Best park in the area for a view of Lake Michigan and the Mackinac Bridge. The arrangement of power, water and sewer on the sites that overlook the lake are "interesting" and they work. The buses drive straight in so the front of the bus faces the lake. The 5th wheels and other trailers back in so the back window faces the lake. This means the RV electrical, water and sewer maybe facing each other. This solved with multiple sewer hookups as well as dual water connections. The sites were close but it did not distract from the view. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice place. View of Lake Michigan. Quiet. Spaces fairly tight, but do-able. Best part of staying here is free shuttle to and from Mackinac Island. Just call a half hour ahead of time and it picks you up. Walk to the lake shore for pretty sunsets. Extra charge for A/C and electric heater is a bit much. Good laundry. Overall a pretty, peaceful park. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Just an ordinary RV campground, only one place with any sort of view of the lake , site 208. All the rest are blocked by tall trees. Ask for discount. Fine for over night stays. No pool, nothing special, few minutes drive to boats to take you over to Mackinac Island. Which is a VERY busy place in the down town area. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

We were going to stay several nights, but this park was fairly crowded and the spaces were very close together. There was a $3 daily extra charge for running your a/c or electric heat. Very cheesy. The view of the Makinaw Bridge is very good, and the access to the lake is easy. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Price is average for weekly rate - - pay for six nights and get seventh night free. We enjoyed our stay at this very nice park. Not much in the way of amenities (restrooms/showers and laundry) but a great location for exploring the Mackinac Island area. Easy access for any size rig. Many sites have view of Lake Michigan and water and sewer hookups on both sides, so motorhomes can pull in and towables can back in. Some trees, but satellite reception should be possible in most locations. Sites are fairly level gravel/grass with fair spacing between sites. WiFi worked well most of the time. Friendly, family run operation. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It is about 10-15 minutes to the Mackinac Island ferries in St. Ignace. Parking is available at the docks, or they will pick you up at the RV park if you call.

We arrived with reservations for site 104, in the front row, but we left. The view of the lake was not all that great, thanks to the trees on the other side of the road, and that treeless row looked more like an RV storage lot than an RV park. We explained our disappointment to the very nice owners and we left. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park across a quiet street to Lake Michigan. Great views of the lake and Mackinaw bridge. Clean laundry and store with few RV supplies. Boat companies that go to Mac Island pick you up at campground. The people in the area call St Ignace the quiet side and I'd have to agree. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Weak Wi-Fi, no fire pit, and they charge you for using your own A/C unit. Will never be coming back to this campground again. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Truck Camper.

Fairly level gravel/grass site. We were on the second row and able to pull through, and had a view of the lake when no one parked in front row. Clean bathrooms. Our site had a tree, so it was somewhat narrow. Rate was for staying a week. Very friendly owners and campers. Dog was able to swim in the lake, and retrieve behind the camper. Additional cost for A/C, but it was cool enough that it was not needed. Convenient to St Ignace and surrounding area. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Ours was a full hookup site overlooking Lake Michigan. We could see the large ships carrying cargo passing through the Mackinaw Straits. A little pricey but worth it. We will stay here again. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

This park exemplifies what sets a really nice parks apart from just a nice park. It is family owned and operated, has friendly & efficient staff, well kept grounds, spacious & level sites with hook ups on both sides allowing you to either pull in or back in, a super nice view especially if you are on the front or second row overlooking Lake Michigan, a small park on the lake's edge with a beautiful view of the Mackinaw Bridge, a well stocked camp store and last but not least are the very competitive rates especially for this time of year and all the amenities provided. We will NEVER stay anywhere else in this area. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent stop for a visit to Mackinac Island. The front row of sites has great water views. Other sites not so much. Maneuvering room can be tight depending on how others park their cars and trucks. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice and quiet park with great views of the Straits and the Mackinac bridge if you walk down to the water. Our stay was wonderful. People are helpful and take care of the place. Well kept with few if any seasonals. Not a place for kids who need to be entertained. We used this CG for our home base while exploring the UP and Mac City and the Island. I did check but did not use the bathrooms and they did have cobwebs and spiders which would be expected near water but could have been a bit cleaner. $ 2 per day charge for AC which we did not use due to cool temps. Cell reception was very good, 4 or 5 local over-air channels. No camp store but there is laundry which is clean and very reasonable. Ice and wood are available, however. Sites are very level and ours did not require any leveling at all but they are a bit narrower than I prefer with everyone having slides. Front sites seemed narrower than back ones which also had more grass than front ones. If you do not have a Motorhome, bring an extension cord for your power which needs to go under RV to pedestal. TT and FW need to back in and power is on the other side. Motorhomes just pull in and the pedestal is on the proper side for them. Water and sewer have multiple outlets on both sides so that is no issue. I could have stayed a month. So much to do in the areas and it was wonderful. Suzy's Pasties are the best and are a few minutes away. I would have rated it a 10 if there was a small store, cable for the rainy nights and a bit more room between sites. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice sized grassy, shaded sites overlooking Lake Michigan in a family-owned quiet park away from yet convenient to the tourist town. Great place for day trip to Mackinac Island. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.
