This is a nice county park that we found to be very quiet, even when full. We were in a full service site, but unlike so many other parks, the sites were very well spaced with grass in between the gravel sites. Our site was level and all services worked well. There are some trails that run from the campground and other trails elsewhere in this big park. We would definitely come here again. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Wonderful campground. Spacious sites. Good power and water. Courteous staff and campers. Well maintained. Quiet. Wonderful parks in walking distance. One mile from the zoo.

The entrance off Johnny Cake Ridge Road is narrow and windy. It would be a hazard if two big rigs passed each other. Be careful.

The shower/laundry are actually on the public street. Strangers could walk right in.

No good place to hook up or disconnect. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

DO NOT FOLLOW THE GPS.
Head to 12100 Johnny Cake Ridge Road instead.

Echo recent reviews..great campground. Nice, helpful camphosts, grounds well maintained with good areas for the dogs. Very convenient for visiting downtown Minneapolis yet removed from the city congestion. Good shopping nearby and great golf at Valleywood Golf Course. I was concerned about the entry road and our 42' rig but we never encountered another rig entering or leaving. It would be tricky but not impossible to work out if it happened. We are returning there again for a weekend. You definitely should have reservations for weekends, it gets busy. Our first visit to this area and the city is marvelous! We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a very well maintained park. The sites are spacious with some shade. This park is in the metro Minneapolis area, but it is surrounded by trees and their motto is "forever wild", so you cannot tell you are in a city at all. Great WIFI connection. We stayed here 5 nights. Management is very good at making sure all rules are followed by everyone. One day we had a Senator stop by our site, to ask us questions about the park (some funding being requested). He had parked on the side of the road. One of the managers came by and told him he needed to move his car to the overflow area! We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Mall of America only 10 minutes from park.

Nightly rate plus $8 reservation fee. As said in earlier reviews the entrance road is pretty narrow, uphill and twisty, not impossible but close if someone is coming the opposite direction. With most big rigs it takes both lanes to enter or exit without driving in the landscaping. Roads are paved and sites are gravel, some nearly level others not. Fire rings and picnic tables, no carpets on the grass. Water is a reach from the front of the site, sewer has two drop points, power is at the back of the site. Some sites are close together, others have plenty of elbow room, most are back-in. The CG is part of a huge REGIONAL park system, lots of stuff to do and trails to hike and bicycle. Laundry holds 2 washers and 4 dryers, wash $1.50 and $2 (large machine), dry 25 cents per ten minutes. Host was friendly, courteous and informative. We would return when in the area. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Hike the park trails, enjoy the huge aqua center nearby, and close to the Mall of America, plus outlet malls.

Details of previous reviews are accurate, except, the entrance/exit driveway is impossible if two big rigs tried to pass...way too narrow and curvey. Difficult when two cars pass each other. It definitely needs to be widened. Also, sign on road is now covered by bushes so beware because it's an easy to miss entrance. Once inside the park, for that is what it is, a well manicured and maintained park, road signs are well defined, sites are level, albeit close, and campfires set right under neighbor's RV windows. If you have allergies to smoke, beware, everyone has campfires. This campground is very popular so need advance reservations. The section with FHUs is close and open, another section is very rural and rustic. Something for everyone. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Around the corner from Zoo, Within 15 minutes of Mall of America, Also surrounded by park trails for hiking and biking.

Very nice place to stay when visiting the twin cities. This is a regional park in the center of a major suburb. Thus, the park is secluded yet it is convenient to about any type of store you may need just a couple of miles away. Very quiet with lots of paved trails. Sites were plenty long and sufficient for slides and awning but a little close to adjacent sites. Some trees around but was able to find a satellite opening. All hookups worked fine. Water hookup is at front of site and required my extra hose to reach. There are two sewer hookups so shouldn't be a problem for anyone's normal connection. Point was made by the office that mats were not allowed to protect grass. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

A nice place to spend a few days while visiting the Twin Cities area.

Located in a quiet area adjacent to a major street, but late in the evening the noise was negligible.

Sites are grassy and large, but those out in the open suffer from the high heat during the summer.

"Wifi" available in only one "loop" which is close to the office.

There is no pool, but there are a couple of playgrounds for children. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground has a two week maximum with full hookups which is largely why we paid $32 a night to stay here, and has decent WiFi in the West Loop. The park has extensive trails and waterways but most are all separate (across a busy street) from the campground. The campground itself has some deep spaces but the sites are in close proximity to each other with little separation (ie: trees, brush etc.) My main complaint though is the staff. Every interaction has been slightly unpleasant and there is one gentleman in particular who has been pretty aggressive with enforcing the "rules." The worst incident was on our first Sunday he came up to our site and asked why we hadn't left yet since check out time was 11am. When we stated we were here for two weeks, he said no you are not... site 8 is checking out today. It's worth mentioning that as he was speaking he was standing next to the marker showing we were in site 7. Wood is it's $5 a bundle and there is a $1,000 fine if you bring in non certified wood, which they strictly enforce. When we asked where a certified vendor was so that we could buy in bulk we were told to look online. It's been a long time since we have been treated this rudely at a campsite and I would not return. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Caponi Art Park is nearby which we enjoyed.

This is our 10th stay here and it hasn't changed much in the 12 years since our first visit. It's a county park so no extended stay rates, just the daily rate. Sites are level, gravel, with good 50A power and convenient sewer. The water spigots are located near the front of the sites, sometimes requiring 40' or more of water hose. We had forgotten to pack our extra hose this year so the campground loaned us a 10' hose to use. We bought another 25' hose and returned the loaner. I consider this excellent service. Although we were here on the Memorial day weekend and the park was full with many kids, the noise was not objectionable and everyone was well behaved. Reservations can be made online with a well designed website that shows a map of the available sites for your specified stay. There is an $8 reservation fee, but it's worth it as this park is popular, especially on the weekends. All sites are satellite friendly and the WiFi internet is good, but slow when the park was full. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Although this was our first stay, this is one of our favorite parks now. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating (they were able to fit us in at 75'.) The park is incredibly well maintained and regularly patrolled by the Dakota Sheriff's office. There's a beautiful playground for the kids, trails and if you don't find enough to do in the park, Apple Valley is only minutes away and there's everything you can imagine there. If that still isn't enough, the Mall of America is only ~20 minutes away. They run a tight ship here, but I appreciated that. Great place! We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Great value and a nice park in general. Very convenient to the Twin Cities and with access to the necessary grocery stores, etc. The bathrooms were spotless and most sites are very spacious (there are a few tight ones). We will return again. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Would have rated a 10 if the entrance were better suited to big rigs (ours is 40'). Pads are hard gravel. There are 2 sewer access points at each site. Water pressure and electricity are reliable. Water spigot is at front of site, so long hose is required. There is only 1 road in and out and this 2 way road is very narrow and curvy. A big rig requires both lanes to maneuver. Dakota county needs to entirely revamp the entrance/exit for safety reasons. We would return. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

We loved this park. It was the perfect mix of feeling like we were camping and with all of the amenities of an RV park. We stayed in spot 16 and had no problem with satellite. The staff were very friendly when we checked in and went over the rules of the park and area attractions which we very much appreciated. It is located in a safe neighborhood with many stores and restaurants nearby and not far from the downtown area. The actual pads are a bit narrow, but there is ample grass on both sides. The WiFi is the best we have had in a long time! We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.
