Staff very friendly. Our site was perfect. However in some other areas the campers were very close together. There are some pull throughs available. Roads were dusty, maybe no rain for awhile? Lot of activities and amenities. We camped at Covenant Hills Camp in a Travel Trailer.

We code this park because of location, close to relatives. This is a church camp type of place with numerous campsites, about 400 of them! We were there over the 4th and the place was nearly full with lots of children. The park allows no alcoholic beverages at all and smoking allowed only in your rv if you must smoke. No fireworks or ATV's allowed, but golf carts OK. Quiet time strictly enforced so very quiet at night. The camp has a guard house where everyone must stop unless you have a plaquard which designates current campers, then you are waved through. Very friendly and helpful staff, everyone cheerful and smiling. We had one small issue as did the man in the next lot; the sewer cap was stuck, looked like someone had run over it, it was flush with ground level. Called office and a maintenance man was sent right out and removed the cap for us. There is lots of shade available in general at this park but we didn't have any, young trees planted where we were, not yet large enough to help. Michigan was having a heat wave the week we were there but we had no electrical shortages. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again! We camped at Covenant Hills Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Park management told us about a wonderful family restaurant in the small town of Millington and we enjoyed eating there. Also, Michigan's Bavarian town, Frankenmuth was near so we always enjoy visiting there! The park has a small lake used for swimming and fishing.

I reserved site 143 for the second week in June 2018. I drove out to look at the site seven weeks prior to time of my reservation. I had to travel down a badly maintained gravel road to get to the park. The roads in the park are badly maintained dirt roads. Mud and standing water all over. I called to cancel my reservation and was told the deposit was non-refundable (almost two months before the reservation) and this is supposed to be a Christian Camp. Doesn't sound very Christian to me. I would suggest you avoid this park or at least visit it prior to giving them a deposit. We camped at Covenant Hills Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Large park with the trees changing colors, very pretty. Lots of room to walk and all kinds of sports and activities available during the season. Close to town. Excellent staff, we had problems with the electric and they came out promptly to fix it. Then we had a problem with one of our jacks coming apart and they also helped us with that. We camped at Covenant Hills Camp in a Motorhome.

Denny's grocery store in town has a whole section of items that have expired but are still good for only $1 or $2. We bought canned things that we use a lot and usually pay a lot more for.

This is our second time at this park, just passing through the area and it is a great stop. FHU, 50 amp, pull-through site. Several OTA TV stations available and excellent WIFI. The park is very clean and in a wonderful setting. We do not avail ourselves of the many amenities but I'm sure they would be terrific judging by the quality of the personnel and the cleanliness of the park. We would always return while in this area. We camped at Covenant Hills Camp in a Motorhome.

Very nice, quiet campground. All sites have FHU, 20-30-50 amp electric. Very good WIFI (since the park was empty) and several OTA TV signals. We were here mid-week a week after Labor Day so we cannot say what it would be like during the summer but the setting is beautiful, lots of open space throughout the park, very well maintained and clean. There are over 400 sites here and many are pull-through sites. We camped at Covenant Hills Camp in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful park with great people working the desk. I would have given it a 10 overall if it hadn't been for the huge boulders on the corners of the turns. We have a 45' coach and my husband had to make multiple attempts at the turns (by backing up, readjusting, inching his way around the turns) or he would have hit the boulders. Also, the trees hit the top of our RV, so they need to be trimmed.

Other than that, it was a nice park with friendly people. We would stay here again. We camped at Covenant Hills Camp in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It's 60 miles north, but the Dow House in Midland, MI is well worth a tour. It is one of the best house tours we've taken. There is also a very nice telephone/history museum in nearby Montrose.

Overall Rating:

Very quiet, friendly, christian campground sponsored by a Methodist church. They have rules and that's a good thing. If you are the party all night type, this is not the place for you. If you want a quiet, relaxed place with things to do, then you will enjoy this. They have a lake for swimming, canoes, kayaks, rock climbing wall, zip line, confidence course, playgrounds, church, fields for sports...... Sites are grass and gravel and fairly level. I would call the spacing somewhat close but during our stay, the park was not full so there was room between neighbors. Some sites are heavily wooded while others are fairly open for satellite reception. Wifi was kind of clunky but our Verizon 4G worked well. Utilities are solid. Each site has a fire ring and table. We stayed here as a base to visit Frankenmuth which is about a 30 minute drive. There is a local grocery store and "dollar" type store but any serious shopping is about 10 miles away. All in all a good stay. We camped at Covenant Hills Camp in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The price is a monthly rate. The staff is friendly and always working in the park. There are two sections-one for campers and one for groups like bands and football teams. The camping side is mostly locals and a few seasonals, so it is pretty empty during the week. Since there is no alcohol allowed, the park is very quiet. There is a lot to do for families including a large playground for young children, but there is a charge for some activities. The dog park looks as if it were the former children' s playground. There is plenty of space to bike, and there are hiking trails. Verizon signal worked well. TV is antenna only, but some sections do not have trees, so our satellite worked well too. Our site was a level pull-through with plenty of space for our 37' fifth wheel, our truck, and our car. The Internet was out a few days after a storm, bit it worked well most of the time. The bathrooms were clean, although sand tracked in during the day, however there is a slight musty smell. It is higher than we like to pay for a monthly rate, but we have family in the area and like the fact that it is so quiet here. The park is so large and has so much for children, I think it would be a good place to have a family reunion. We will return when in the area. We camped at Covenant Hills Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Passport America discount. Very nice campground. Sites are long enough that you don't have to unhook. They pick up trash at your site every night. Only drawback: no laundry. Lots to do at campground: lake, canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, zipline, climbing tower, athletic fields, horse-drawn wagon ride. MoJoe's Wing House on M-15 between Otisville and Davison is a good place to eat. Nearby is Frankenmuth, with its Bavarian theme, great cheese shops, delicious German food. Bronner's Christmas shop is a must see. Expect to spend a couple of hours there. Premium Outlet Center is a short distance from Frankenmuth. We'd definitely stay here again. We camped at Covenant Hills Camp in a Motorhome.

This a church camp park. Nice people and a lot to do. The lake has inexpensive canoes, kayaks and paddle boats. A blob, see their web site, Is fun. Swimming is good. Archery, rock climbing, zip line play grounds, several, and large fields for sports. Horse drawn wagon rides on Saturday evening. Most sites are level and all is clean! 30 & 50 amp at most sites. Nice place!! At&t is barely usable in some places in park We camped at Covenant Hills Camp in a Motorhome.
