Stayed 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. Sites up on "the Plateau" were close but not terrible. Sites in older parts of the park seemed to have more room. There are some excellent sites in the sections under the trees and some of these have lake views. "The Plateau" is the newest section and probably the least desirable of them all. We had W/E/S/C. Facility is clean and easy to get in and out. Very big rig friendly. One thing that seemed very strange was the placement of the fire rings. They are located toward the front of the sites and right on the "line" between the sites. I thought a fire ring belonged to our site and we didn't plan a fire so I wasn't worried about parking close. I actually had to move my rig after the first night because it turns out it was the neighbor's ring. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Sleeping Bear, Traverse City, and other area attractions.

We drove in without a reservation during the height of the season, and they found a spot for us. The park is beautiful, with a nice pond and wetland with trails. It was easy to walk our dogs right by our site, and they provide bags that are easy to find in many places. We didn't use any of the park's other features, as we only stayed one night, but we would return again. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Everything a park should be. Tbe older section is treed, but has good cable. The newer section is wide open with spacious sites. The laundry is top notch. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful park. This is some kind of membership park. Most of the lake sites were taken with seasonal or airstream rentals. I think most of the transients are placed on the "Ridge" or "Plateau" sites. We were in the "Plateau" sites and we were pleased. Sites are spaced nicely with a nice green space in between the roads. Friendly employees and a nicely managed park. Only negative, as usual is the wifi. Great place to walk or jog. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We drove to Sleeping Bear Dunes and a drive out to Old Mission State Park. The drive out to Old Mission was very scenic. Lots of cherry orchards, vineyards and wineries. If you're in good shape climb the dunes.

We stayed in the newer section in a pull-through site. All sites in this section are generously spaced and are well landscaped, however, the trees are still young and don't provide any shade. All grounds were well maintained. Easy in and easy out of camp sites. (Not sure about exact rate) We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Previous reviews describe layout of park. It is beautiful and folks are so nice. They asked us which site did we prefer: shady or open, so we had a choice. We were on the "plateau" and there were medium sized trees and large lots of grass between sites. We enjoyed our stay, close enough to Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes and Lelaneu Peninsula for day trips. Great wi-fi and good Verizon service. Had good spot for our satellite, but the park offers cable TV service too. The laundry facilities were spotless and many machines, both large ones and regular ones. We were there for 6 days and happy we had selected this park from the many available. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you have the extra day, go 30-40 minutes west to the Sleeping Bear Dunes Park; take the loop drive to see the spectacular views of dunes and Lake Michigan. If you have more time, continue north to Leland and enjoy the fish dinners at the restaurants there. It's a neat fishing village, we enjoyed the smoke lake trout from Carlens.

I loved this park! We spent 8 nights here and didn't want to leave. We stayed in the wooded sites and it was beautiful. These people really know how to run a campground! The only reason I did not give it a 10 was because of the road noise. However, our huge site and with beautiful scenery more than made up for it. Staff was all awesome! We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is beautiful park nestled into the south end of a lake with lots of trees, level sites, and very good roads. The Wi-Fi is excellent. The cable, store, and facilities are quite good. This is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in but your experience will depend on the space you are assigned. Most of the best are for long termers, but all are quite good though less so as you get farther from the lake and closer to the main highway. (By the way, the long term residents are vacationers and their sites are well kept and everyone is friendly.) There is access for boats, a beach, wildlife, and lots of kids enjoying the season. We would stay here again, even drive out of our way to get here. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nicest park we have stayed in although our site was on the "plateau" with little landscaping/young trees. It would not be easy or even possible to get a satellite signal in the wooded area sites. I walked through and didn't see a single dish set up. Very well kept and the staff went out of their way to be courteous even down to the guy doing maintenance stopping to answer a question and talk about .the history of the park. It used to be an Airstream only members park but now welcome all types. All of the seasonal sites are well kept and very neat. Although we didn't use the restrooms or showers they were being cleaned at least daily. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We asked for a satellite site and were put in the back section. It was nice and open. Gravel sites but clean with grass between sites and level. This is a beautiful park with tree areas and an open area. The beach is very pretty for swimming. There are a lot of seasonal people here but their sites are lovely. Good location for getting into town but out of town enough to be relaxing. We enjoyed our stay enough that we would consider coming here for the season. Good areas for dog walking. Verizon data and voice was good. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Easy entrance, great interior roads. Easy, friendly check-in. Nice park, lots of trees and grass except on the plateau, which is the spaces above 200. These spaces have small new trees and mowed weeds and are the newest spaces. Utilities worked great, including the Wi-Fi. We would stay here again but I would request a space other that 200+. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for the first 2 weeks of August and were very happy with this RV Park. Management and staff were very friendly, the sites were roomy, the water pressure was great, allowing us to take comfortable showers! The electric and cable also worked great and we were able to use the WIFI with no problem even though we were located almost as far away from the office as possible. This campground is kept very clean and well maintained. Hwy 31 is a very busy road and does run along 1 side of the campground but road noise was only occasionally noticeable and not a problem at night. The lake access is limited and there are not a lot of lake front sites and those go quickly. Being on the lake would have been nice but wasn't really a make or break deal for us. We made reservations in February for August and the campground already was running out of available sites, so if planning to stay here make your reservations early. We camped here in a motorhome with a towed vehicle and had plenty of room for both on our site. All the campground roads were paved and the sites were gravel and level. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice camp ground with many plusses. Paved access roads, level sites, lots of space between rows of campsites, great Verizon signal, plenty of dog walking areas etc. The only changes that we would suggest are lower sewer connections a tad and put on screw in connectors. Also a bath house up in the plateau area would be super. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The web site for this park is misleading, as most of this park is not on the water but instead is in an open field surrounded by barbed wire. We were very disappointed in our spot on the Plateau, as it was surrounded by busy service roads and was right up against a storage facility. It appears that only the club members get the spots shown on their web site. Make sure you find out which site you are getting as their cancellation policy is seven days prior to arrival. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Park is very well maintained. They have sites in the woods, near the water and out in the open. Most of the wooded and water sites are for seasonals but it seemed there were a few open ones for transients. Most non-seasonals stay in the "plateau" area which is away from the Highway 31 noise, with most sites out in the open. Sites here are pull-through and much larger in length and width. Interior roads are paved and sites are gravel and level. Free cable is provided with a large number of channels. Wi-Fi is free and was very fast during our stay. Park is within 7 miles of downtown Traverse City and very near large shopping areas. Very nice park. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
