There are 3 50 amp sections in the campground. One is for long term residents, the second is an open, field area, and the third consists of several tight pull through sites in which individual rigs are pulled in facing alternating opposite directions. We started in the field area, but after rain our front yard turned into a pond, so when we had a chance we moved to a 30 amp site near the Activity Center. This site was fine, although with I94 about 300 yards away the sound of the traffic was pretty much non-stop. There are other areas of the campground that might have worked better for us. Some of the 30 amp back in sites near the pull throughs could have worked - and they are farther from the Interstate. Good sites are hard to find because so much of the campground has been sold to seasonal residents. Most often these sites have RVs on them, but no one is at home. Our only other primary issue in the campground was the poor condition of the water which is very rusty. I went through two of our whole house water filters in about 9 days. One of these filters often lasts me two months. Aside from these issues we found the campground staff to be good folks who want to make members' stays enjoyable. The facilities are dated but clean. The pool is nice and slated to be updated during the off season. Roads are typical Thousand Trails roads with a nice, paved entry road and then, once you are in the campground not so good. The road back to our first campsite, in particular was very rough and even worse, one way without any warning of oncoming traffic. The campground is near lots of shopping and eating places. I had a cell signal that fluctuated between 3G and 4G. Campground WiFi is available and works if you are a very patient person. We camped at St Clair--Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We especially enjoyed the Henry Ford Museum. Also it was nice going to nearby St. Clair and watching the big ships on the river, traveling between Lake Erie and Lake Huron.

The park was not as expected based on their website. At one time the place was probably very nice but it has gone down hill. Many pot holes in the road, sites are gravel/grass and many had low spots causing to have standing water when it rains. The park was not very well maintained, the staff was friendly when checking in, however, when we asked about other amenities like exercise room, etc that were advertised we found out they no longer are available. We had full hookup, however, there was no WiFi and the TV coverage was very limited. Would not stay here again. We camped at St Clair--Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

You are 45 minutes from the Henry Ford museum and the Greenfield village in Dearborn, MI. Port Huron is 10 miles away as well as the bridge into Canada.

The rate for this park for us should be $0 as we are members of Thousand Trails. The guard shack was not manned and the arm was down to prevent entrance. We called the number listed on the window and were there for over half an hour. Our call went to voicemail. The mailman finally told him there were two rigs seeking admittance. The lady checking us in said they never got the message which was strange. She told us of several open places and that was helpful. We stayed here because it was close to Dearborn and safe. It was mostly quiet and the people running the office were friendly and helpful. We were told the arm was broken so they left it up all the time. Our last night there the pump on the water for the park went out. We expected it to be out overnight but it was only a few hours. Kudos for that. Water pressure was quite low. I would stay here again and will recommend it to others. We camped at St Clair--Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

It is an hours drive to Dearborn to see the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield. There is also a tour of the Ford plant but we did not go there. It is a fun drive to go to Canada from there.

As typical of Thousand Trails campgrounds, we were given available spots that would fit our trailer. We happened to find the first one that wasn't muddy or closed in. Sites are dirt with some gravel. FHU, PTH. Buddy sites. Pool, clubhouse, dog park, laundry, WIFI in clubhouse. The other "activities" seem like they haven't been used in years. We camped at St Clair--Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay here. We came here after discovering Bear Cave, MI (SW corner) had insufficient cell signal/internet for us to work (we full-time and work from our coach) so drove 5 hours the next day to get to St Clair. A much nicer campground, staff much more friendly and accommodating, better sites, less mosquitoes and excellent cell/WIFI jetpack coverage with 4 bars LTE (Verizon). Also much more to do in the local area than we imagined - Port Huron, Blue Water lakeside walk, short drive into Canada (Ontario), Marine City, Henry Ford Museum and much more. We initially planned to stay 2 weeks but extended to stay the maximum allowable of 21 nights under our membership. Pool is nice cold though even in July!) no hot tub. Has Mini golf but we didn't use. Spacious sites, gravel, fairly level. Less than 10 mins to amenities like supermarket, lake, river etc. Really enjoying our time here and would definitely return. We camped at St Clair--Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take a drive to Canada, visit the cute towns of Marine City, Maryville and St Clair. Visit the Henry Ford Museum. OK to have packages delivered to office.

