This park has a power problem where we lost power intermittently. We reported this to the owner who was completely unconcerned and blamed it on the heat (evenings were in the 60s and the problem still persisted). Other staff told us that this is a known problem. The lake and beach is nice for children. Staff were very courteous but the owner seems to be unconcerned with the power problem. Cost way too high for site. Would never return here. We camped at Crystal Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This campground promises a lot and does not deliver. They say they have WiFi but my campsite did not. I had water hook-up but the water is horrendous. It is orange and smells bad. I didn't dare use it for anything. The weekend I was there, it was busy and most campsites had campfires. The tree cover prohibits the smoke from escaping and fresh air becomes non-existent. The smoke just hangs in the air, below tree top level. This is extremely unhealthy and dangerous for people with COPD and asthma. The people next door, told me that at busy times, they have power blackouts. It is also obvious that rules are only enforced if convenient for the owner or workers. I didn't find the owners or workers to be either helpful or friendly. It's nice that it is on a lake (with two names), but the lake is small and quite busy. I will not return to this campground in the future. We camped at Crystal Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

While making our reservations the clerk was friendly, and assured us of the site we selected on their site map would be available and reserved for us, full hook up 50 amp service. Upon arrival we were then told that they reserve the right to switch our site reservation at their discretion, which they did, with no notification " even had a sign in the office". States this nowhere on there website, nor were they honest about it on the phone. They placed us in a site that was not deep enough to accommodate my trailer, the nose was near the edge of the road, having to park my truck in the camp area of the site. Plus the site was right next to the bathroom and showers, some would like a site that close to the restrooms, but this was the only facilities in the park. They were filthy the entire 7 day stay, we think we seen one person go in the restrooms twice only, for the entire week. To top it all off, they had a golf cart kinda vehicle hauling around a waste pump trailer stinking up the park everywhere to many of the sites because the septic hook ups were not working, DAILY. Also during the reservation time on the phone I requested 50 amp service, the park only has 30 amp only, another out right lie from the clerk. Even the seasonals had nothing good to say about the park, or the owners that we spoke with. If you must stay in the Ludington , Scottville MI area I would save yourself the grief and find another campground, this one STINKS, literally. We camped at Crystal Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Good overall experience. Nice Beach. Way too many seasonals who think they own the park. Campsite #34 seasonals were trying to pick a fight with us. They appear to have mental issues. Would recommend if there were less seasonals. We camped at Crystal Lake Campground in a Tent Trailer.

This campground is very wooded; 95% of the sites are completely shaded, which means the ground is sandy not grassy. Most of the sites are incredibly small. We have a 25' travel trailer with a slide-out and awning. We were given a 20' wide by 30' deep site. By the time we opened our slide out and awning we were over the boundaries of our site. When our neighbor pulled into his site he had to move over quite a bit so he wasn't under our awning. Aside from the tightness and cramped feeling of the campground, it was clean and quiet; had a nice beach with boat rentals; camp store with games and ice cream; hosted a pig roast/pot luck. We would probably not camp here again as we prefer to have more room on our sites. We camped at Crystal Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very Shady Campground. Owners and seasonal campers all were very friendly. Close to State Parks. Good size lake and they have several different types of rental boats as well as nearby boat launch. We camped at Crystal Lake Campground in a Motorhome.
