Absolutely an RV "resort". Clean, manicured, well managed. Trash pickup. Immaculate pool. Friendly staff. Large well maintained playground. Large level concrete slab sites. Plenty of space to maneuver. Saturday morning pancake breakfast. Not much privacy between sites, but they're so spacious it doesn't really matter. Site was plenty long enough to accomodate my 31' travel trailer and Ford extended van, without being anywhere near the road. Rig is over 55'. If I had to find something critical, I guess the only thing would be the general store isn't a Walmart- but then, there's a Wally Mart across the street. Top notch operation. We camped at Vacation Station RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed on site #100. Beautiful campground and the owners are very nice. All the sites are concrete and level. Each site has a fire pit ring. They have a cute little store for necessitates. Very friendly staff. They pick up your trash at your site every morning if you put it out at the end of your site. Laundry room is nice, Wash 1.50, Dry 1.25. The flowers and trees are beautiful. Some seasonal units, but they are basically all together in one area and they are very well kept and beautiful. We camped here for a week in early June. Still a little chilly, but the park is beautiful. I would probably pick a different site next time. The back in sites have more room between you and the unit next door. We camped at Vacation Station RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This Vacation Station is a "resort" by no stretch of the imagination. Clean smooth and wide asphalt roads throughout the park with level/near level smooth concrete pads and patio area with picnic table and fire ring. I swear they use scissors to cut the beautiful lawn between sites. The shower/restroom and laundry area were both spacious as well as spotless. If you're into clean and quiet at what I believe to be a "fair" price you'll appreciate Vacation Station. I would rate this "resort" easily in the 9's. This was our third stay here in as many years. We like this place more every time we stay. Most of the sites are close together and are paved with little grass and few trees. However, everything is still very clean and very well maintained. My kids loved the pool and playground. It's consistent year to year. We definitely will be back. This is a nice campground. Not real big, has quite a few seasonal sites that I'm not sure if you rent or buy but very well kept and very nice people. We stayed in site 52. It's a back in with a woods in back and we were very happy with where we were. We were almost across the road for the very clean and well kept bathroom/showers. They have a nice pool with a patio that is shaded. The store was good and staff very friendly. It's very close to the town of Ludington and Walmart but it sits back so you don't see any of this. It's a very private campground. We would highly recommend. We paid $47.74 a night. A little pricey but we felt it was worth it. There is also a lake. Tips for other Campers:

Ludington is a great town. Ludington SP is beautiful, however we would not camp there. It was packed and the sites were very very close. But it has great trails for hiking. Vacation Station is not that far away. Also the USS Badger is great to watch go out and come in.

Mom and dad and the kids, or grandma and grandpa and the kids and grandkids, all very close to us, with the kids making more noise than a rugby stadium. Campfires smoking us out, and the TRAIN! 3 motorhomes in the entire park, the rest trailers of relatives, some on concrete blocks for the summer. We wanted to take the ferry, but were afraid little Timmy or little Mary would set fire to the coach. We left as soon as we could. Don't stay here if you value your sleep and aren't a young parent or dotting grandparent. The name says it all - daycare for parents and their children. We stayed here last year (see my review below). We came back since it was available for a last minute trip. My impression has improved since last time since I knew what to expect. It is more geared toward seasonals than those looking to be in nature. If you expect a well manicured, largely paved campground, then you should enjoy your time. The street lights and excessive concrete still bother me. They don't make it feel like camping. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Wi-Fi is only good near the office. Otherwise, we had a good time. We camped at Vacation Station RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

I didn't like this park. I felt like I was camping in my driveway. We had a long, narrow site that was almost entirely concrete. We had some token strips of grass around the concrete. There are street lights that lit up everything. You are required to turn off awning lights at 1 AM. However, these street lights drowned out my awning lights. So, I don't see the point. The grass in about a 1/3 of the park was dead too. Wi-Fi is so slow we gave up on it. Cable TV is just 4:3 standard def. Otherwise, the park was very clean, mostly quiet, and well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We probably won't go back. We camped at Vacation Station RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We discovered this place by accident four years ago and have been coming back ever since. We have small kids so we loved that our kids can ride bikes on the nice paved roads as well as play volleyball, go swimming, and even enjoy the hot tub. The staff is always friendly and helpful. In fact, I had a flat tire right when we were about to leave and one of the staff members took the time to take it off and take me to the tire shop in town. We will be back soon. This is a very nice campground with fairly wide streets and concrete pads. Some sites have concrete patios as well. There are small trees around the pads, but none caused satellite issues. We would consider staying here again if we are in the area. We camped at Vacation Station RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very clean and attractive park. Each site has a large concrete pad and patio. The staff and other campers were all very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and the area has many attractions. The only negatives were the Wi-Fi was weak most of the time and we had to go to the clubhouse area to use it. Also, though our site was a deep pull-through (the pad was approximately 60' by 18'), there was only about 6' of grass to the next site pad. Most sites, however, were wider. We will stay here again. Pros: campground clean. Cons: too much cement, not enough trees. We were in the row that had no trees, no shade, our front door literally 8' from next trailer. Walmart within walking distance on busy highway, lots of road noise. Had to be outside of rig for consistent Wi-Fi. There are 10 showers, one out of order, 2 never warm and baskets always overflowing with paper towels, stalls tiny and dark. If you like parking lot campgrounds, this place is for you. We left 4 days early, despite "NO refund if you leave early" policy - $200 free for them. They must have had a lot of people leaving early to have that policy. We couldn't see staying a whole week there, they pack you in like sardines. We would not go back. We camped at Vacation Station RV Resort in a Motorhome.

First, let me just say this is a very nice park. Almost..too nice! It's very clean and well kept. But, I felt like I was camping in a subdivision, not a campground. We wanted to be close to Ludington, where we spent most of our time. The firepit was too close to our awning so a campfire was out of the question. The staff is constantly riding through on the golf carts and you felt like you were being watched all the time; although that's how they run a "tight ship." The lawn maintenance lasted all day on Wednesday and into Thursday, so there was a constant sound of weed whipping and blowers for 2 days. Even when relaxing at the pool, I had grass blowing all over me. The park is nice with nice concrete pads, cable tv, full hook-ups, but it's not my idea of camping. We camped at Vacation Station RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall a great park. My two minor complains are at the end. Have read all previous reviews, and can confirm that lots are spacious with level, concrete pads, and clean, groomed, and well maintained grassy sites. Good area with lots to see and do. Very courteous, friendly, staff. One area of the park is primarily seasonal campers, and we were put in among them for our week's stay; all very friendly to us, contrary to the experience of some previous reviewers. Wi-Fi did not reach to this area well enough for connection, but was strong at the office. Now for the two things which struck me immediately, and I'm surprised no other reviewer mentioned them. The park is named Vacation Station and has a railroad theme because train tracks run along the entire southern edge of the park. In fact, the southernmost row of sites, all in the seasonal area, are literally no more than 10 yards or so off the tracks. Trains do pass by, but with surprisingly little noise. Second, most of the sites here are back-ins, and half of them are passenger side back-ins. The trailer must turn to the passenger's side. Apparently no one told whoever laid out the park that RVers far prefer driver side slots for back-ins due to better visibility while backing up for the driver. We camped at Vacation Station RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
