This is a decent RV park with a lovely view of the Straits. Registration area is tight and not level. Staff was friendly and helpful. Roads are hard pack dirt and a bit tight. Sites are grass, mostly level and a bit tight. Picnic table, some sites had fire pits. The utilities worked fine. No cable. Didn't try OTA. The first two rows are satellite friendly, the third row is shady and hit or miss. The internet was excellent. The restrooms are old and uninviting, but clean. Big rigs are best suited to the back half of the second row, starting around 215. Cell service was good. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

The bridge will cost you $4 each way for car, $5 per axle for RV. Across the road in front of the RV park is beach access. Great place to relax and enjoy the sunsets.

This is a nice, smaller campground with a great location close to St. Ignace and right across the road from Lake Michigan, with its own small, rocky beach. Sites in the front row are close together and have a great view of the lake. The other sites are long pull-through, gravel and grass, and all have full hookups. Wifi was often weak. Bathrooms, showers and laundry room were large and clean. Office staff was very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground served as an excellent base camp to explore the surrounding area. The sites were fairly level, the views were breath taking and the wifi was strong. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice campground right on the shore of Lake Michigan. We had a big pull-through spot with plenty of room for our car. It rained all day one day but sites drained well. Plenty to do in this area. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

This was a nice park, close to St. Ignace but away from the main drag. It was a convenient base from which to see Macinac Island. Using a/c costs an extra $3/day. We were warned upon check-in that the internet may or may not work; it didn't. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Big rigs might have difficulty here. Mostly, this RV park was full of large fifth wheels and travel trainers; there were few large motorhomes. Spaces are fairly close together so trying to get a big rig in here could be difficult. If you get the front row, you get an ocean view but you also get much more wind and noise. However, if you park in the back you get a lot more lawn, it is quiet, but no lake view.

Stayed at Lakeshore Campground for a week. Pleasant accomodations and a very beautiful view. Staff was very pleasant. The only negative was the strength of the wi-fi. I could not get a very good reception. Other than that, I would recommend this campground and would stay there again. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This could be a nice park if it got some TLC. The spot we had was level and the place was quiet. The bathrooms are old, which is okay, but they were filthy. Showers curtain were unraveling, floors needed resurfacing and were dirty, mildew in showers and on ceilings, light fixtures full of bugs. This is a family owned park and reflects a lack of pride in ownership. Nice walk across the street to the water with a rocky beach. This is our first night of a two night stay. We had a shade tree and lots of grassy area behind the coach. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

We previously stayed at this park 18 years ago. We love the view. The sites looking into the Lake Michigan is magnificient. However, even on holidays, we must communicate with family and tenants and internet is not working. The family knows and don't seem in a hurry to fix the problem. When we asked if we had internet, she answered if it is working.

In 2016, internet is a must have.

We did not tow our pickup on this trip. There are sites for pull-thru available, but they do not have the view. Sites are tight. Our neighbors traveled through our site to go back and forth: never apologised. They walked between our table and our front door. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

The owner is so sweet, but this campground is tired and really needs some TLC. The bathrooms are in really bad shape. We had a campsite right next to the gazebo/restroom building, which also doubles as a walkway. This means that when designing the campground, they did not allow for walkways in the entire park, so on a full weekend, everyone walks through everyone else campsite. It is the tackiest thing I have ever seen. I literally ran a rope across our site to prevent trespassing, and teenagers simply stepped over the rope and walked around our stuff. The location is very convenient to town. We honestly stayed here because everything else was booked and the price was less than other places. Would not come back unless they renovate the campsites. It's hard because it doesn't seem like there are many great campgrounds in this area. But the access to the Mackinac Island ferries are great. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects the 7 nights for 6 rate, there is a $2 reduction if you pay cash on a nightly basis. This family owned park is a rustic campsite but in a perfect position overlooking Lake Michigan and close to the Mackinac Bridge. We had a second row pull thru but still had a view of the lake. Roads and site gravel with grass between. Sites mainly spacious. Restrooms clean but need refurbishment. Very friendly owners, good antenna reception. Wifi either excellent or non excitant but understand this is a work in progress. Easy access from I-75 but no highway noise and very quiet at night. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Owner was friendly and full of lots of suggestions for what we should see and had lots of brochures with information available. Had site facing the Mackinac bridge and could watch the large ships come under the bridge. Very nice. Site was somewhat level and had picnic table. Showers and bathrooms were OK, could use some updating. Location was great for seeing sights in the area. We had swarming back flies (they call them midgies) for our entire stay so we could not even go outside as they were swarming. Nothing deterred them at all. St. Ignace is great place to drive around and see the sites. Was close to locks as well for day trip. Had bad breaker upon arrival but the maintenance person fixed it right on the spot without having us move to another site. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

