This is a huge campground, beautifully situated around four lakes and endless green lawns. It's almost 3 miles around the perimeter! Coming down Haas Rd. to the campground, you leave pavement for the last mile and have to travel over a lousy dirt road and compete with big trucks coming in and out of gravel pit. There's a nasty little hole on the right just as you leave the pavement so watch out for it. Registration was efficient but staff seemed grumpy. The interior roads and sites and hard pack dirt. The overwhelming majority of sites are back in, many on the lakefronts. The spacing of the sites is very inconsistent, with many generously spaced and other areas more tightly packed. There are a handful of pull thru sites, and we had one, which we would highly recommend. Z1, a super long pull through near lake 4 with a patio area so large that the fire pit was about 60 feet away. The sites are level. Most seem satellite friendly. No cable. The utilities worked fine but the water pressure seemed low. The WiFi was o.k. early in the morning and late at night and completely nonexistent the rest of the time. Very frustrating. The restrooms are nice enough but poorly spaced. They are all in the front section of the campground and it is literally a five minute DRIVE to the nearest restroom from the lake 4 area. A $10 deposit gets you a key card to get in and out of the campground. The lakes are very nice, two with beaches and all types of water fowl to view. Lots of seasonal campers with their golf carts. Plenty of dumpsters. We camped at Haas Lake Park RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This was really a nice park. Even though it is located in an urban area, you feel like you are out in the country. We were in sites 46 and 47 on Lake 4, Section Z. I requested a lakeside lot when I made the reservation and that's what we got. Sunsets were beautiful over the lake. We camped at Haas Lake Park RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We waited until after 9:30 to leave the park for the Ford Museum, Greenfield Village and the Rouge Factory Tour. We were able to avoid most of the morning traffic. It took us 6 hours to see Greenfield Village, which got us stuck in afternoon traffic. The next day we started out with the factory tour and then the museum so we could get on the road back to the park by 3:00. Don't miss the factory tour where they make the F150's. That was a great surprise.

It is a shame this very nice campground has such a horrible road system. Do not come to this campground with a clean rig or vehicle because after you get to your site you will either be covered in dust or mud, dependent on the weather at the time. Otherwise, the sites are nice, mostly level, situated around the bodies of water, and reliable utilities. We camped at Haas Lake Park RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful, peaceful park with 4 lakes and mature trees. The lakes are home to many ducks, geese, and swans, turtles, and fish. There is a high percentage of seasonal and park models throughout (many are families that have been coming here for decades) but all are well maintained. The roads are easily traveled by a big rig, and all sites around Lake #4 (Y & Z sites) will accommodate 45+ footers. AT&T signal is poor but acceptable (1-2 bars). We did not give it a higher rating because there are not enough laundry facilities for a park this size (2 laundry rooms with a total of 7 washers & 7 dryers). Also, despite nice long/deep sites, our fire ring is located 3 feet from a pine tree and 3 feet from a slope to the water, limiting use. Roads are dirt and frequently in need of grading, especially on the entrance road but also throughout the park. There was also a mixup with our reservation which couldn't be resolved. There's no off-leash dog park, but there's a county dog park just a couple of miles away (Lyon Oaks - $$). The Camp Store is only open on weekends during May/June until school gets out for the summer. Note that only about 1/3 of their sites have sewer hookups. There is a honey wagon that can be scheduled for something like $8-10 per trip. We camped at Haas Lake Park RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here for convenience but was a little pricey. PROS: Classic private Summertime campground for families noted for lake access. Swingsets interspersed among camp circles, entertainment facilities for kids. After hours gate access requires a keycard. Well maintained campground. CONS: Nearby neighbors but quiet early in camping season. No nearby bath house to Village area (not a problem on full hookups). Gravel site, no picnic table, no tree on our site for shade. Deposit required for gate access keycard. Hard water left immediate rust residues. Many many rules: no tents, no pallets, no tying laundry line to trees, guest fees... We camped at Haas Lake Park RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Walmart, Tractor Supply, Lowe's (Milford Road) and Meijer (Wixom Road) are all nearby. The drive in on Haas Road is dirt near the entrance. 12 Mile Road is also a dirt road (take Grand River to Haas Rd.). The Village is longterm residents, well taken care of and quiet (early June).

Large park, nice setting. Very quiet at night, even over memorial day weekend. I would rate it better if it was managed better. They will not reserve sites because seasonal users get first pick. We were in a group, and our group, although when we made reservations,(we were assured we would be), were NOT near each other. The gave us a site that was promised to someone else, and that person had to go to office and complain as we were already there. Its like they didn't keep track of who was where. The grass isn't very well maintained. Lots of weeds and dandelions. I won't stay here again. We camped at Haas Lake Park RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Called on August 1st for Labor day weekend reservation (praying they had a space for us) and she said they had two spots left. Told us we would be in "L" section, which I wasn't thrilled about-being in a circle, not close to water, and near the front enterance. When we got there, she told us they squeezed us into spot G4. In front of the beach, with nothing but woods behind us. Amazing spot. Couldn't believe it. Beach was clean, quiet, and filled with good people. Quiet at night (even when sold out on Labor day weekend)...Literally our only complaint was that the water had some awful smell to it, methane/rotten eggs. Not a big deal relatively speaking. We camped at Haas Lake Park RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Bring an extension cord for 30 amp. You will share a "plug in station" with the person next to you. Totally separate hookup and meter, but it's in one spot and if you can't maneuver properly, you'll need an extension for water and electric.

