50 amp, W&E back in site. No escort to site this year. Easy in/out and all the roads are in great condition. Several OTA TV signals available but the WIFI this year was dead and all we got were excuses about it. It never came back up. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is the city of Ishpeming, behind a collection of shopping malls and stores, next to a major RV dealer. That means convenience (groceries, fast-food and restaurant, gas, hardware and supplies within walking distance) but without the charm of forest/lakes sites found in other UP CGs -although sites 23 through 43 at least back up against woods. However, we picked it for: a) location - right in the middle of the UP and near the biggest UP town (Marquette) and b) the other reviewers indicated it had the major basics we want in a CG: 1) Level sites, although mostly grass/dirt 2) adequate site space and ease of maneuvering/parking, 3) good utilities including FHUs, 4) clean toilets and showers, 5) well-maintained CG with good/supportive site management. They were right on all counts, this is a first-rate park. If they could just move it to the side of some lake it would be a 10. So your choice may depend on your criteria. Other lessor features (to us at least) included Pool, Playground, BB&Horseshoe courts, DogWalk, decent onsite Laundry. Downsides -only 2 found - were: 1) lack of Cable TV, although we had 11 OTA including ABC, FOX, PBS, CW, ME, and 2) Wi-Fi so weak and slow it was useless at our corner site (went to office whenever needed access as it's OK there). We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

You absolutely must visit "Da Yoopers Museum and Tourist Trap" about 2 miles west (see the giant chainsaw and rifle on the road). It's a real hoot. And visit Lacknenland Sculpture park on US41 south of Marquette for another great (and free) dose of the strange sense of humor these UP'ers (Yoopers) have. Also Presque Island Park on north side of Marquette (up the road from the Ore Boat Dock) is a great drive.

A convenient place to stay when transiting Michigan's UP. Enter the Country Lane address into your GPS in order to make the correct turn off US-41. Rate has increased since our last visit, no on-line reservations and none of the usual discounts for Good Sam, etc. Sites are mainly back-in, some of the earlier long pull throughs appear to have been repurposed. Spacing is fine and the systems all work (except the internet!). Good sky access for our satellite dish. The ground was soft, our coach's tires and jacks left indentations in the gravel and dirt pad ... could be a problem in really sloppy weather. Overall, it was fine for an overnight or even a few days ... would stop here again. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed for one night on our way to Tahquamenon falls. The sites have a lot of grass and are fairly open with little shade. Every site has a picnic table and fire pit. There is a small laundry room with 2 washing machines and 2 dryers but there is a new laundromat a block away. The washrooms are modern and clean and the showers are spacious, and moderately clean with lots of water pressure. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again. Ended up here after finding out on the day we were to arrive that our original destination was still under construction. Country Village is a very nice park with easy to navigate roads and sites. Some sites are closer together than others. Our across-the-corner pull-through was spacious but the pad itself was hard to see when approaching it because it was more grass than dirt and gravel so we accidentally got off to the side in soft grass and needed 4WD to get out. Staff is friendly and helpful. Thought it was a little expensive for only water and 30 amp electric, but the utilities did work well. Wifi wasn't working for half our stay but once they got it fixed it was fine. Convenient location for seeing Marquette and surrounding area. About an hour from Munising and the Pictured Rocks Cruise. Hilltop RV is next door which is handy for service and parts needs. Entrance road is between Wells Fargo Bank and the now-closed BP station. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Eat at Mama Mia's Italian Restaurant in Ishpeming. Doesn't look like much on the outside but it's very nice inside and the food is excellent. Portions were so big we had enough for next day's dinner.

This is a great big flat park with huge grassy sites. They have a very nice pool and hot tub. You can easily walk to a Shopko, hardware store, the bank, a restaurant/brewery, McDonalds and an RV service & store is next door. We were in site 76 which was a pull thru on the end with more room than we've ever had in any park. The downside to the site was that it is right next to the office, showers, laundry and playground and everyone tended to walk through our site. Not a huge deal but it drove our dogs crazy. They aren't barkers but it made them a nervous wreck. We would definitely stay here again but next time I would request a site further away from the office. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice little park in Michigan's UP, well maintained and manicured lawns. We only stayed one night passing through west bound -- the staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Good laundry facility. We would definitely stop here again. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

