Sites were sooooo spacious....neighbors were very far away. The best sites with shade were only 30Amp. 50Amps sites were out in the open. Not bad, but no trees or shade. Person who checked me in took me out, on foot, to my site to make sure I was happy with it. Quiet at night. Nice place. We'd return. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Make sure you go to Lawry's for a Pasty. Go down to Marquette and jump in Lake Superior.

Very spacious campground. The sites are spaced nice, not on top of each other. Only draw back is TV, reception over the air is limited and no cable. They are in the process of putting cable in but have not made it to our site yet. Had electric , water, and sewer. We were in the back where there is some trees but did not interfere with backing in the motorhome. Park is very peaceful at night. We stayed for 2 nights, 1 night PA $20.00 and second night $40.00. Good location and all paved interior roads. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure and visit Da Yooper museum across the street.

The campground is tucked behind a row of stores and services that provide all basic needs within a walk, bike ride or short drive.

Positives: asphalt roads (mostly); wi-fi is okay since it was up and down during my stay; not a lot of long term campers.
Negatives: Most sites are not level.

My site: Most sites are wide with a gravel red dirt pad and a grassy area. My site was one of the odd ones with mostly dirt and it faced my neighbors. The sewer connection was high which required me to monitor the hose when draining waste.
I would chose a different CG if I ever return to the area. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at this campground for two nights on our way to Copper Harbor, MI. It was pretty disappointing that the pool was out of service but it was because no fault of theirs (closed because of health dept regulations- think Caddyshack). They instead offered wristbands to swim at the motel pool next door. Not the same as an outdoor pool but I'm not lowering my rating for that. The staff was very friendly. The campground main loops were blacktop. Lots were packed red gravel with grass and spacious. The campground is very wide open with almost no trees. This is primarily a motor coach spot and there weren't many families, at least not that we could see. The playground is a little lacking for families but no biggie. Everything was as expected or greater for our visit. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

They were very close to many shopping and food options; when I say close I mean within walking distance of a Shopko, Ace Hardware, a movie theater and a restaurant or two.

Agree with previous reviews. Rate is average for 3 nights on FHU pull-through site, for one night PA and 2 nights GS. We saved $30 over published daily rate.
This is a very nice and well-kept campground. Sites are mostly open and sunny. There are no concrete pads, only grass but we had no problem with this. Several sites in rear of campground back-up to woods and are shady. There should be no problem with satellite reception on most sites. The campground has a very nice swimming pools with picnic pavilion next to it. We stayed here last year and will stay again when in the area. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The "Yoopers Tourist Trap" is very unique and interesting. Ishpeming is home to Skiers Hall of Fame and Iron Mine Museum.

They will "double discount" - taking PA for one night & GS on the other nights (unusual). Nice folks. They also try and spread folks out, not parking guests next to each other when then don't have to, which makes it nice. Large open field, and like all of Michigan, level grass sites with gravel roads. Very unusual entrance, in that it's behind a "mall" of sorts, a little confusing, so throws you off at first, but it's quiet back here and convenient to gas and stores. They had TV for the first two days, but lost it due to Cable changes, so don't know if they will again. Good WiFi tho. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

The price cited is the Passport America rate. This is a really a nice, well run campground. The manager and all of the workers are extremely friendly and helpful. The interior roads are paved and all of the sites are on packed dirt and gravel. There is mixture of full hookups, water/electric, and dry camping. Some sites have 50 amp and some have 30 amp electrical service. The voltage was strong, hovering around 123. Most of the sites are back-ins but there are a few pull-throughs available. Most of the utilities and water spigots are way in the back. I needed a 35 foot hose to reach the water spigot. It really depends upon which site you get. There are 4 very clean showers for each sex. The bathrooms are also spotless. Our Verizon air card was very spotty. The campground's Wi-Fi worked a little better but it depends upon the weather. Verizon cell phone worked well. There were a lot of ant hills on the sites but I would image that it is very difficult to keep the chemicals from washing away since it rains a lot. The heated pool and spa was very clean. We would definitely come back here again if we were in the area. Our rig is 32' long. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice campground with wide streets and large gravel/grass pads. There were some small trees sprinkled throughout, but none on our site, so we had no satellite issues. The streets are easily navigated to your site. We did not use any facilities. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Large, open grassy sites, with young trees scattered throughout. A very nice place to spend some time. Too bad we only had 2 nights there. Friendly. Clean. Their Internet is secure and like being home. Cable TV is great; especially when you’ve been without TV for several days. Crystal clear heated pool. I highly recommend this park. We would camp here again. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Absolutely one of the nicest, cleanest, most friendly RV parks we ever stayed at. Wish I had put us here more days. Lots of things to do in area. Good bicycling. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV park is in town limits within walking distance to shopping and a few restaurants. Not the most well-maintained place we have stayed, but the pool and hot-tub were clean and nice. Staff somewhat indifferent and we weren't allowed to choose our site even though there were many available. They did allow a discounted rate; however, with one of our memberships. Interesting things in the area to see. Definitely an "RV Park" feel. Don't know that we would stay here again, but it worked out OK for the time we were here. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

First time stay at park - looked last year, but not exactly what we expected. This year grass has grown and park looks better. Sites are mostly gravel and basically level. We stayed during rainy weather so lots of dirt tracked into RV. Stayed here because it appears to be the only (big rig) park in the area. Overall, a decent park with helpful staff and relatively close to Marquette. Six rating was because of WI-FI - asked to be close to office because we had bills to pay and needed a good connection - poor at best. May stay again if in area. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a large park, with easy access. It's clean, and neatly groomed. The office staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of places to walk the dogs safely. The laundry room was spotless, though we didn't use the showers or washrooms, I assume they were clean and well maintained....like the rest of the facilities. We used it as our base to tour the Marquette area. We would camp here again. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice clean park, stayed for 3 nights. Sites are roomy, fairly level and grass/gravel type of base. All utilities, cable and Wi-Fi worked very well. Close to markets, restaurants (pub/brewery close by) and laundromat. We did not use their laundry facilities as they were busy. Kid friendly with a play park and swimming pool. Hosts were very nice and willingly provided tips and answers to our questions. Easy access in and out of the park, big rig friendly. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
