installed it for a very reasonable price . The owners are onsite and go out of their way to help make your stay memorable . Great place in beautiful country . We camped at Indian River RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Campground was clean and orderly but sites were very small and cramped. Nighty rate was low but they charge extra for more than two people on the site and for using the air conditioning. They had pontoon rentals which I didn't use, and a dog walk, bike path through the woods. The camp office is also not always staffed, we stopped in to ask a question and no one was around. We camped at Indian River RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

$41 a night for full hookups. Pay for 6 nights, got 7th night free. Sites were pull thru with two facing each other. Sites were a little tight. Pool was very nice. Many people had boats, and many of the sites are seasonal campers. We camped at Indian River RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at the campground last year with Michigan Snowmobile Assn. and the club decided to come back the 2nd year...we love everything about this resort/campground. Starting from the moment we enter the resort, we notice the care given to keeping it beautiful and clean. The owners really care about the campers and have a huge amount of pride when it comes to their resort. They are happiest when the campers are happy. We had a major electrical issue and it was fixed right there by the owner and his employee who both spent an entire day coming out to our site to work on the issue. By evening, we had electricity AND were able to put on the A/C which was great, since it was hot and humid. We WILL recommend this resort/campground to everyone AND we WILL be back again. Pay cash for the best price on your site. This park is a shining example of people who really know what it takes to show campers a great time. Thanks, folks. We camped at Indian River RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The town of Indian River is within 10 minutes to the south with ample groceries, places to eat and place to shop. Cheboygan is about 20 minutes to the north with more places to shop, dine and explore. Great location in upper lower peninsula.

Arrived the night before the park was closing for the season. We were having RV problems and the owners kindly allowed us to stay an extra night. They were very understanding and friendly.

The park grounds appeared well maintained, didn't use any of the facilities. We had no problem maneuvering our 40 ft RV through the park. We camped at Indian River RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

We were on site #84 and it was very sandy with gravel drive through. The significant slope required us to use additional mats for leveling. We had excellent shade with well trimmed trees yet we were able to get satellite TV from our unit. There was excellent WiFi, power, water, fire rings, and sewer connections. However, the site was very tight with the unit next to us less than 5 feet away. We will return to this park. We camped at Indian River RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is one of very few parks that I have given a 10 rating. This is a large park with large, open parking for large RVs as well as cabins, tent sites, and other sites for smaller RVs. Excellent wifi, power, water, fire rings, sewer connections. Beautiful trees and well kept grounds and roads. The owners were very helpful and wanted you to have a good experience at the park. Lots of seasonal campers but there is room for the RVers who are just passing thru. We camped at Indian River RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed a month and the cost was $650 + elec. The park is kept super clean and well managed. We were parked on sandy soil. Ant homes were everywhere but we did not get an infestation, though we did see some strays in the coach. The bathrooms were spotless and featured touchless fixtures. The electric service at our site was faultless. We had no incidence of low or high voltage during our stay. The owners are retired military and nothing is left un-done. We even saw park staff cleaning the picknic tables and the site # post. We would prefer lawn mowers to be operated at lower rpms around RVs. A great place to stay. Rate reflects the "super sites." An excellent, excellent campground. Highly recommended. Owners are extremely friendly, every unit checking in gets a personal escort to their site. All streets are paved (a little tight, but never posed a problem with our rig.) Nice balance of shade and sun. We camped at Indian River RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is a nicely-updated park which is well-kept and very clean. The staff was helpful and ever-present. There were just a few drawbacks. Getting a warm shower was a challenge. I don't know what the problem was, but since you cannot control the temperature on the showers, you get whatever water temperature comes out of the shower head. Five out of our 8 showers were way too chilly! The pool is nice and they say it's heated, but it was also cold (around 75 degrees) and full of bugs. The campground does have a wooded walking trail in it and plenty of shade trees. Perhaps that's partly the reason that we only got 2 channels with our antenna. We camped at Indian River RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This park is well maintained. We held a 7-day Cedar Creek Rally here and the owners bent over backwards to accommodate us. We can't think of a single thing to complain about this park. We would go back again and again and again. Big rig friendly. We even had use of one of the tent lots behind us to put up a screen room for our picnic tables at no charge. If you want a nice park to stay in, THIS IS IT. We camped at Indian River RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We've camped here for the past three years, with this season being on a seasonal site. We've reserved it again for next year. The owners are always on site during the season and constantly working around the grounds. This season, they've installed free Wi-Fi for the entire campground, instead of just at the office. The grounds are kept clean and attractive. It is an excellent location to base your visits to northern Michigan's sights. We camped at Indian River RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Overall, this is a nice family campground. The sites are very close together, but the worst part is the location of the water, sewer and electric hook-ups. When we first arrived, our site was just plain bad. The water and electric hook up from the neighbors trailer was so close that I couldn't open my storage door. The sewer hose was only about 8 feet from our fire ring. The staff was good about letting us change sites the next day when the neighbors moved. Once we changed it was OK. Seemed like there was a lot for the kids to do. They pick up the trash bags at your site (nice touch). The restrooms and showers were average and clean. It seemed pretty expensive: paid $45 for the site and then another $10 per night for our 2 children that were 18. For $55 a night, I would expect Wi-Fi and much bigger sites. We camped at Indian River RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
