This place is in the middle of farm country and a bit remote, but very quiet. Designed mostly for full-time residents there are about 10 RV sites for shorter stays. It is well laid out and has a homey feeling since most of the full-timers have built decks, etc. to make it nicer. The sites are gravel, and our had recently been redone. We had a decent site size & mostly level, but a shared utility post facing your neighbor is never as private. There is nice grass & mature trees but no additional landscaping. Our Dish satellite worked fine. There is no cable or Wifi provided. We camped at Hickory Hills Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is a few miles off of I35. A couple of those miles are on a dirt road. Nice check- in area with a nice swimming pool. A good share, over 50%, appeared to be seasonal campers. We were there during the week & it was extremely quiet. Our disappointment was when host drove his cart to our site. There was a tree that would obstruct our RV when the slides were out. We had mentioned this but he appeared not to care & drove off. I know trees in a campground our an asset. However, I wished owners would also realize branches in the wrong place are a BIG detriment. Branches scatch paint and poke holes in our homes. We camped at Hickory Hills Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice campground to get away from everything. Don't let the gravel road scare you away. Nice friendly owners. Campground is well maintained. The cell service was very low and there was no Wifi. We would definitely stay at this campground again. We camped at Hickory Hills Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here overnight prior to visiting Winnebago factory for repairs. About 30 minutes away. Had rained, so was wet and a little muddy. Large grassy areas around the sites. Owners worked us in at the last minute.

Although did not use it, the pool was very big! Noticed the neighbors going in and closing their door just before dark. Then found out why when we saw all the mosquitos on our screen door.

There was a mile or so gravel road, so go slow. We camped at Hickory Hills Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Had a nice pull thru site with plenty of room between sites. Owners were very friendly. Campground is close to Austin, MN home of the SPAM museum which is a must see. Roads were gravel, but it had rained so not too dusty. Older park but seemed to be kept up. There were some very large KOA cabins there that looked very nice. We camped at Hickory Hills Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Was bummed out about the mile long dirt road leading to the campground. But once we pulled in it was well worth it. Mostly seasonal sites but they do have like 28 for "travelers." Owners couldn't have been nicer and the pool is probably the biggest we have seen, great office with very good pizza. Seasonal campers are very friendly. Overall just a very relaxing place to spend a couple days. Best campground we have been to in south central MN. Forgot to mention the big and VERY grassy sites. We will go back for sure! We camped at Hickory Hills Campground in a Motorhome.

Note: our rate reflects a holiday rate. Nice, clean campground in remote rural location. Owners were very friendly. Were surprised at how quiet the campground was, given there are so many seasonals and it was a holiday weekend. The dirt road leading in to the campground had many ruts and soft spots due to recent heavy rains. Nice pool. We camped at Hickory Hills Campground in a Travel Trailer.
