This is a small campground, two roads, one in and one out. Some sites are tree covered but we were able to get satellite, T-mobile was good. Seems like the regular returnees are close to the beach. Our site had 50 and 30 amp service. Sites are level with sand and gravel. No sewer hook-up but a dump station is available. The utility hookups were on the right side, shared with the adjacent site. Camp ground is family oriented, kids have a great time on the beach. We came for Mackinaw Island, rode our bikes to the ferry dock. We camped for four days. We camped at TeePee Camprground in a Motorhome.

Cute, pleasant. Office people are very friendly and helpful as are the resident camper people that work there. Extremely friendly. Spaces toward road by office are very big and open. Spaces toward beach have more trees but also more bugs. The bugs don't bite, they just swarm. Beach is perfect for kids (10 and 15 years old) and dogs to pounce around in. Nice view of bridge and birds all around. Beautiful sunset. People are very laid back and don't get worked up about anything. This is a very dog friendly place. The shuttle to the ferry is convenient as they call it for you and give you discounted tickets. We walked back as it was only 1.3 miles but you wouldn't have to. There is a really nice biking and running trail across the road. It goes to Mackinaw City and the other way. You could get in a nice run (easily 5-10 Miles). When you arrive they are very casual about which site you can go to. They gave us a list of options and let us pick. Very nice. We also didn't need reservations which I liked. We stayed two nights as I think one really only needs a day on Mackinac Island. There is a nightly fire on the beach. One night had no people really and one night had a lot of people. We camped at TeePee Camprground in a Travel Trailer.

Older, fairly well maintained campground. Bathhouse is heavily used, but usually clean. Sites are close. Trees are helpful is giving privacy. Nightly bonfires on the beach are fun. Sandy beach, rocky water, but it's Michigan, too cold for Texans to swim! Free shuttle to the ferry, discount tickets available. We camped at TeePee Camprground in a Travel Trailer.

We took our bikes on the ferry to ride around the island (8 miles). Spent 2 days on island, couple of days in town. Rode bikes to town and on the rails to trails path.

Like everything in this area, it is expensive. We were given a site with 30 amp & water. No sewer but there is a dump station. They have some sites on the water & you can see the big bridge. You park on grass & it is fairly level. Site was large enough for our 41 ft 5th wheel & truck or so we thought until we came back from site seeing & discovered that a huge motor home had back up to our rig within inches of our bike rack. We had set up our DISH behind our rig & just to the side. It was now shooting right into the rear end side of the motorhome. What a bummer! It was difficult to put our bikes back on the rack due to space & having to straddle his tow bar. We didn't use the restrooms. There is a game room & tourist info. Shuttle picked us & our bikes up right at camp (for $52.00 for 2 ppl) & ferried us to Mackinac Island. We camped at TeePee Camprground in a Fifth Wheel.

we did all the tourist things. Went to Mackinac Island. thought it all was a bit expensive. There is a Walmart in Cheboycan. We drove the tunnel of trees and ate polish food at Leg's Inn in Cross Village.

This park had a beautiful view of the Mackinac Island bridge. The beach area is rocky, I'd highly recommend water shoes if you're a swimmer. The campground is conveniently located in the Mackinac area but it's nothing glamorous. You can hear road traffic very easily. The bathrooms were HOT after a shower, and there is barely enough room to change your clothes in private. DO BRING A SCREENED IN TENT FOR BLACK FLIES. There's a nice playground on the beach area for children.

The mackinaw island ferries run a shuttle service to this campground as well as other hotels campground's in the area. We camped at TeePee Camprground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

1. Radio stations advertise discounts on ferry rides to the island. Otherwise you're paying top dollar.

2. Water shoes

3. Screened in tent

4. Take the carriage ride around the island. It provides a nice little history lesson with humor. The carriage drivers love sharing about their horses too.

5. Not much of a grocery store in Mackinac, I'd shop at Walmart or Meijer prior to going there.

The previous review by "bloomis" was right on. We stayed for one week, paid for 6 nights and received one night free. Ask for the bonus package. Great family park. Bike trail just outside of park takes you to town in about 10 minutes. Really convenient to ferries to Mackinac Island. Only down side was the water pressure was very low when the park was full. We camped at TeePee Camprground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 4 nights. Smaller campground that was just perfect. No frills, just camping, a nice beach. Very close to town, offered to call shuttle service for ferries. No full hookups, but if you needed to dump while there, they provided blue totes to dump. Staff was on site and friendly. Nightly group campfire on the beach was awesome! Beach was mostly sand with some rocks, but they were smooth. We will return here. We camped at TeePee Camprground in a Travel Trailer.

A smaller park on the water. We managed to get an excellent site overlooking Lake Huron and the Mackinac Bridge. Very friendly lady manager that personally delivered a package to our site that I had ordered a week earlier. Our site was fairly level, with shade and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely go back to this little gem. We camped at TeePee Camprground in a Motorhome.

You can't beat the location (1 mile from the city), but the sites are small and narrow. We had a tricky time backing our 35' fifth wheel into the assigned site. The park was very dusty as every car that drives through kicks up quite a bit, even when driving slowly. The power (30 amp) was insufficient, as we tripped a breaker quite easily with 2 small appliances. The people were nice and the park was clean, but next time we will stay in St. Ignace. We camped at TeePee Camprground in a Fifth Wheel.

Park has a very nice view of the Mackinaw Bridge and Lake Huron. I prefer the 50 amp sites in the back of the park as they have a nice view of the water and bridge and are far enough from the road that there is no road noise. These sites are large enough for a 40 ft fifth wheel and are wider than the sites at the front of the park. The park does not have any sewer sites, which is a negative for me, but we stay here every time we come to Mackinaw City because of the view and the friendly owners. Pictures on their website are not realistic as the campsites are close! For example, beach was small and weedy, more weeds than sand. Water pressure was so low that we could not shower. We were there on Labor Day weekend and every possible space for a campsite was used. If the park is not crowded it would probably be much better. On the plus side: close to Mackinac City and the hosts were pleasant. We camped at TeePee Camprground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for two nights and although its certainly not a great park, it was pleasant and friendly. There were 30 amp hookups with water and a dump station which we didn't see. The location is excellent, as its very close in to the Mackinaw City area and the staff was very friendly. We would stay here again if visiting this area. Sites are a little close together. Beach and waterfront view is glorious. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Quiet hours are NOT enforced. No sewer hookups and no pump out available. You may borrow a portable waste tank to hand dump at dump station if you are there more than a couple of days. It was really noisy late at night with kids up late, loud partying neighbors. Very few private campgrounds on the Great Lakes, but we will not return due to late night noise and no pump out service with no sewer hookups at any site. We camped at TeePee Camprground in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here over the 4th of July weekend and the park was full. We lost power several times during the holiday weekend (reason unknown) however service was restored fairly quickly. The sites were adequate but not overly large, some were however big enough to accommodate big rigs. The camp store was average and stocked with the basics. All sites had water and electric hookups. No issues getting level at our site. Staff was friendly and helpful when we arrived and provided an escort to our site. If you are looking for a home base while sightseeing in the area this campground will provide that. The local ferry services to Mackinac Island will provide free shuttle service to the ferry dock. We camped at TeePee Camprground in a Motorhome.
