Lakefront sites have beautiful views of bridge and island. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Incredible sights to see. Great fudge shops. Boat cruises and tours

We stayed in the campground at the end of the season. They were still quite busy on the weekend. The sites seem to vary in width. Ours was narrow & backed right up to another spot. We did not use any of the amenities there, but they had a large swimming beach that looked very nice. There is a lot of grass along the lake front if you just want to relax & enjoy the view. The location is great if you want to go to Mackinac Island or Mackinac City. You can also cross the bridge & go to some of the places in the upper peninsula. We had good phone service & the internet was also pretty good, but again, the park was not full. We also took a day trip to Charlevoix & Petowsky from there. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.

Large, well organized park. Our site was long, wide, and level. Electric and water were fine and sewer hook up was in the right place. There is no cable TV and all but one broadcast channel came in fine. ABC came in but broke up a lot. They went cheap on WIFI by contracting with Tengointernet, so it was customarily slow and often interrupted even with my signal amplifier. All in all, not a bad experience. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The RV park owners also own a golf course about 5 miles away. You can get a discount card at the store or at the check in windows. Park is nice for biking and there is about a mile of lake front which is nice for watching the sunset, the bridge, and the ferry boats and freighters.

Stayed over the Labor Day weekend and it was filled to capacity. Still did not feel too crowded. Place was very clean. We stayed in a "Large FHU spot, #98, facing East in the 3-9 area. It was a double wide spot whereas the folks across the street on the West facing sites were half as wide. They still seemed to be OK with some large rigs in there. We were happy and made reservations for next year already. WifI was worthless, but almost always is in a campground. Cable would be nice. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

They offer discount tickets for the Star Line ferry at the office with free pick-up and drop off service, worth using. We drove through the KOA and it does not compare with Mill Creek, not by a long shot.

Staff-Awesome, Camp Store-Awesome, Fire Truck and Wagon Rides- Awesome. Park Cleanliness -Awesome. Completely booked 600 sites. All was quiet. Speed limit(5MPH) obeyed by all. Sites are close but we had quiet neighbors. 1 site had kids in a tent, parents in camper. SO well behaved just having fun. Wifi- extremely bad even if standing almost under transponder. Pool-Water not much warmer than the lake.

Dump Station -A JOKE. Rinse hose is cut so you can not wash tanks, sewer hose goes in STRAIGHT.. NOT DOWN like normal.. You can NOT have a elbow on it to go down like every other place we have been . You SHARE With someone on other side, same hole. If the other side is open and you put your hose in (STRAIGHT Because its the ONLY Way), YOUR SEWAGE SHOOTS STRAIGHT THRU to their area and pushes their hose out. All your sewage is now on their side. Glad our black tank was full of dish soap. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Go enjoy the town. So many things to do in the area.

Go to Mackinaw Island, Take a boat tour, go into the light house. Go on the Mackinaw Ship.

Too many things to list.

Good thing about this camp is SUPER CLOSE to town.

Go Parasailing.

This is a very large park bordering Lake Huron and 2 miles from Mackinaw City. Check-in was easy, but instructions to site were poor. The map only shows sections, not the individual sites. I did not see our site # written on the map in an odd place until after we passed by our site twice. We booked a Bridge View site, which has only 30 amp service. When I booked thesite, I always give the size of our motor home. I was told we were getting a 75'long x 30' wide site. The length was right, but the width was only 24' ( we measured it). It was extremely narrow, and the picnic table tucked way back on the site was useless, as with our slides out, we did not have enough room to sit there. There was one small spot to put it, but we would have been sitting right next to our neighbors sewer hookup. We had to park our tow car right in front of the rv which gave us a small spot to put ourchairs- next to the car. They have "shrubbery " in between each site (for privacy?) But it was unkempt and overgrown. It also blocked our view of the Bridge if we were inside our RV. The other negatives were: No cablehookup, weak Internet service, and NO laundry facilities! You must go into town for that, which was very nice btw. The nice thing about this park was just across the road from this section of sites, was a very well manicured grassy area that bordered the shore of the lake. There were large firepits all the way up and down, with nice benches, for all to use. Beautiful views of the lake and Mackinac Bridge! Park was pretty well maintained, nice campstore, dumpsters at the front of the park, easy to access. Beautiful cabins to rent, some of them were 2 stories! Again, this is a large park, and we found the getting around to the exit very poorly marked. Staff we encountered were very friendly. Great discounts for Mackinaw Golf Club, which they own, and was a very nice par 72 course. We golfed there 3 times during our stay. Overall, a nice park and we would go back. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Very close to Mackinaw City, and free shuttle to Ferry to Mackinaw Island.Bike trail to downtown. Nice to ride bikes in the park.

We stayed 1 week, and price reflects weekly, off-season rate.

Campground is located on the shores of Lake Huron; some spots have lake and/or bridge view. Campground is very large (200+ sites) with nicely packed and graded roads. Campsites are a combination of gravel and grass, and ours was fairly level. Each site has a small fire pit, although ours was too close to our motorhome to use safety. There are also public-use fire pits located at the edge of the lake with a beautiful view of the Mackinac Bridge.

