Overall Rating:

Price reflects one month stay. No extra cost for electric. Was only going to stay a week but because of a medical issue stayed longer. Be sure to keep your speed no higher then 5 mph. Gravel interior roads and sites. Side by side sites, share water, the pedestal, one gets 30 amp the other 50 amp. Very tight if you have a neighbor. Electric, water pressure and sewer was excellent. Twenty channels on the TV antenna. Internet was excellent. No campfire rings at sites, is a community campfire was used one evening during our stay. Was nice to have the windows open except the evening of the campfire. Quiet other then a road noise and neighbor's dog barking. Did hear a train horn when we had the windows open. Easy in and out with a 60 foot combo. We camped at Water Tower RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Has a hiking/biking trail right at the campground. Has a nice loop trail. Can use other parts of the trail and you can walk almost all the way to Wal-Mart. Post office is within a mile walking distance from the park. Urgent Care 1.7 miles away. Lapeer Dentist has a emergency set up. Don't have to wait more than 24 hours to get in.

Very nice park. It has a nice trail around a lake with cattails, wildflowers plus a variety and abundance of birds. The restrooms were very clean. The managers were very nice. Easy access to city. Easy in and out, plenty of room for tow vehicle. We camped at Water Tower RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

For what you get, $28 a night is a bit expensive. Right off a main road, so there is some road noise, but traffic dies way down at night. Close to a hospital so an occasional life flight may fly over. One that happened during my stay did not wake me. Gravel throughout with a tree at almost every site. Easy in, easy out and level! Sites face each other. With 2 RVs facing each other, there is VERY little room between sites, so close awnings may overlap. If there is not an RV on your neighboring site, you'll have a lot of room. Some sites have a picnic table. There is a community fire pit. Antenna picked up several channels. Satellite should work well. Water pressure was over 40 psi. Speed limit is 5 mph. It is a bit too slow for an adult oriented park, but it would keep the dust down during dry spells. Town park with walking/biking path and lake fishing is next door. RV washing and light maintenance (like tire rotation) is allowed. My coach and truck were too long to be on the same site, but parking for my truck was very convenient. Free WiFi worked VERY well. Easy bicycling distance to downtown Lapeer. If you want a place to stop that does not have a lot of kids running around, this is it. We camped at Water Tower RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Wife and I ate 3 meals at Woodchips BBQ in Lapeer. Great menu with a LOT of options, hence the 3 meals and never ate the same thing twice. The pulled pork platter was very filling. With 7 different sauces, there was enough meat to test each one. Mac and cheese was good. Home cut fries were good. Smores cheesecake was great.

Water Tower RV Park, 1552 N Main St (M-24), Lapeer, MI 48446 810-664-4296 www.ci.lapeer.mi.us $280.00 2 week stay June 14 to 27, 2016 Site 8 full hookups. Park is owned by the City of Lapeer and nice camp hosts live on site. We were instructed to pick any site that did not have an orange cone. There are several seasonals in the park with nice rvs. This site is in the front next to the highway. Lots of highway noise especially since the hospital is across the highway with ambulances coming and going. Sites are back to front really close together. We can put out our awning but that is all. The electrical post is for two rvs and it has one 50 amp and one 30 amp. There is one small tree at each site. All the park is gravel and very clean. Wifi has been slow but usable. No laundry in the park there is a nice Laundromat on Genesee Street close to Big Lots. The speed limit is 5 miles per hour and is enforced even though there is a long lane coming into the park. We camped at Water Tower RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a no frills park owned by the city. It is not particularly pretty, but for an overnight stay works perfectly. There was room for us to stay hooked up at the site (in a 36' motor home). The manager was very helpful and friendly. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Water Tower RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is very clean. All sites are pull-through with full hookups. There is some shade and sites are level. Park has free wifi with a strong signal. Walking trail from CG to Rowden Park with playground, tennis courts and paved nature trail. There are many golf courses in the area. We would stay here again. We camped at Water Tower RV Park in a Motorhome.

First of all, I would like to thank the previous reviewer for posting about this wonderful little park. We wouldn't have known about it otherwise, and were so glad to have found it. It is a tiny gem run by the city of LaPeer, and the managers are a very pleasant couple. The park sits adjacent to a beautiful city park with excellent walking trails through woods and lakes, and I do mean right through the lakes (on dikes built up in the water) --really fun! The park is also stocked with playground equipment and picnic tables. The RV park has very large, very clean bathrooms and showers, and free WiFi which is good. The $25 rate for FHU is very reasonable (no discounts offered). The only drawback may be its proximity to the highway, but it didn't bother us a bit. We felt safe and secure nestled under LaPeer's stalwart water tower. We camped at Water Tower RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Operated by the City of Lapeer, this park is located on the north side of town, across from the hospital, adjacent to the river and a nice park. It has plenty of room for larger rigs to maneuver and although small in # of sites has plenty of room for each site. There is a historic winery in town that is worth a visit. I posted this review because in checking this site, I did not see any other reviews posted for this park. It's a great option if in the area. Although we did not stay here this visit because we did not have our RV with us this trip, we WILL use this RV park when we return to the area in the RV. Note: the sign said open May-October BUT when we visited in mid-April, it was open and had sites occupied. GREAT winter weather this year. We camped at Water Tower RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
