First, I don’t like to be forced to pay a reservation fee. At least 2 campgrounds in this area do this. The one-time non-returnable reservation fee is $3.00. Minus 1 point. The receipt that was given to me is very difficult to understand. It took several minutes to see exactly what I paid, but there are no dates on the receipt other than arrival & departure dates. Minus 1 point. Free Wi-Fi? Not really. You get one coupon with a Tengo Internet code per 24 hr. period, but the catch is that you can only use that code on one device. My wife and I each have a PC and each have a phone. So I was given the option to purchase more coupons at $2.00 per device per 24 hr. period. So for the 4 nights we stayed, I paid $8.00 for “free” internet access. But I must admit, on a Friday evening, the internet was running smoothly, but I still must subtract one more point! There is only one place to dump trash in this very large campground. I suppose the reason is to keep down any wildlife issues. However, with that said, the campground itself was run well. It has hundreds of sites, some big, some small. It’s location is on Lake Huron. There’s a pool, free mini-golf and a nice large camp store with arcade/game room. Our site was large with a very nice fire ring. The utilities were spread far apart. I had to use a second hose to get to the water outlet; the electric and sewer lines barely reached their respective outlets after I moved trailer to accommodate my 25 ft. electric cord. Sadly minus another point. If you go in June, beware of the billions of flying insects that apparently arrive for about 2 weeks. At first I thought they were mosquitos, but were they’re not. They don’t bite, but they are VERY annoying and get all over everything! We may or may not stay here again, only because of the limited choices in the area. Our overall opinion of Mill Creek Campground is poor at best. The advertising and marketing did not match reality. We were jammed into a spot on the second row off the lake. After coming back from a supply run to town, some neighbors had already started a cooking fire in our ring since there was no room on their site for a fire. We will not go back there nor recommend the campground to anyone that asks. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Our rate was based on a lake front site with a bridge view. The site length was adequate for our 38' fifth wheel RV but very narrow. The site was full hookups with 30 amp service. If we stayed here again we would opt for a site off the water and wider. All the utilities worked well. The campground is large but all the interior roads are well marked. Our Verizon phone and hot spot worked well. We had to relocate our Dish Tailgater satellite antenna several times when new campers arrived and blocked our signal. We would stay here again. This is the largest and best maintained park in which we have stayed. It includes almost a mile of lakefront, a beach, and wonderful views of the island and the bridge. The sites are all very good and most with trees but the size depends on the location and probably price. Ours could easily have fit two RVs side-by-side comfortably. The sites are all quite level, grass and gravel, and include fire pits and a nice picnic table. Unfortunately, the store and arcade were closed off-season when we were there, but the town is just 3 miles away and it is loaded with restaurants and tourist shops. There is a very nice pool (also closed in September) and playgrounds. The campground includes cabins and plenty of paths for a walk or run. The layout into zones means you never realize you are in such a large campground. In the summer, it must be full of families and kids having a great time. They also offer discount tickets to the island. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This campground is a little on the rustic side, but well maintained, and the staff were helpful at check in. Roads were dusty and since this is such a huge campground it's better and easier to unhook your towed before you get to your site. Pad was gravel, level and back in. Big rig access was good. Very quiet, adequate privacy, space for the towed, shade trees, grass, picnic table and fire ring. There is a small pool by the store. There is only one bathhouse but plenty of clean pit toilets throughout the campground. No laundry. Lots of places to walk your pet. Wi-Fi and cell were good. There are food stores and restaurants in Mackinaw City. We would stay here again, it's very convenient to Mackinac Island, we had a front row site with wonderful views that overlooked Lake Huron, and the Mackinac Bridge. This park is HUGE! Definitely unhook your car if you have a tow and find your site before bringing in the RV. We were in the second row from the beach in a very wide site and very private with trees on the edges. But there was plenty of room to back in our 40 foot RV. Lots of room for the tow too. Right on Lake Huron with beautiful views. Very good Verizon voice and data. Site was level and quiet. Good park for dog walking. Lots of things for kids to do. And a great location to go to Mackinac Island. We've been here before and we'll come back. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.Undo

Our large site was fairly level gravel and dirt on a dusty busy road. Full hookups worked fine. Wi-Fi is good, get a coupon for each 24 hrs. Lots of walking, but dog is supposed to stay on the road. Only one bathhouse, but very clean pit toilets throughout the campground. Good location. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Large spacious park with loads of biking and walking roads, as well as excellent sunset views. They need more dumpster locations around the campground. Gravel roads can get very dusty. If you don't like the smoke from campfires, stay back from the sites nearest the water. Convenient to Mackinaw City and ferry to Mackinac Island. We'd stay there again We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.Undo

The biggest con with this campground is, if you want to extend your stay you have to switch sites and then for some unknown reason they can't tell you which site you're moving to until the next day. We extended twice and had to move 2 times. They wont tell you which site you're moving to until 11 o'clock that day. Other than that, the campground is great. Very spacious sites. Good for big rigs. Gravel road in front of site tends to get very dusty with traffic. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

We were located at the end loop between loops 7 & 8 on site 178. When you book here you cannot choose what site you get, rather you tell them what kind of site you want. We booked this site (and another for our camping buddies) and had to book on Labor Day of 2013 in order to get this for July of 2014. The view from our sites were excellent! You can see the Mackinac Bridge, Mackinac Island, and Bois Blanc island from the sites. There is a 'common' grassy area that really gives the place a park like atmosphere. Although we enjoyed our stay and loved our sites, I would not want to stay in one of the interior sites behind us as I felt they were packed in. There are other sites throughout the campground that I would consider. They have a fire engine they run through the park and give rides as well as during the weekend (when we were there) a hay ride. There is a nice beach and a pool for swimming. The store is really nice with some grocery items and, of course, camping supplies, souvenirs, etc. There is a game room that is in the same building as the store and looks nice as well. There is a free shuttle from/to the campground to the Star Line Ferry for Mackinac Island. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well cared for. We would camp here again. This is a huge park! For one thing, you can't get lost finding the place, there are huge signs leading you in, for miles ahead of time! Then, once you pull in, you have a large "reception office" with about 6 windows to check people in and map you to your location. Easy to follow signs lead you to your site. These people have it all figured out. We lucked out and got a site nearest to the water view, which was nice. Again, it's Michigan, so parking on grass, but plenty of space. Expect lots of children, everywhere, on bikes! Really nice place tho and super convenient to everything is why we chose it. The "water strip" is so nice to walk along and they have benches and fire rings to use if you want. We set up our own chairs the first night with a glass of wine and just watched the freighters go by. Unfortunately most the week was pretty cold and rainy to do much outside, but a really lovely park! FHU, but no TV We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.Undo

We really liked this campground. There are sites here for everyone's tastes. Sunny, shaded, open, private, lake sites. If you reserve in advance you'll find something you love. We went in unreserved and they found us a site with view of the water, next to a road, with a green space between us and the lake with view of the bridge. She said go look at it and make sure you like it. We did. The staff was great. Bathrooms and showers also very adequate. There is a great trail from the campground to the docks where you take the boat to Mackinac Island. We'd definitely stay here again. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Travel Trailer.Undo

The pine throughout the cabin is a very nice touch. Comfortable for a couple of nights stay. If you like to be surrounded by a lot of people and activity this would be a good place to go. View of the bridge is a nice plus. Another plus is being close to Mackinac City and the docks. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Campground Cabin.Undo
