This campground is located just minutes from the Minnesota Zoo and just a short distance from I35E. This is a great campground with paved roads and level, gravel sites. There are three loops but only one with full hookups. This is a very popular campground and advance reservations for anything other than a short midweek stay are a must. If you want to stay over a summer weekend you probably need to book in March or April. We enjoyed the campground and appreciated the short distances to everything from Mall of America to the Zoo (practically within walking distance) to other sightseeing attractions. We also appreciated how well kept the park is. We've been in lots of places that could take lessons from the staff at Lebanon Hills. People traveling with children might want to pick the east loop rather than the full hookup west loop. The east loop has electric only but has a very nice playground at its center. The north loop is dry camping and even the showers are a bit of a walk. Being that this is a really nice campground in an urban area you might deal with some sticker shock on the price, even though it is a county park. The price I listed includes the registration fee and taxes. Our TV found many local channels and I had no problem getting the satellite signal. Our Verizon 4G signal was a usable 1-3 bars. If you can plan ahead, this is a very good Minneapolis camping option. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice regional park that is super clean. Even the dumpsters are cleaned regularly and they have an excellent recycling program for trash, recyclables and compost and supply separate garbage bags to sort your trash. There are only a few pull through sites and they are excellent sites. Ours was site #58 and I reserved it online on March 1 which is the first date you can reserve sites for the upcoming season. It is as close to being in the woods at a park that we've been with our huge 5th wheel and full hook ups. There was nobody around us. They informed us that this site had some leveling issues but we had no problem leveling. My only problem with the site was that the mosquitoes were horrible. Be sure to bring your DEET this time of the year. The park is close to Mall of America but you feel a million miles away. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The bathrooms are immaculate as is the campground. Full hookups in one loop. The other two loops are electric only and primitive. These non full hookup loops are more private and you can add a tent. Not in the full-hookup look - no tents allowed and spaces are tight although many back up to woods and have trees and grassy areas nearby.

If you don't need full hookups and don't have a huge travel trailer, choose the electric only loop. It is much more private, water stations nearby all along the road and you can erect a tent with your trailer. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We love this park. The staff is wonderful and welcoming and the sites were gravel and well spaced. The campground is hidden away from the road and although you are in the Twin-City area, you are surrounded by nature. When we needed wood for the fire-pit, one of the campground attendants brought it to our site. They have great hiking trails that run through the woods and around some lakes in the park and though you feel like you are in the wilderness, you are a short drive from all the amenities the city has to offer like Mall of America, Cascade Bay Water Park in Eagan and great restaurants. There were a lot of big-rigs (5th Wheels and Motorhomes) at the campground and the sites seemed to easily accommodate them. We will definitely stay here again next year. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cascade Bay Water Park in Eagan on Pilot Knob Road is a short drive from the Lebanon Hills and a great place to take the kids for a day in the sun. Big pools, a lazy river and slides. If you want a more natural beach experience, Lebanon Hills Park on Cliff Road is not far.

Beautiful, clean, quiet, well-kept park. Very convenient to everything we wanted to see and to shopping. Easy to get into the cities and, strangely, the heavy traffic was always going in the opposite direction. OTA TV, Verizon hotspot and phone all worked well, but campground wifi was erratic and mostly unusable. Sites are angled in such a way that some are much roomier than others. For an urban location this place can't be beat. Would definitely stay again. Rate shown is for a week not including reservation fee. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful park with plenty of green space between RV's. Very good hiking and biking trails. No real access to the lakes that we noticed, but several water areas are viewable on the sides of the paths. Camp store was nice. Good proximity to the Apple Valley area, zoo, etc. with many restaurants and shopping nearby. We would stay here again if in the area. County park with campground at the edge of small town. Quiet. Sites for large rigs and separate primitive sites in the woods. Paved roads and gravel sites with grass between. FHU sites are open sky. Long level back in sites. Staff friendly and helpful. Good for travelers and big rigs. Note; Don't check in before 1 pm, strict rule and narrow entry road, allows departing rigs to leave by 11. Office at far end of park so must drive in all the way thru past sites to register. Not a resort but would stay there again. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Minnesota Zoo is across the main road. Lebanon Hills Park is huge, with lots of outdoor activities available. All the shopping you want/need is about 3.5 miles South of the park.

Beautiful park, very well kept. $8.00 reservation fee when booking online, not reflected in the per night cost. We arrived at the park at 11 AM on a weekday. Be aware that the staff will strictly enforce a $8.50 early check in fee if you arrive before 1 PM. This is regardless of how busy they are, if your spot is open, whether they have your paperwork ready, or inclement weather expected later in the day. After returning to RV (parked in a designated RV spot) you are directed to remove your RV from the park till you check in after 1PM. Have been traveling full time for 7 years, this was a first, both with the policy and the attitude! We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed for 3 nights. Close to Minneapolis. Quiet and well taken care of. The grass areas were like someone's lawn. Camp hosts were excellent and attentive. When getting close, you may want to double check GPS directions with a map: we had to override. The park is very large and the campground is on the western edge. GPS takes you to the center. The entrance is somewhat narrow, hilly and curvy. Not a problem in that outbound campers have left before noon so the traffic pattern naturally switches to inbound in the afternoon. Our rig is 45' with toad: no way could we pass by another rig coming the other way. However, don't let this deter you from staying. Verizon signal only 2 bars which normally is not a problem but the bandwidth was terrible. Lots of activities tied to the county park. Zoo is very close by. Our site was 25. Satellite signal locked in. Would definitely return. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice, clean campground. Close to Minneapolis but doesn't feel like you're in a city. We had full hook ups and had a nice, roomy site. WiFi wasn't dependable, and had not great but adequate Verizon signal to make phone calls and work on computer. Staff was nice and helpful. This was our second stay at the campground and would stay here again. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Convenient campground within the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. There are three loops. Only the West loop has full hookups and paved roads. About half of the sites in this loop are large enough to handle 40'+ motorhomes with tow vehicles. About half of the sites within the West loop are level enough front to back not to need blocks. Spacing is tighter than most public campgrounds but still better than RV parks. The restrooms and showers were clean and in good condition. Verizon and AT&T coverage were sufficient enough stream Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube videos without buffering. We would stay here again.