We stayed at this park from 5/2016-10/2016. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Facilities are amazingly clean. The lake front site are vey large and some have shade. There is a dirt road that leads to park and the parks roads are dirt, but are kept up very well. They do offer discounts for weekly or monthly stays. monthly for prime 50amp FHU $740.00 + electricity. We camped at Haas Lake Park RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Haas Lake is a very big CG with lots of permanent campers of all descriptions, most were well maintained. As mentioned in previous reviews the dirt road about 1/3 of a mile leading into the CG was not a good deal, we experienced a dusty, wash board drive into the CG. Multiple bathrooms are centrally located with laundry, however the big size of the CG, compared to the number of bathroom facilities can be a fair distance from your camp site. The bathroom and shower facilities were very well thought out as to functionality, water pressure, water temp, good lighting and general very good shower stalls, sinks and toilet facilities. Maybe the best we've experienced in our RV travels as to cleanliness and functionality. Golf carts seem to be the norm for both owners, staff and residents, lots of golf cart traffic and lots of dust. This is a destination CG, short term campers seemed to be moved to a remote location in the CG. The CG has a check in time of 4 PM. We arrived about 12:30 on a Sunday with a paid in advance reservation and were advised of the 4 PM check in and asked to return at 4 PM. The CG is a gated park so we parked just outside the gate watching several RV depart for 3+ hours while waiting for the 4 PM check-in. We travel a lot and this was our 1st experience arriving at a CG when the check in time was so late in the day and refusal to park. From our view the CG had spaces, but can only draw attention to travelers the late in the day check in policy that could be an inconvenience when traveling. I would stay again, however I would avoid the CG primarily due to the dirt road and the late check in without any tolerance should a campsite be available. We camped at Haas Lake Park RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is HUGE....almost 500 sites! Each area has it's own swimming lake with a small beach for each. The manager put us in Z1.....what a great pull-through spot! No one on our right, in front of us and lots of room to our left. It's like we were there all alone. Very accommodating staff. Close to WalMart and Lowes. We'd stay here again. The nightly rate is weekly rate. As others have said the road into the park is not paved. Unfortunately it belongs to the county and they won't pave it because of the trucking business along said road. But the campground does go out on that road with their grader to keep it in as good a condition as they can. They also do a good job of grading their park roads that also are not paved. Most sites do not have sewer. Only 30 amps was available but I can live with that if I have to. Our site was just grass but was open for satellite reception. Lots of activities for guests. Dump stations worked well. They do offer black/gray draining for a small fee. We camped at Haas Lake Park RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $42.00

This campground was a disappointment for us. It started when we pulled up to the gate and I noticed the sign telling me there was no water available in the park because the lines were being cleaned with chlorine. You would think that something like this would have been mentioned when we made the reservation and paid for a full hookup site. The staff there did have a provision for us to fill our tank with clean, not chlorinated water but we still ran out of water right at the end of our 4-day stay. When we got to the site we were assigned in the mostly empty part (April is very early in the camping season in Michigan) we found a site that was too small for our 31' travel trailer yet there was a much more spacious site right next to it that was far easier to back into. We had them move us to the larger site which they promptly did with no hassles.

There are other issues though. The campground is at the end of a road and it turns to dirt shortly after you turn onto it. Normally, I don't really care about dirt roads but in this case, there is what appears to be a gravel or sand pit. The trucks that travel in and out of this business leave this access road in pretty bad shape so go slow.

The shower (Note that I didn't use the plural form here) that was closest to us was beautiful. Ceramic tile throughout the restrooms showed a wonderful attention to detail. The shower was spacious with a nice bench, plenty of hooks and a seemingly endless supply of hot water. Top notch but still, there is only one! I would imagine when the part is full there is quite the line.

This sites were nice and flat (heck, pretty much all of SE Michigan is flat), the staff was nice and helpful and backing up to the little lake was really nice. We camped at Haas Lake Park RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed for one month due to family living in the area. If you are visiting the Detroit area, this is one of the few parks within a reasonable distance from various attractions. Haas Lake would get a 10 from us if they took better care of their roads. They are very dusty when it is dry and very muddy when it rains. Other than the road getting to the park and within the park, it is one of the prettiest parks we have stayed at travelling west to east 2000 miles. We were there for one month. There are a lot of seasonal folks at this park and we did not find them particularly friendly. We have stayed at this park several times over the past 10 years, always for a month at a time. We camped at Haas Lake Park RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
