This campground is either very good or very bad. The good: There is much to do. There is a modestly priced and very nice indoor water park, outside horse back riding, a weekly rodeo and pig roast, several restaurants, and a beautiful golf course. The bad: The restaurants and golf are quite expensive. And, the campground is heavily wooded, making it very difficult for a 43 foot RV like mine to maneuver. There is no WIFI and no cable. It is impossible to get satellite reception. Also, the cell phone coverage is poor. And, most of all, the trees need to be trimmed. It is very frustrating and maddening to scratch up your RV just getting in and out of a campground. This place is so close to being great. There is even a a flat open spot just outside the campground, that could be set up for higher end RV's. If Double JJ wants to bring in higher end campers for their expensive golf and food, they need some higher end camping spots. Until then, it is unlikely we will return. Dusty? Yes. Overpriced? Yes. But the Double JJ is a fun place to stay, and the CG is quite attractive, with lots of shade for most sites (helpful in the summer) Those trees do pose a hazard for larger rigs, though, especially threading through the narrow roads in the campground. Very family-friendly place, the western theme is fun, and there is lots to do. The pool area next to the campground is beautiful, with several fun pools, none too deep, and an awesome waterslide. Horseback riding is plentiful (albeit extra charge), and the rodeo (also extra) is fun. Would consider going again, perhaps for a special occasion. Sites had no grass, they did not spray for dust. Sites are very hard to access if you have a large rig they need to do extensive trimming on trees. Rates are outrageous and include NOTHING. Expect to spend $30+ per-person for access to the waterpark Everything is an additional cost save for the outdoor pool located near the campground. The bathrooms and showers were nice and clean however that's not really enough to ever warrant a trip back here. We camped at Double JJ Resort in a Travel Trailer.Undo

We had a great time here. Lots for the kids to do, very family friendly. Loved the horseback riding and rodeo. A little on the pricey side, so you need to look for coupons or special deals to make it affordable for an entire family. Fantastic water slide that the kids loved. We stayed in the family section for their Haunted Halloween weekend and we loved it. The trick or treating had very sparse participation but the kids with us were really teens anyway so they were not too disappointed. It was fall, and we had almost the entire park to ourselves. We had a wonderful site backed up to some woods and made a roaring fire and made a few snacks, but we opted for the all-you-can eat buffet. We LOVED the food and we had quite a variety of things to choose from. I ate a lot more than usual as we paid for 3 meals a day and it seemed like everytime we turned around it was time to eat again. There were some wildwest shows which were just ok, but I liked the horseback riding as I am a chicken and don't know how, but they found a suitable horse for me to ride...really walk as that was my skill level. The funniest part for me was the halloween activities. We saw a Halloween dinner theatre, and their was a Haunted hay ride that was great along with a spookhouse. If the weather is not too cold, this is a great place to get some last minute camping reservations for the Halloween weekends. We probably should of brought bikes, but didn't. Don't know if it is fun for summer time, but was real fun for the Halloween weekend IF the weather is nice so you can enjoy all the activities. We went with two adults and two teens and loved it. Only thing we did not like was the dogs for sledding did not seem to have adequate shade and care for my taste. I am a dog lover. We paid for all the activities and food in one price so I can't really give a nightly rate but it is pricey...for a splurge. We camped at Double JJ Resort in a Tent Trailer.Undo

We stopped here 1 night to horseback ride. Lots of things for kids but you pay seperately for the pool, games, activities. Campsites were too close together and we felt crowded even though half the sites were empty. Our neighbors had strings of lights all over their site and kept them on 24 hours. (Camper's be considerate that your lights shine through windows at night. Most people want peace and quiet at night, park Hosts should enforce a 10pm lights out except for campfires.) I wouldn't stay beyond 1 day and only for the horseback riding. We camped at Double JJ Resort in a Travel Trailer.Undo
We camped here in a 30 ft travel trailer in Aug 2003. The campground has many activities like
trail rides, a swimming area with a pool with slide and jacuzzi, rodeo, playground. However, everything costs extra. The cost to enter the pool area was $15 a
day per person. It didn't matter if you were just sitting and watching your child, you paid anyway. Kids weren't allowed on trail rides until they took corral
classes which were $25 for 20 minutes of riding. The cost for trail rides is $25 for 45 minutes. They claim the quiet hours are 11-7, however on the 3 nights
we stayed there a group of 4 camp sites staying together were drunk and rowdy till almost 4 a.m. The campground host never did anything about it and they did
not offer us any compensation for our not getting any sleep and keeping the kids up all night. Sites have lots of trees which is nice. Food in the restaurant
is limited. They offer one main dish a night and call it a buffet. One night it was pasta which was cold. The kids pb&j was on bread that was frozen. The only
other option for eating is to go down the road to the ranch restaurant at the golf course where a meal for 4 will easily cost you $60. Town is about 15-20
minutes away. All in all we weren't to happy and would only stay here again if nothing else was available. We camped at Double JJ Resort in a Travel Trailer.