Although we were given WiFi passcodes, the WiFi was unusable due to the slow speed (Tengo). We did not use the campground WiFi and used Verizon, instead. Verizon signal was strong and service good.

There was only one set of trash dumpsters located at the front of the park, but because the park is so large, we had to drive our trash to the dumpsters. Also, there are no pet receptacles anywhere in the park, so plan on using your own bags to collect their waste and carrying it with you throughout their entire walk (yuck)!

The campground is only a couple of miles from Mackinac City, and if you are planning on visiting the island, one of the local ferries provides shuttle service several times a day directly from the campground.

All in all, although we prefer small campgrounds, we would consider returning sometime again. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are planning to visit Mackinac Island, Arnold's Ferry is $5.00/pp cheaper than the one recommended by the campground.

This was our 2nd stay here this year. Our first experience in June was very nice but we were not happy with our site #610. But I checked out all the sites and when I made reservations for our stay in Sept. I requested site 102. Phenomenal!! Our view was spectacular! We were right across the camp road for Lake Huron, with Mackinaw Island also directly across from us and the bridge just to the west. It was so beautiful. We had great weather, the campground was quite because schools were already in session. Most of the campers were retired like us. We really love this campground. It is extremely big, but I love that because there are so many places to ride my bike and walk. This was my favorite camping trip of the year and we will be back! We highly recommend. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

To many things to mention. Mackinaw Island, the Fort, Darrows Restaurant and so much more. We also toured the Icebreaker Mackinaw and it's was well worth it.

Yes, this is a huge RV park. Contrary to what other posters have mentioned, if you look at the piece of paper they give you to clip on to your site post, there are very detailed, turn by turn directions to get to your site. Guess they didn't notice it.
We were in a Lake front site, # 641. Had clear roof top satellite access, and very good Vz and AT&T phone service. The park is pretty big rig friendly, though the lake front spots require quite a bit of front to back leveling. Site 643, the Class C had his front wheels about a foot off the ground. The park wifi did not work at all, and the front office advised me of that at check in.
Our site had plenty of room for our awning to be out, as well as slides, and we didn't feel cramped. We had an unobstructed Straits view, as well as the Mighy Mac, and Mackinac Island.
We will definitely return when in the area. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The lake front fire spots fill up quickly at night. Plan on parking your chairs and fire wood in the late afternoon if you want one. The North Central State bike trail is directly across the 23 from the Park. Head North on it for a 15 minute bike ride in to Mackinaw City.

Biggest park we've ever camped at. A basic facility with a beautiful location with many sites on/or near the water!

Our site was above average 30×60'.

The best reason to visit the area is the scenery, the lake and a boat ride to the island and back. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The biggest disappointment was a "Pastie". More potatoes than meat and little flavor. However, there is delicious, locally made fudge everywhere...and it's all delicious.

Park is in a good location with many sites facing the water. We stayed inland where there is more spacing between sites. The water facing sites are spaced very close together. Because we were there in late September/early October, the park was relatively quiet with many open spaces so we didn't feel crowded. The roads leading to the sites are dirt and the sites are grass/dirt. Full service utilities were good and our AT&T service worked fine. Trees in our site prevented satellite access but there were many other sites that had a clear shot. Overall it's an okay park if you want to visit Mackinaw City and the island. We would probably stay here again if in the area. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.

We lucked up and got a very large site in this huge campground. There was good vegetation to seperate sites on our row which was one row over from the Lake. The park has one mile of shoreline on Lake Michigan. They offer discount tickets to the Mackinac Island Ferry.
Solid utilities but we could not get satellite and there is no cable. We did get 2 or 3 over the air stations but the signal was weak and not dependable. Other sites could get satellite so it just depends on your location. Other utilities were solid and good Verizon 4G. Mostly paved roads and level gravel sites. Nice for biking and walking. Nice areas along the lake front for camper use. Mackinac Island and the bridge are clearly visible. No well defined places for pets so you just have to find a good spot for them to "go". Many activities including fire engine rides, putt putt, pool, and playgrounds for the kids. We would stay here again. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Biking distance to town and the ferries to the island.

We loved it here. There are a ton of things to do - hay and fire truck rides, pool, beach, arcade, bikes, etc. The camp store is large and well stocked. The campground is very wooded for a private campground which is unfortunately not the norm. The lake and bridge views were beautiful. The Star Liner ferry had two shuttle stops inside the campground and they were very accommodating. I would have given it a 10 except our "extra large" site that we paid extra for wasn't any bigger than most of the regular sites. Also, our site had poison ivy in it which they addressed very quickly. It looks like they are making some updates too. Overall, we will go back. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Travel Trailer.

This is a huge campground with many family oriented activities. We spent three nights here and found it to be adequate for our needs. There was easy access to a well groomed bike path which allowed us to pedal to Mackinaw City. The campground also provides a shuttle service to the Mackinac Island ferry and discounted tickets. Unfortunately, all garbage has to be carried to the front office dumpsters, which can be a very long walk if you are at one of the more distant camp sites. The owners should consider investing in a better garbage hauling service, as the dumpsters were overflowing on a Wednesday. Also, the WiFi connections and internet service, provided by Tengo, did not work at all during our three-day stay. We most likely would not stay here again. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.
