This was a perfect 2-night stop for us, fairly easy access from I-75. Actually the park is on Old SR 76 which parallels the freeway. you can exit at 212 if southbound, drive to the park and then, when leaving, continue south to rejoin the freeway at 202. The sites are all easy, wide back-in's off of the main driveway, grass and gravel. No mud, and very good drainage. The second night we were there it rained buckets, but in the morning there was hardly a puddle. There is a railroad track about 2-300 ft behind the sites, but only 1 or 2 trains per day, didn't bother us at all. We'd definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Loranger Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The park is easy to get in/out of off old M-76. Interior road is gravel and dusty. The sites are very large, grass (thin grass and sand), level and all are back-in. Utilities worked fine but very long run to sewer past the back of the site. Wifi worked well enough for basic stuff much of the time. Verizon signal minimal but worked. Expensive laundry. It is mostly quiet but of course that depends on what neighbors happen to be there when you are. Periodic train (not often) goes by right next to the park. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will stay here again. We camped at Loranger Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a small park with an easy to navigate road and large back-in spaces. The full hookup sites are sunny and all grass. Partial hookup sites are heavily shaded by trees. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We camped at Loranger Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The map on rvparkreviews and my GPS have this park in the wrong location. The driveway is easy to miss because the sign is small. It is on the west side of old M-76, do not go down any side roads.

We just stopped for an overnight trip on the way to the U.P. Camp host was helpful, restrooms very clean. I put it down in my notebook of places to stay, and found out a few nice golf courses were nearby. We camped at Loranger Pines RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The rate reflects the Passport price. This park was a wonderful surprise. We were looking for a nice overnight spot. The entire park was clean, well maintained and the grass sites were very spacious. The bathrooms were sparkling clean and two looked brand new. The staff were very welcoming and checked with us several times to make sure we settled in comfortably. We would definitely return. We camped at Loranger Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

E-mail requesting reservation was answered very promptly even though after hours. Although there are no pull-throughs, the sites are easy to back into with wide access roads and no obstructions near the front of the sites. All the sites are grass with small cement patio slabs. Sites are level. Some sites require a long cable through the trees to access a clear shot for satellite. When we were here it was very quiet. Would definitely stay again. Price is Passport America with two extra dollars for an extra person. We camped at Loranger Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent West Branch location. Address on web site not correct. Have to make reservation before they give you directions. Location is basically secret from public. Beautiful, grass, large, clean, level 50 amp full hookup sites. Wi-Fi worked great too. There is a $3 charge per night if you use AC. $2 third person. Couple dollars if you wash car or RV. No electric heaters allowed. Cash or check only. No credit cards. We camped at Loranger Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

If you want a lot of frills then this is not the campground for you. If you are looking for a clean, quiet campground in a beautiful woodland setting with nice, helpful owners, then this is your spot in northern lower Michigan. There are lakes minutes away and lots of attractions within a 1 to 2 hour radius. I have seen several deer in the area and, to me, this is the way camping should be. Restrooms and showers are kept very clean (I am not self contained) as are the campsites. I would definitely return. We camped at Loranger Pines RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