Member price on reservation. Staff had paperwork ready upon arrival. Directed us to two available pull-through sites with full 50 amp hookups for our choice. Site was gravel and fairly level. Sites are well managed which is different from other TT parks. Roads were good and we got good satellite reception. Rained heavily while we were there, but good drainage and not muddy on our site. Did not go into store and lodge, but looked well kept. The pool appeared to be very nice. I would look forward to staying here again and recommend it. We camped at St Clair--Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Park not well maintained. Pool closed. Adult lodge locked and covered with cobwebs. Lots of "permanent trailers" which looked dumpy. Noise from near by freeway. Not impressed. We camped at St Clair--Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Fairly typical Thousand Trails Preserve - could be super, but needs some attention. Park was nearly full for Labor Day weekend, so thing were busy. Family Center, showers, restrooms, roads all need to be maintained better. Pretty nice location for a day trip to Detriot/Dearborn attractions. Close to excellent little St. Clair and the big ships on the river. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We camped at St Clair--Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

This park could use some upgrading as it seems to show it's years, but it was still a nice place to stay. Pool area was very nice and seemed like a fairly large pool. Wi-Fi only at the lodge area but was good. Not a lot of seasonals here but the ones that are, were kept up well. We will return here. We camped at St Clair--Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here as a non member. The park is decent. Different sections of the park offer open sites or sites with lots of trees. All sites are dirt or gravel and fairly level. The facilities and utilities are dated but seem operational. This is a pick your site park, you drive in, pick a site and register at the office. The pool is a good size and in good condition. Wi-Fi is available at the club house. No cable but a few of the Detroit stations came in clear over the air. Overall, we enjoyed it here. For $30 a night, it is a good value. We will return. We camped at St Clair--Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Our rate is based on a Passport America discount, which surprised us when we were looking for a campground to spend a few days in. The pull through sites can be close together, and they alternate direction so you are looking at your neighbors steps and awnings. There are a few sites that have a bigger distance between them, but they are few in numbers. All of the pull through sites are 50 amp, and all of the back-in sites are 30 amp. The back-in sites are plentiful with many having a good distance between RV's. There is a very large pool to enjoy. The staff is very friendly. This campground is off the highway and noise is not a problem. If we travel in this direction again we would stay at this campground. We camped at St Clair--Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

We are not members of Thousand Trails so we paid full price. The pool was very nice and the laundry room was excellent, bright and clean; and a real bargain. The park has lots of trees, making satellite reception impossible in our space. Antenna reception was horrible also and my WI-FI modem wouldn't work. Internet access is possible at the club house. There is a horrible mosquito problem in the treed area, and you are given a hand-out warning about West-Nile Virus at check-in. Walking the dog in the evening was difficult with the insects and there is no lighting. The employees were wonderfully nice and helpful. I would stay here again if I could get a better space. We camped at St Clair--Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our first visit to this park, although we heard good things about it from friends beforehand. We were very pleased with this pretty park. It is on the smaller side, but still has plenty to do to keep busy with. We played pickleball and swam and used the family lodge. There is an adult only lodge that we did not use. Our site was on the shorter side but we had plenty of space on both sides. The staff was very friendly. The surrounding area offers plenty to do and it is within driving distance to Detroit activities. We camped at St Clair--Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Very pleasant campground with a choice of heavily shaded trees or open areas. We chose the trees and unlike some campgrounds the ground underfoot wasn't wet and soggy under the trees. Easy access and good place to explore Detroit, Port Huron, etc., although it was a fair drive to Detroit. We camped at St Clair--Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.