First Impression: Seriously spacious sites. Attractive presentation. Safety: no concerns. Access: US-41 in Ishpeming, MI to Country Lane, turn north. Municipal roads in good condition. Old sign on south side of US-41 hard to see; turn between McDonalds and Hilltop RV, past the mini-mall. GPS took us right in. Office: Friendly staff, token store with a few frozen snacks, a few RV equipment items, and numerous trinkets and toys for the kids. Credit cards accepted. Must call for reservations. Good Sam discounts. Facilities: Pool, kid pool, spa, no fitness room or rec center. Small, clean laundry room. Modern, sufficiently clean showers, private changing area w/door, hot water with great pressure (score "A"). No propane sales. Nice playground. No off-leash dog run. Campground: Not in a flood plain. Roads are wide, asphalt in excellent condition with gentle turns and no overhead obstacles. Big rig, very friendly. Prevosts won't have problems. Numerous tent areas, no yurts, a few cabins. Sites are all very spacious, pull-through or angled back-in, grass/dirt surface, level. Electric and water at mid-rig with FHU-20/30 (ask for 50A); no meters. Strong water pressure with good taste. Sewer pipe is at rear of rig, 4" threaded, about 2" above ground level. No patios. Good picnic tables. Fire rings; wood for sale at office. Good satellite views. No cable TV. OTA TV found channels. Free Wi-Fi but very unstable; always dropping access. Verizon phone at 4 bars; 4G at 2-3 bars. Nearby railroad rarely used, no whistles. No aircraft noise; minimal local traffic noise. No recycle bins. Bug Report (mid June): small red ant mounds - everywhere. I sprayed and sprinkled (ant "food"). Few biting flies. Runners: CG roads good for running, no fitness room so no treadmills. Yoga: Low cut grass good for your mat but watch for ants. Conclusion: A few amenities doesn't justify their daily cost. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly, helpful staff, escort to site. 50 amp, W&E pull through site convenient to Hwy 41. WIFI very good, approx. 11 OTA TV stations available. Park is very nicely maintained and cheery. Plenty of room between sites. Very good overnight stop for us but looks like it would be a good destination as well. Park has many amenities available (pool, hot tub... etc.) but since this was a short overnight stop we did not use them all. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a lovely large RV park situated behind a strip mall with movie theater, brew pub and a motel. Sites are large and spacious and lots of green grass. Utilities all worked great. Easy access. Absolutely nothing negative. Very busy - reservations recommended during the summer peak season - especially weekends. Rate is average of PA for one night and GS for the second night. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites were sooooo spacious....neighbors were very far away. The best sites with shade were only 30Amp. 50Amps sites were out in the open. Not bad, but no trees or shade. Person who checked me in took me out, on foot, to my site to make sure I was happy with it. Quiet at night. Nice place. We'd return. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very spacious campground. The sites are spaced nice, not on top of each other. Only draw back is TV, reception over the air is limited and no cable. They are in the process of putting cable in but have not made it to our site yet. Had electric , water, and sewer. We were in the back where there is some trees but did not interfere with backing in the motorhome. Park is very peaceful at night. We stayed for 2 nights, 1 night PA $20.00 and second night $40.00. Good location and all paved interior roads. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

The campground is tucked behind a row of stores and services that provide all basic needs within a walk, bike ride or short drive.

Positives: asphalt roads (mostly); wi-fi is okay since it was up and down during my stay; not a lot of long term campers.
Negatives: Most sites are not level.

My site: Most sites are wide with a gravel red dirt pad and a grassy area. My site was one of the odd ones with mostly dirt and it faced my neighbors. The sewer connection was high which required me to monitor the hose when draining waste.
I would chose a different CG if I ever return to the area. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at this campground for two nights on our way to Copper Harbor, MI. It was pretty disappointing that the pool was out of service but it was because no fault of theirs (closed because of health dept regulations- think Caddyshack). They instead offered wristbands to swim at the motel pool next door. Not the same as an outdoor pool but I'm not lowering my rating for that. The staff was very friendly. The campground main loops were blacktop. Lots were packed red gravel with grass and spacious. The campground is very wide open with almost no trees. This is primarily a motor coach spot and there weren't many families, at least not that we could see. The playground is a little lacking for families but no biggie. Everything was as expected or greater for our visit. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
