This park is mostly a location for working in the local area. The manager was very nice and gave me a site but added that she wasn't sure if someone was there or not. If so, then pick an open site. Even though she didn't ask me to return and give her my location if I moved, I did anyway. They had some storms the night before and she wasn't sure if the Wi-Fi would work or not. Later in the day and this morning it seems to be working OK. The park is small with dirt/gravel sites that are small but it works for an overnight. It was quiet so I would stay here again when passing through. I selected tight turns for interior roads but that is mainly due to parking of the residents. If they were to park properly, then no big deal for the tight turns. We camped at Cruise Inn RV Park and Lodging (formerly America's Best Inn and Suites in a Fifth Wheel.

Name Changed to The Lakes Area Motel & RV Park.

We stayed 1 night passing through the area.

The park is a mile or so drive from I-94 (Exit 100: 34th Ave) along a busy multiple lane road that narrows to a 2 lane road. The park was built in a little hollow so the roads & sites have slopes.

The sites are all back-ins. No P/T's! Several sites appear to be extended stay sites. The sites are different lengths. Site had enough room for opening slides. This park doesn't understand the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site and sewer doesn't flow up hill! Distance establishes privacy between the sites but the sites were narrow and close to each other. Only a few sites had an outside table. Some campers had a fire.

There were trees throughout the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon site assignment and your dish configuration. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels.

The park provided WiFi was good. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. Didn't try the NET10 phone so don't know about cell phone reception.

No designated fenced pet area. There were bag dispensers and collection stations for waste around the park. There wasn't much space to walk dogs along the park's roads.

For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. None of the structures in the park were identified as a severe weather shelter.

No park brochure provided. The park is located across the street from the airport. There was aircraft activity noise late into the night.

We would not stay here again if traveling through the area. The other park in town offered the same type of hook ups with larger and level appearing sites as long as there isn't a shooting event. We camped at Cruise Inn RV Park and Lodging (formerly America's Best Inn and Suites in a Motorhome.

This is an unusually nice little RV park for being behind a motel. Most sites are level but a little crowded. This would be a great place for an overnight but some people stay here longer as a campground. We stayed here in a 40ft motorhome and would stay again if in the area. Call first they fill up quick in the evening. We camped at Cruise Inn RV Park and Lodging (formerly America's Best Inn and Suites in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 1 night. The sites at this campground are all back-ins so a motorhome with a toad requires a disconnect. This could be an issue if you would like an early am departure the following day. We were assigned a site number but told we could choose any unoccupied site. The Wi-Fi worked well but as stated in other reviews there is no cable TV, so unless you have satellite you may pull in 5 stations with your antenna. The sites and road are a sandy loam mixture and messy when dry but worse when wet. The night we were there it rained and needless to say I had a mat outside and an old towel on the floor inside to catch the sand mixture. It is fairly close to the I-94. Also close by are a fair amount of restaurants and stores. We camped at Cruise Inn RV Park and Lodging (formerly America's Best Inn and Suites in a Motorhome.

I gave it a 10 because the wi-fi worked well and it was easy access in & out, a level site, hard sand, and no problems with electricity or water or sewer. Fine for my 40 foot Class A coach. A motel is also on the property. The motel and most sites occupied by transient workers. The battery of my toad needed a boost and as it was early evening, two of these workers gave assistance when asked. I would strongly recommend this little gem of a park to everyone. A playground for kids was also there. We stayed 2 nights. We camped at Cruise Inn RV Park and Lodging (formerly America's Best Inn and Suites in a Motorhome.

The campground is fine for an overnight stay. There was Wi-Fi but no cable. We did get satellite signal and antenna reception. I certainly was surprised to see a sign by the lagoon that warned of alligators. I thought it was a joke - so I Googled it. There have been alligators in the area. People get them as babies and throw them out when they get bigger. One was found frozen in March. We camped at Cruise Inn RV Park and Lodging (formerly America's Best Inn and Suites in a Motorhome.

This is an interesting park that is located adjacent to a motel. We had called asking for a pull-through site: they only have one! The motel clerk came outside (in her bare feet), told us we had to leave the park, go back out on the highway and turn into the business area behind them, then drive in between two buildings on a dirt road and we'd be in the site. Literally, the pull-through site is located ON the dirt road at the back side of the campground. We only used it as an overnight stop, but I was a bit worried that someone would come down that dirt road in the middle of the night and run into the back of our Toad. Seemed like young staff running the place. They let us park wherever we wanted. This park is a Good Sam park but not listed in the book. We stayed here 2 years ago, as we visit friends here. Easy to get to from the interstate. Lots of grass with crushed rock pads for the RV's. We camped at Cruise Inn RV Park and Lodging (formerly America's Best Inn and Suites in a Motorhome.

Not too many choices in Alexandria. This RV Park is affiliated with the adjacent Motel. There are NO bathrooms or showers for campers. Share laundry room with motel. Interior road is dirt, messy after rain. Site sandy gravel, grass, picnic table and fire pit at sites. Wi-Fi not working. Good satellite and Verizon air card reception, no Sprint service. Seems as though the RV Park was a weak afterthought for the motel owners. Good retail area nearby. Quiet at night. Would not stay here again. We stayed one night in this small park on our way through the area. It is on the side of a motel. We visited friends so really used the park as a place to sleep. There are not a lot of amenities, if that is what you are looking for. We found the lady owner very friendly. Gravel spaces were fairly level but the grass was not well groomed. The town has lots of shopping and, of course, tons of fishing. We will stay here again if we are in the area. This is really a second thought by the motel owners. They put down some class 5 and dug the hookups to call it a campground. The pro is that you can get a reservation. We camped on a busy August weekend and only 4 sites were full, 51 were empty. One major drawback is there is no showers or bathrooms anywhere. We arrived late at night and we needed a restroom. The owners would not allow us to use a bathroom anywhere. We had to wait to setup camp. Would not even let us use an empty hotel room. If you don't have your own bathroom don't bother. If you don't need the hookups there were more campers overnight at the Wal-Mart 3 blocks away. The Wal-Mart has a restroom you can use also. We camped at Cruise Inn RV Park and Lodging (formerly America's Best Inn and Suites in a Fifth Wheel.
