As someone previously stated, there are a lot of rules, but they are not too hard to follow. The campground is for sale, so don't know how long this review will hold up. But we would stay there again. It's a Good Sam Park. We camped at Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

The spaces are side by side, facing front to back, then a large space in between the next site with a picnic table and fire ring. The person next to you is really close, while the next site is quite far! Odd. Other than that, the park is nice. Quiet, wooded, grassy, pull-thrus, much like most of all the campgrounds we've found in Michigan We camped at Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Clementz's for three nights. Sites were roomy and level; all utilities were good. We had good 4G service on our Verizon MiFi; didn't try their Wi-Fi. Bathrooms weren't fancy, much like we've seen in many RV parks. But they were well maintained and clean. There was a nice playground area for children. We would gladly stay here again. We stayed 3 nights at this park because there isn't anything else available in the area. The husband and wife owners are actively trying to sell their park. I've stayed in possibly hundreds of parks but never one with as many rules and signs everywhere. It rained the afternoon we arrived and the owner came by a told me I could not have my floor mat on the ground as would kill the grass. I asked if I could leave it just until the grass dried and was told if I didn't follow the rules I would be asked to leave without any refund. The "free" Wi-Fi is for 150 MB per 24 hours and then you need a new code. You are alloted 150 MB/day, period. Verizon MiFi was slow but usable. Power was good but the water was another issue. The pressure is great (50 psi)but the supply pipes serving two sites are 1/2", so there is no volume. I filled my fresh water tank and used my pump. It took almost 30 minutes to fill my 100 gallon tank. You can check out sports equipment but if its returned with any damage, you forfeit the $10 deposit. We enjoyed the area, just not the rule laden park so much. We camped at Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

I think the previous reviewer of this park might be unhappy in a lot of places. We stayed for a week in our 40' RV and liked it a lot. Very quiet, even in August, and our utilities worked fine - no problems with water pressure. We had no sewer hookup, but there was a dump station in the middle of the park. Roads were gravel, and sites were grass. Our pull-through site (#40) was fairly level. Site utilities were "back-to-back", so when we had a neighbor he was very close to us on the driver's side. We didn't like that, but the "front yard" area was very spacious and we enjoyed the fire pit on a couple of occasions. The Verizon signal to our phones and amplified Hotspot was OK, and we had no problems. Bathrooms were clean, and the showers had benches and hooks. The laundry room consisted of 2 washers and 2 dryers, but the folding table was tiny. There was a nice walking path adjacent to the park, and the mosquitoes welcomed us! The town of Newberry was 8 miles away, Tahquamenon Falls less than 20, and the drive to Pictured Rocks was about 65 miles. We liked this park and would come back again. We camped at Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

We stayed here over the busy 4th of July weekend. We were assigned a 50 amp electric site but no sewer hookup. Sites were large, on grass, and reasonably level. We had ample shade from the trees but were lucky to get good satellite and phone reception. The main drawback was the abundance of mosquitoes and horse flies at that time of year. This is an okay place to stay for a night but not a destination, at least for us. We camped at Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects Good Sam discount for 50 amp and water pull-through site. Sewer only available at 30 amp sites. Park is clean and well maintained. Very limited Verizon cell phone service. Our roof mounted satellite worked in the site we were assigned but some other sites may be too treed. We visited the falls and shipwreck museum from here one day and the Seney National Wildlife Refuge and the fabulous Top of the Lake Snowmobile Museum in Naubinway on our second day. You are asked to sign a waiver upon registration stating that you can not ask for a refund due to bugs or weather. We found it funny...others may not. Bugs were not too bad in late July. We camped at Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

The owners are very helpful and friendly, but they seem obsessed with rules. There was a full sheet of newsprint spelling them all out. Nicely laid out campground with good access although the trees on the outer ring needed trimming to prevent hitting the rig. They asked us to use pads for our jacks so they wouldn't dig into the grass. Never been asked that before. Overall a good stay. Close to Tahquamenon Falls and the Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point. Rate reflects Good Sam Discount. We camped at Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Very clean, quiet, well maintained. I was surprised to get Internet access in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and glad to be able to post photos. Rates very reasonable. Will stay here again. We camped at Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Campground Cabin.

We stayed here for 4 nights. We are new to camping and the owners were very helpful. It was a big plus the sites are pull thru and they are Huge. We did not feel crowded at all. The park is very clean and the owners do a good job at keeping up with all the people that come and go. We had a 50 amp water and electric site and even though we had neighbors, we felt like it was private. Very quiet place to stay and close to all the attractions that we wanted to see. We will recommend to others. We camped at Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

If you are interested in sight seeing in the area, this park is a good option. Nice, pull through, full hook up sites with easy access for our large motorhome. Yes, the roads are narrow, but there are no obstacles. The sites are reasonably spacious, side by side connections on grass. Easily leveled with the jacks. Good satellite view, but cable is available for extra cost. Internet is very limited - one computer and 150mb per 24 hours. Park facilities are modest for families and kids. We camped at Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Great campground in God's country! We stayed in the little lodge and what an awesome surprise! We felt so at home with all the "homey" furnishings. Owners live on site and were extremely helpful and nice. Directed us to a local restaurant which was a great recommendation! Peaceful and quiet walking trail. Mosquito's and flies did not bother us at all. I highly recommend this campground if in the area. Not far from the falls! We would stay here again when in the area. This is a modest-sized campground six-to-seven miles north of Newberry. It is an older park with some tight turns and tree limbs requiring careful negotiating with a big rig. There is water and electric on grassy sites, a dump station, and gravel interior roads. The bathrooms and showers are dated but clean. The laundry has two washers and two dryers. The dryers do not dry clothes very well, and there is a prohibition against hanging laundry outside unless attached to your rig. At registration, I was asked to read and sign an acknowledgement recognizing the fact that mosquitoes and black flies could be a problem and that there would be no refunds for early departures. The mosquitoes and black flies were not as bad as some reports, but it was difficult to spend much time outside without continually swatting incoming attacks. The Shipwreck Museum at White Fish Point is a “must see” for the area. We attended the July 4th parade in Newberry, which was entertaining. Verizon data service was good, but could not get phone service. We could get a DirecTV signal. The nightly rate reflects the Good Sam discount. We camped at Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.
