Price reflects seasonal rate. This is our third summer staying here. This is a tale of two camp grounds. The old part of the campground is nestled in the woods with lots of shade and some sites are on Silver Lake. The campsites in this part of the park are mostly owned (longtime lease with the park) by individuals and are not open to overnight campers unless the owner is not using the site. The new part of the park is on the flat west of the lake. Several trees have been planted in this part of the park, but will take several years before they are as tall as they are in the other part of the park. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. There is little road noise as the sites are quite far from US31. The park is well maintained and very clean. Garbage is picked up twice daily and there are several cans situated around the park. The park is dog friendly although here is no dog run, but there are many open areas where you can walk your dog on a leash. The cable offers around 59 channels and is clear. The wifi is better than most, but is still very slow. I had a very strong signal with my Verizon wireless. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground that is owned by 125 of the seasonal campers. They occupy the prime sites right on the lake but do rent them out when they aren't there. There are other basic sites available in other newer areas of the park but try for one of the sites in one of the circles by the lake. We were there late in the season and most of the owner's sites were available. Very clean, well manicured park. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You can bike and walk around in this large campground but it is located on a busy road so no option to bike there. Try dinner at Harringtons in traverse city. Lots of great dining and shopping options on Front St in downtown TC. Great wineries to try on Old Mission Peninsula, Bonobo is a new winery owned by Carter Oosterhouse of HGTV. Black Star Winery is a must visit, beautiful property, good wine and dining. Plan day trips to sleeping bear sand dunes, Leland, lunch at the Cove in Fishtown.

We stayed here at the end of the season, so it was kind of quiet. We did not have a lake site, but did go over there to check it out. This is a very nice, well cared for park. The front & lake sites are wooded, the newer area is open with young trees. The spots were decent sizes. The wifi was good, but the park was not crowded. We had good cell service- Verizon. The location of this park was good for sightseeing in Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Charlevoix, Petowsky. They had a large laundry room with plenty of washers & dryers & reasonably priced. We would definitely return if in the area. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Very nice campground off Rte 31. Easy check-in, friendly staff and nice campstore, but very basic. Sites were large, and extremely well groomed, and level. Convenient trash disposal in each section. Great campground for biking or walking. Many seasonal here, but they keep their sites beautifully! Nice playgrounds throughout the park. Nice lake beach, easy to go boating or kayaking. No problem with satellite despite being in a semi wooded area. Cable was good, as was Wi-Fi. Many activities and stores cl I see by including Interlochen Golf Club, which was a very nice course, and 2 Casinos. Good laundry facilities. Many places to eat and shop. Very nice campground! We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a good park. We spent 2 weeks here and were very pleased. Site was plenty long and wide. The back end was higher than the rest of the site, so had to pull forward more than I wanted to, but it worked out. Utilities are fine and well positioned. Cable TV was adequate and better than most. Biggest negative is the WIFI. It is intermittent and generally not reliable. This section of the park is open to the sky, so satellite reception is good. Most of the park is in the trees, so satellites would not be accessible. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Drive up the Mission Peninsula and check out the wineries; dine at Jolly Pumpkin. Good breweries around. Visit Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and drive up to Leland and Northport.

Very nice park - well maintained, great landscaping and spacious sites. We were in site 1 and were the closest site to the main road and some residual road noise - but it slowed down at night and wasn't a problem for us. There are many sites located away from the road that would definitely not be a problem. Beautiful lakefront access and many sites on the lake. Perfect park for touring Traverse City, Sutton's Bay, etc. We would definitely stay here again if we venture back to this area. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. Sites up on "the Plateau" were close but not terrible. Sites in older parts of the park seemed to have more room. There are some excellent sites in the sections under the trees and some of these have lake views. "The Plateau" is the newest section and probably the least desirable of them all. We had W/E/S/C. Facility is clean and easy to get in and out. Very big rig friendly. One thing that seemed very strange was the placement of the fire rings. They are located toward the front of the sites and right on the "line" between the sites. I thought a fire ring belonged to our site and we didn't plan a fire so I wasn't worried about parking close. I actually had to move my rig after the first night because it turns out it was the neighbor's ring. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Sleeping Bear, Traverse City, and other area attractions.

We drove in without a reservation during the height of the season, and they found a spot for us. The park is beautiful, with a nice pond and wetland with trails. It was easy to walk our dogs right by our site, and they provide bags that are easy to find in many places. We didn't use any of the park's other features, as we only stayed one night, but we would return again. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park. This is some kind of membership park. Most of the lake sites were taken with seasonal or airstream rentals. I think most of the transients are placed on the "Ridge" or "Plateau" sites. We were in the "Plateau" sites and we were pleased. Sites are spaced nicely with a nice green space in between the roads. Friendly employees and a nicely managed park. Only negative, as usual is the wifi. Great place to walk or jog. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We drove to Sleeping Bear Dunes and a drive out to Old Mission State Park. The drive out to Old Mission was very scenic. Lots of cherry orchards, vineyards and wineries. If you're in good shape climb the dunes.

We stayed in the newer section in a pull-through site. All sites in this section are generously spaced and are well landscaped, however, the trees are still young and don't provide any shade. All grounds were well maintained. Easy in and easy out of camp sites. (Not sure about exact rate) We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Previous reviews describe layout of park. It is beautiful and folks are so nice. They asked us which site did we prefer: shady or open, so we had a choice. We were on the "plateau" and there were medium sized trees and large lots of grass between sites. We enjoyed our stay, close enough to Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes and Lelaneu Peninsula for day trips. Great wi-fi and good Verizon service. Had good spot for our satellite, but the park offers cable TV service too. The laundry facilities were spotless and many machines, both large ones and regular ones. We were there for 6 days and happy we had selected this park from the many available. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you have the extra day, go 30-40 minutes west to the Sleeping Bear Dunes Park; take the loop drive to see the spectacular views of dunes and Lake Michigan. If you have more time, continue north to Leland and enjoy the fish dinners at the restaurants there. It's a neat fishing village, we enjoyed the smoke lake trout from Carlens.

I loved this park! We spent 8 nights here and didn't want to leave. We stayed in the wooded sites and it was beautiful. These people really know how to run a campground! The only reason I did not give it a 10 was because of the road noise. However, our huge site and with beautiful scenery more than made up for it. Staff was all awesome! We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is beautiful park nestled into the south end of a lake with lots of trees, level sites, and very good roads. The Wi-Fi is excellent. The cable, store, and facilities are quite good. This is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in but your experience will depend on the space you are assigned. Most of the best are for long termers, but all are quite good though less so as you get farther from the lake and closer to the main highway. (By the way, the long term residents are vacationers and their sites are well kept and everyone is friendly.) There is access for boats, a beach, wildlife, and lots of kids enjoying the season. We would stay here again, even drive out of our way to get here. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nicest park we have stayed in although our site was on the "plateau" with little landscaping/young trees. It would not be easy or even possible to get a satellite signal in the wooded area sites. I walked through and didn't see a single dish set up. Very well kept and the staff went out of their way to be courteous even down to the guy doing maintenance stopping to answer a question and talk about .the history of the park. It used to be an Airstream only members park but now welcome all types. All of the seasonal sites are well kept and very neat. Although we didn't use the restrooms or showers they were being cleaned at least daily. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
