Wonderful Managed City RV Park. Walk to market, food, fishing pier. Walking trail goes for miles. WI FI Strong. Some site OK for Direct TV, 8+ over the air(ABC, FOX) channels, Utilities Great, Free cable available from office. Dog Friendly, walk to Farmers Market(Wed and Sat) Mostly Retired RVers. Some Box Elder bugs .Will Return. We camped at Trailway Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Great Area, approx 10 Very Nice Golf courses within 15 miles. Sept prices for Golf VERY RESONABLE. Best we played - Old Channel Trails GC(27 holes) and Benora Shores GC(18 holes Par 3& 4) might be the Best we have played in 3 years.

This is a wonderful city owned campground. There are a large number of seasonal campers but they are some of the nicest and quietest that we have encountered. The only campground negatives are that the sites are not real large and not all of the sites are shaded (ours was shaded). Sites are gravel with a concrete patio. No campfires permitted on site which cuts down on smoke; there is a community fire pit with wood provided. Even though the park is right in town, it is very quiet. The short-term sites are in the back section of the campground. The bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. Cable TV takes a proprietary cable box for which you must sign that you will be responsible for it (no deposit requested); we could only receive three TV stations without the cable. No credit cards taken so reservation deposits must be mailed and balance paid with cash or check. Wi-Fi was very good. Extensive bike trails and wetlands are adjacent to the campground, as are a grocery store and an ice cream stand. We definitely will return and maybe stay longer the next time! We camped at Trailway Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

For a good meal try the Old Channel Inn on Lake Michigan (http://oldchannelinn.com/). A unique artsy place is Claybanks Pottery (http://claybankspottery.com/) where you can watch the artists work in a picturesque setting.

We had a great space near the greenway, I think #52. We were able to get satellite in spite of all the trees, we just pulled forward in our space. They are close together but the convenient location makes up for it. Our front windshield looked out to beautiful marshes behind the greenway trail. The grass was lush and abundant for the dogs, they were ecstatic! We had a few mosquitos at night. The town is sweet, Saturday farmers market was wonderful. Right next to a good supermarket, ice cream parlour and coffee shops. Really enjoyed a few days here and plenty of water activities and golf nearby. I recommend this park if you can get a site near the front of the park. Mostly seasonal rigs in the back and interior. Seems to be very well run. We camped at Trailway Campground in a Motorhome.

This was a nice clean quiet RV park in the downtown area. I was surprised at how quiet it was. We were in the back section and there was no road noise at all. It's right next door to a grocery store and ice cream shop, how cool is that! And a bike path right alongside the park. We had good reception with the Wi-Fi. You need to put up a deposit for the cable TV. We had a nice long level site for our big rig. We camped at Trailway Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground appears attractive, on the surface. It's attractive and clean. This park is conveniently located next to a park, biking trail and grocery store. You can easily walk to town. The sites are too closely spaced, we felt like we were sharing a site with our neighbors. However, it was easy to get parked and easy to pull out. The Wi-Fi worked great, better then we have found in other parks. The bad is the terrible infestation of box elder bugs. We have been inundated with these bothersome bugs. I killed 20 or more bugs each day inside, and the outside of our coach has many all over it. Also, if you want cable there is a $100 cash deposit required which is supposedly returned when you bring the cable box back "in good working condition." We could not get any satellite because the elevation is so low your dish is pointing at other RVs. Next door is building that runs a noisy squeeky fan 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday. Then the worst is when my husband drove 7 miles an hour (the speed limit is 5) and was told, "you were going way over the speed limit." It's a shame because the other campers have been friendly. We will opt for a park with friendlier management if we are ever in this area again. We camped at Trailway Campground in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed this park because it was quiet and centrally located for most of our activities. The only complaints are the small site sizes and the Internet was not working at times. We camped at Trailway Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Wow, I can't believe that we are the first review for this wonderful little muni CG in Montague. We came in on a spring special of second night at half price, so we paid $45 for two nights, no credit or debit cards are taken here. We had a nice level pull through with 50 amp full hookups with both cable and Wi-Fi. Hookups were in very good condition and easy to access and it was a good cable lineup. The CG is right next to a state bike path and located right in town on Business 31. Everything (ice cream stand, grocery store, downtown shops, laundry, pizza, dining, etc.) is within walking distance, a nice change of pace for us. Our site was nice and long, but a bit on the narrow side, some are better than others. There is a nice concrete patio that is even with the grade, so no possible tire damage while pulling in. There is a tent area and a small fishing stream running through the CG. The Wayside Bar & Grille was a very busy place for the locals, doesn't look like much from the outside but was very clean inside. Tall domestic drafts were $1.50 regular price, $1 on Sundays. The food was OK, not the best but the service was very good and we also walked to it. We camped at Trailway Campground in a Motorhome.
