Overall Rating:

As others have mentioned, this is a City Owned park, and is right on the St. Mary's river. You can see the huge freighters going by from just about any site in the place, but the waterfront sites that are actually about 50 feet back from the waterfront, are best. Sites are very spacious! They do have the Waterfront area grassed and seating is available to sit and watch the freighters. It is adjacent to another park, where you can watch the freighters go by so close, that you can nearly hit them with a rock! All have 30 amp power and water, almost no trees, with a dump site close by. Please be aware that the WATER PRESSURE in this park is 90 PSI, VERY HIGH, so use your pressure reducers! Showers are individual rooms, very nice. Office staff is super friendly. Downtown is only about 1 1/2 mile away. Laundry facility adjacent to the office. One downside... we were there 2 years ago, and during a rainstorm many sites flood, making it difficult to exit your RV. So in 2 years time, nothing has been done to correct this problem. But overall, this is a great park. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Note: Water pressure here is 90 PSI, please be aware!! Tribal casino about 2 miles away, very nice facility! The Great Lakes Shipwreck museum is very interesting, but it's a 75 mile drive one way to get there. Downtown is only 1 1/2 miles away. See the Soo Locks museum downtown, free admission, and you can watch the ships go through. They have the Soo Locks boat tours close by. Very nice tour, and a worthwhile venture.

.Just average county park. Dirt Roads, park on the grass, power and water only with dump station. Good staff, but nothing special about this park. Good for a couple of nights stay while in the area seeing the sights. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Motorhome.

As others have said, this is a nice campground even though there are no sewer hookups. There is a large dump station available. Our site was listed as premium because it was right on the river so you get a great view of the ships heading to and from the locks. We had a back-in site that was level, on grass, sand, gravel and big enough for our 38ft fifth wheel and medium duty truck. People are very friendly here, apparently many camp here every summer so many folks know each other. Don't be surprised if you get invited to a get-together! No pool, campstore, cable, laundry or dog park. We had good cell service and WiFi is available. Would stay here again. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Super nice park in a great location!!! Would be a 10 if they had sewer, but we knew that coming in,stayed a week and had to use the showers. They were nice and clean. WIFi is not great, but T mobile worked great. Staff was very easy to deal with. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Motorhome.

Lots to do downtown, worth a walk!!! Stay out of the casinos,no good. Cruise the coast and check out the light houses. Great Ship Wreck museum is well worth the drive. Download the Findship app and keep up with the boats on the river. Not really worth the drive to Canada, not sure they like us!!! If you do must have passport.

Wonderful city campground right on the Saint Mary's River. We were on second row and watched ship traffic going back and forth. The only drawback, no sewer hook up. Most sites are hard stand, compressed gravel, dirt grass. Good power and water pressure. Couple of minutes drive down to Soo Locks Boat Tour and Antlers Family Restaurant. Recommend both of these. Wal Mart and Meijer Stores about 15 minutes away. We would definitely comeback here. We did not use the bath facility but looked at them and they were clean and useable. They have wifi, but can be a little weak, my verizon is one to two bars. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Motorhome.

Well I had reserved two sites. When I arrived one of the sites had been canceled by someone other than me. lucky I did not need the other site because my traveling companion had to go home. To make matters worse there was already someone in the wrongly canceled spot. These people are crooks. Well they did say no refunds but they do not say they will rent your deposited site to someone else. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Motorhome.

We checked in the afternoon following a major rain event - the entire campground had large areas of standing water. Our initial site was unusable, so the manager gave us a one nighter to get us on dry ground. We then stayed out our time in site #45. Close to the office and decent wi-fi. The park needs some real grading work to eliminate the water drainage issues. The electrical posts in many cases are in standing water following a heavy rain. The 30 amp breaker on site 45 will not provide full 30 amp - more like 20-25 and then trips under load. Water pressure is very good and dump station is well designed with stations for entry and exit. We will stay again - not many choices, so best of the bunch. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a big park with one trash bin. Roads are gravel, most sites are on grass and only defined by the location of the utilities. Our site and others were a sloshy, muddy mess after rain. Very few 50 amp, no sewer; dump station is not in the campground but next door near the boat ramp. Only one building of bathrooms next to the office; really not ample for this big park. Campground is full of people with barking dogs, multiple children running wild and I have no confidence there is anyone in management that would monitor behaviors according to the park rules. In the office, a mother was working with her teenage son and elementary age daughter in there with her. She acted like I was an inconvenience and spoke only to them. She didn't even offer a map of the campground, I had to ask for one. Very sloppy operation. You have to want to come here real bad to stay here. I would not return; I'd rather drive 50 miles to see the locks and stay in a comfortable park. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Motorhome.

Newer shower/bath/laundry facility. Beautiful views of St Mary's river and ships. All sites had W/E. They had a dump station. Had to ask neighbor to move their truck as we couldn't make our pivot point while backing in-we have a 45ft MH. Otherwise it was easy to navigate through the park. Picnic tables were worn out, playground equipment was from the 60's. Grass sites now as any gravel they had is all buried deep in the ground. Very wet-standing water at sites after a heavy rain-pour drainage at many sites but no one got stuck. The fish flies (aka May flies) were horrible. Used our leaf blower to get them off the door, vents, slides, etc. They said they've had them all summer, very unusual. Friends at Soo Locks CG said they weren't as bad there. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Motorhome.

This cg features level grassy sites with a view of St Mary River and passing lake freighters. Drainage is poor, so sites remain quite wet following rain. We even noticed some campers that appeared to be "marooned." Our water connection was almost 100' away, but friendly cg staff loaned us a 50' hose, so all was well. Second time we've stayed here close to July 4th. Not as busy as in 2015. Very nice campground because of the view of the river and passing freighters. Easy to navigate for big rigs, some sites easier to get into than others. Site 40 is supposed to be a pull-thru but it has to be backed into. The other pull-thru sites are probably the same. Some areas are swampy for days after rain. Only real negative for us is that they advertise wifi but it's useless even with the place only half full. There are now 50 amp sites we didn't know about but would get next time. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice municipal CG right on the St. Marys River, which is part of the St. Lawrence Seaway...which means you get to watch large Great Lakes freighters cruise right by at close distance! Not much in way of trees here, but there is decent spacing between sites. Interior roads are paved and easily maneuvered, and sites are packed gravel and level. All sites are water/electric only, but they have a 2-lane, readily accessible dump station. Bathroom and shower facilities very nice and well maintained, with private lockable shower rooms. There is a laundry but no camp store. They have WiFi with decent signal, but was always too overloaded for our use. However, Verizon signal here is very good. Grounds are nicely maintained. Getting reservations can be a little time-consuming, as they are by phone only, and required a bit of phone tag to get live person. We did not have any rain here, so did not have standing water issues mentioned in other reviews. Would definitely stay again if in area. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
