We stayed for an ovenight here. There were several families here and quite a few kids that were well behaved. The sites are very uneven and take some work to get level. Good stop over if visiting the upper peninsula. Even though quite a bit of rain had came down the ground was still firm to drive on. We camped at Kritter’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Truck Camper.

We stayed here 2 nights passing through. Sites were level on grass. Good 50 amp power. Since it was last minute, we did not get a full hookup site. Clean bathrooms & showers. Ice & firewood available. Beach volleyball & horseshoes. Campers park in opposite directions which maximizes space. We camped at Kritter’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

We went to Whitefish Point 45 minutes & Taquamenon State Park & Falls <30 minutes. Don't miss Browns Fishery restaurant in Paradise. Fresh delicious fried or broiled Whitefish. Would also be fairly central to go to Pictured Rocks or Sault St Marie

Rustic camping experience with wonderful views, walking paths, and quiet. Grass sites that are good sized. Owners restrict size of mats to protect grass. We just folded ours in half. No sweat. Hookups are old school with two sites sharing central pedestal. Cable is free. Owners are on site and very nice. We'll be back. We camped at Kritter’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Quite, spacious, shaded and level pull though with water and 50 amp power. We had excellent satellite reception at our site. The dump station was convenient and easy in/out layout. We would return in future travels.

What make this campground outstanding, the addition of "Full hookup" feature with a sewer connection at each large site, gravel or paved surface for RV's. Other wise, the owners have dine a fine job of making improvements! We camped at Kritter’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Clean, quiet park. Nice, level pull through sites. Grassy. They ask that you don't use a large mat so the grass doesn't get killed. It was a reasonable request to us. Owners live on site. Helpful, friendly people. They have laundrymat onsite, but not much of a camp store. They have firewood, but I am not sure about even ice. Really enjoyed staying here. We camped at Kritter’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice park deep in the woods of Upper Peninsula Michigan. Town is close by, offering everything you need, and Tahquamenon Falls State park is close as well. There are hiking trails within the campground. It is a family friendly park with a nice playground and dog area. Grounds are groomed nicely with lots of mature trees for good shade, but satellite users seemed able to receive signals. Cable is free. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We couldn't get our cable to work on set up and they came right over and helped us. All services worked well. Park is very clean. Sites are grass and mostly level. We would stay here again. We camped at Kritter’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Wonderful surprise in UP! Very clean and neat with knowledgeable and helpful owners. Beautiful layout with nice trees and setting. Internet weak and newly installed cable TV had much static on some key channels. We stayed in a 30 amp with cable - no sewer or water. We stayed in a class B 23 ft with no slides or toad. Lots to do and see in nearby area! Bear "farm" nearby is a bonus. We would stay here again! We camped at Kritter’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

We have been to this park before with the old owners. It was nice to see all the signs gone of what a person cannot do. They were all over the park before. These folks are very friendly and are working to improve the park. Only downfall they have right now is the Wi-Fi does not work so well. Need to go outside to get it to work. Only have 8 sites with sewer, but for only 2 days we survived. They have a dump station or when you leave. We would stay here again. This is a family owned campground that is quiet and clean. The sites grass and level. Some of the sites are shared hookups, with the few sites with sewer hook-ups seasonal patrons. The campground is very quiet outside of town. We had 30 amp, W/E, which worked fine. The owners check you in and are very friendly and helpful. The campground is a good place to use as a base for seeing the local attractions. We stayed here in a 39 foot fifth wheel and definitely would stay here again. Tips for other Campers:

This is a good place to stay when visiting Upper and Lower Tahquamenon Falls and Whitefish Point Shipwreck Museum. Be sure to eat at the Fish House in Paradise, Michigan, when you are going through the town. Also, take tour number one of the Tooleville Trolley. You ride an old lumber train for 5 miles, and then ride a riverboat 20 miles and back to see Upper Tahquamenon falls.

The new owners are great people but have lots of work ahead to get the park into better shape. We were in 50amp site but no sewer. Sewer sites were 30amp. There were lots of mosquitoes and black flies-understand this is common for May and June. Sites mostly grass so bug problem eliminates outside activity-at least during these months. OK for overnight but spray before you go outside even to park. Shared hookups so if others there may have close neighbor. Check reviews after this couple has owned the place awhile as likely to be improved. We camped at Kritter’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

If you plan a trip to the UP, this campground is an ideal place to stay. Centrally located, and not too far from any attractions. The new owners are extremely friendly, and show great concern that your needs are met. The restroom/shower facilities are some of the cleanest I have ever seen, and that is a particular peeve of mine. The campground is quiet, and the sites are very level. I guarantee that I will use them again. We camped at Kritter’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Tent Trailer.

The campground was beautiful and level. Very well maintained. The cleanest bath and shower facilities of any campground I have ever been to, and I've camped since I was a little kid. Play area for kids and adults from swings to volleyball and horseshoes. They have a pavilion for special events. You have options for open sites to shaded. The owners are very friendly and helpful and would check to see how our stay was and if there was anything we needed. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable with the different side trips we made in the area. They have a very clean laundry facility with a place to wash dishes if you need it. Very enjoyable experience. Will definitely go back! We camped at Kritter’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Truck Camper.

Oswald Bear rescue very close by and interesting. Tahquamenon Falls is gorgeous and close by. Hour drive to the Painted Rocks. I recommend The Shipwreck Museum was very interesting on Whitefish Point. . Can drive over the Mackinac Bridge if you don't mind a five mile ride over the lakes.

Brand new owners have just recently purchased the park which use to be Clementz's, slight name change for the new owners to Kritter's. The new owners are very friendly and customer service oriented. The park is centrally located to many of the attractions that one would want to see while in the area of the eastern U.P. and is only about 4 miles north of the town of Newberry. You should be pleased with your visit here. We camped at Kritter’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

We stayed 3 nights at this park because there isn't anything else available in the area. The husband and wife owners are actively trying to sell their park. I've stayed in possibly hundreds of parks but never one with as many rules and signs everywhere. It rained the afternoon we arrived and the owner came by a told me I could not have my floor mat on the ground as would kill the grass. I asked if I could leave it just until the grass dried and was told if I didn't follow the rules I would be asked to leave without any refund. The "free" Wi-Fi is for 150 MB per 24 hours and then you need a new code. You are alloted 150 MB/day, period. Verizon MiFi was slow but usable. Power was good but the water was another issue. The pressure is great (50 psi)but the supply pipes serving two sites are 1/2", so there is no volume. I filled my fresh water tank and used my pump. It took almost 30 minutes to fill my 100 gallon tank. You can check out sports equipment but if its returned with any damage, you forfeit the $10 deposit. We enjoyed the area, just not the rule laden park so much. We camped at Kritter’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.
