Nice quiet park. Partially shaded with gravel/dirt sites. Easy access from road. A few trees needed trimming for big rigs not hit branches. We camped at Whispering Valley Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Definitely an older park and a lot of apparently permanent residents, but it was good enough. We were there 1 night en route from St. Ignace to Wisconsin. The lady in the office was very sweet and helpful, and the care paid to the landscaping and cleanliness of the park are obvious. I wouldn't necessarily consider this a destination in itself but it was a pleasant spot to spend a rainy night. We camped at Whispering Valley Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This has become the place we stay when we visit the UP of Michigan. Gravel sites, clean grounds and friendly owners. We love the fact it is a campground and not a resort. There are some seasonal campers and the ones we met were very friendly. We camped at Whispering Valley Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is not a resort park, so the cost seems high; has permanent and nightly occupants. The park owners have added flowers and yard art to dress up the sites. We stayed 3 nights, hoping to get to a Pictured Rocks cruise before heading to Door County. Alas, it rained and rained hard, all cruises cancelled, so our day trip didn't develop as we had hoped. The interior roadways are ample to move about. Parking spaces are wide and level gravel/sand. The good news here is that the rain soaked in readily and we had no mud puddles. The camp WIFI worked well for us most of the stay, the host was super gracious. Yes, cigarette smell in the office. Ask to feed the fish! Oh, and the train comes by and blows it's whistle, once a night, but that was the only distraction. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Whispering Valley Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We chose this park because of the comments on RV Park Review and the park's web page and Facebook comments. We were disappointed and didn't find the park nearly as nice as we had expected. The lady in the office was very friendly but the office stunk of cigarette smoke. The park is not very big and there appears to be mostly seasonal campers here. There was road noise when the big trucks used their engine brakes coming into Rapid River. It was okay for a one night stopover but we likely wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Whispering Valley Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice family owned park just off US highway 2, but just far enough off the highway so that there was no highway noise. The site are all sand/gravel and the park is clean and well kept up. As stated in earlier reviews this is a great overnight stop. All the hook-ups worked well. There does not appear to be any cable TV, but there were a few off the air channels available and most sites would offer good satellite access. We camped at Whispering Valley Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rustic park. Utilities worked great, including the Wi-Fi and cable. Gravel and grass spaces. Friendly check-in. Good overnight spot. We would stay here again. We camped at Whispering Valley Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small campground with lots of eclectic (recycled) art between each site. Staff very helpful. While the campground is a bit "tired", our stay was pleasant. We camped at Whispering Valley Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park with cute decorations. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have free Wi-Fi and cable. We were able to get satellite and antenna TV. The campground is 15 miles from Esconaba (shopping and restaurants. They offer no discounts on their rates and although $36 is a little steep it is par for the area. We would stay there again. Wonderful place to stay. The owners make you feel very welcome. We reserved another week over Labor Day weekend. I don't know where the other person only thought there was one 50 amp site; the campground is all 50 amp. We camped at Whispering Valley Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was a wonderful RV Park for an overnight stay. Very quiet, each site is landscaped differently and that was refreshing and cute. Sites were fairly level, easy in and out. The big downfall is the laundry with 1 washer and dryer, we had planned to do laundry that evening and had several loads making it impossible. Would stay here again for overnight. We camped at Whispering Valley Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sites somewhat level, only one 50 amp site in the park. They didn't tell me that on the phone, so when I arrived I could not get 50 amp. WI-FI was not available at the RV had to go to office to use WI-FI, very unhappy about the WI-FI situation. We camped at Whispering Valley Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Solid little campground. All pull throughs with full hookups. Wi-Fi only works at the office. Laundry room has two washers and dryers. Nothing spectacular but nice and clean. Would stay here again. We camped at Whispering Valley Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stay here on a seasonal basis, although this campground has nightly sites available. The campground is well landscaped with each site having it's own Nature theme. All sites are pull through which makes it very Big Rig friendly. The owners are great Host's and welcome you like family. A Trout pond, and two other ponds add interest to your evening walks. You won't find a more friendly campground in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We camped at Whispering Valley Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice little park. Our site was not quite level, but OK. Off the road far enough to be very quiet. Sewer connections at extreme rear of site, so it you are a motorhome towing and don't want to unhook, your sewer hose may not reach. We camped at Whispering Valley Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.