First, you could not ask for any better location for an RV park. The view is outstanding, easy to get to, and close to St. Ignace and "the bridge". And oh yes, the older lady representing herself as one of the owners was very nice. Down hill from there. Starting with the restrooms and showers...they are not cleaned everyday and not sure how often. We were there for three days and I know they were not cleaned, unless you call emptying the trash can as cleaning. Shake out the spiders, daddy longs, and other crawlers from the shower curtains before entering is not what I pay nearly $50 a nite to put up with. Sinks and toilet bowls are stained beyond recoverable and the dirt and spider webs on the ceiling are disgusting. You shower hoping that one crawler does not decide to let go! The grass? I understand the husband has been ill but there was a son living there. So why the long grass, uh...dandelion? Is that not helping the mosquito population? And last, I'm one of those characters that likes to leave a campground with my 40' home near as clean as when I came in. We drive in on a rainy day. I drove out of the park with whitewall tires on account of what I think to be sandstone that they use for their roads/driveway gravel. Why would/does any park use such soft rock? As I stated at the beginning, perfect location for an RV park. Unfortunately Lakeshore is in need of a massive cash injection! This park deserves no more than a 3.5 based on the overall cleanliness of the park...no more than a 4.5 on account of its location and views. We will not return to Lakeshore without massive improvements. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Lakeshore Park is not a fancy park. With some work, it could be a nice park but it's definitely not there. It is located in a neighborhood on a road that parallels Route 2. There are woods between the two roads but it doesn't seem to help mitigate the road noise from Route 2. When we checked in, we were given the password for the Wi-Fi and the dreaded warning "when it works". I'm sure you've guessed that meant that the Wi-Fi never worked. Ever. We were also informed that if we wanted to use the A/C it would be an additional $3.00 a day. What?? The sites are mostly dirt with a little gravel and sparse grass around. We had to block our front tires to get level. There are some trees around but most sites are out in the open. Neighbors are close. It would be nice if the sites towards the back were terraced so they still have a decent water view when the sites in the front are full. There are little "window" views of Lake Michigan as there are lots of trees. The water is full of minerals and even with our water filters it left spots. It wasn't crowded when we were there but I imagine it could feel claustrophobic if it were. We would not stay here again. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It's an easy 5 minute drive to downtown and parking was not an issue when we visited. There is a small sitting area across the street down by the lake. The seats are not comfortable but the view is great. We also discovered a nice bike ride. If you turn left out of the park and take the next right (about ½ mile), the ride goes along the lake until you get up near the Mackinac bridge.

Pulled in for a one night stop over, as we pulled in the owner was visiting with some guests by the office. She held the door open and welcomed us in. Very friendly! Our site was level and plenty long. We had full hookups and all worked well. About 6-8 TV channels on antenna. Nice view of the Mackinaw bridge and ships passing by. Nice quiet place to sleep. No real activities for kids. There is a shelter house for guests to use. Very easy in/out with our long rig. Close to St. Ignace tourist area, you need bikes or drive, as it is to far to walk downtown. We will stay here again. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.
