We camped in the family camping area. We were their "test run" to see if they could fit three travel trailers in this tiny area. Obviously we didn't know this. The main area for campers appeared to be all seasonal rentals. For weekend camping, there were few options. We did not have a 50 amp hookup as promised. Between the three trailers there we constantly blew fuses with all of us having A/C running. We almost left immediately but the campers next to us encouraged us to stick together and tough this one out. Which is exactly what we did. Across from our site in the family camp area was a poorly capped septic sewer. The smell was unbearable, we never got used to it. Which means if we were at our site, we were inside with the windows closed. The owners were nice enough but they did complain which makes for an uncomfortable feeling. There were garbage bags piled three high all the way down to our sites along the owners garage. The pictures look nice on the site but it's not as nice when you get there. The bathrooms were OK but certainly nothing great. We will not return to this campground. - smores

Very friendly staff, allowed us to leave our popup while we visited friends nearby the day of our checkout and we picked it up on the way home. Showers went from pleasant to scorching hot, then to freezing cold. There was a very neat lagoon that we camped right by, but the beach was not much. It was quiet, not a lot of campers, which was good as there was only one men and one women's restroom, and two shower stalls. There was a very clean port-a-biff available. Got to hear loons throughout the day and night. - shaker_77

Sep 2016 - $26.00
The park is well laid out and paved roads are narrow but accommodate large Motorhomes. The sites are spread out and leave plenty of room between campers. The sites only have electricity but the dump station is easy to get to and use. Most sites looked close to level but mine required some adjustments. Because of the trees, my satellite didn't work. The staff is very friendly and willing to help out. A gas/diesel/ convenience store is nearby, as well as a grocery store, restaraunt and other shops. - George Malloy
May 2015 - $26.00
This is a great park, tons of room between sites. Right across the street from a small shopping district. Price was for the electric sites. Small swimming area on Crosslake, two boat ramps on the lake. This is a huge boating area. Paved roads in the campground with gravel sites. Nice to have a site large enough so you can have the awning out and still have a fire in the fire pit. I would have rated this a "10" but one loop is close to a busy road and there are several street lights that are not needed throughout the campground. Several lit up campsites. I would not have wanted to be in one of those sites. - tslarson

We so enjoyed our stay at Wildwedge! We walked the trails daily with our dog, checked out the 9-hole golf course, and were impressed with all the things to do for families with kids of all ages, such as: table tennis, crochet, tether-ball, miniature golf, a cool wood maze, and a playground with sand toys. We hope to have our grandkids with next time we come through. It truly was a pleasure to travel with our RV and find an easy spot to pull into and have full hookups, and the staff were friendly, too. God bless you and your business!

Wonderful stay. Clean and fully equipped. Lots are spacious with a sunny/open exposure. Sites are grass and feature a fire ring and picnic table. Will stay again. - amlarson
Jul 2016 - $46.00
Love, Love, Love this place! My kids love all the games available to play, outdoor ping pong, bean bags, Frisbee golf, ladder golf. And the adjoining Par 3 golf course was in great condition and guests of the RV park play for $19 all day long. My kids didn't want to quit! And the mini golf and maze are awesome too. Great shady sites on golf course, good wifi, best and cleanest bathrooms of anywhere we stayed too (according to wife). Will be back again and again. - minnesnowta

The sites are nice and large, each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The park is mostly heavily wooded. There is a nice clear stream and there are canoes and inner tubes available. The roads and pads are all gravel, watch out for the speed bumps. There is a clean heated swimming pool. There also is a camp store with reasonable prices, a game and recreation room. There is a nice patio with a fire ring overlooking the stream. The bathrooms and laundry were very clean. The Wi-Fi worked well at our site. The staff were friendly and made coffee for our group. The park was about 75% seasonal campers but that was not a problem. This park is located far enough away from the highway so that it was very quiet and peaceful. It was a very pleasant stay and we would return. - pawatt

We stayed four nights in our 40' motor home. There are some 50 amp sites but we chose to stay in a 30 amp site. We were unable to get satellite signal due to overhead trees, which provided very nice shade. Roads and sites are dirt/grass with lots of sand. It was a little tight getting into our site and we had to back out of it. Owners were quite helpful. Many other campgrounds in the vicinity do not allow dogs whatsoever, but they allowed dogs with considerate owners. Campground was fairly quiet on a busy weekend and other campers seemed seasonal and very respectful. Although we would not necessarily recommend for big rigs, we were fine and would probably stay again, due to its location near our relatives. - BigRigTravelerUSA
Jun 2010 - $34.00
Overall, a nice campground. Owners were friendly and escorted us to our site. Sites were grass, fairly level and with plenty of shade. There was a nice play gound area for the kids. Lake access was very nice and so was the swimming beach. The store was very limited so plan on getting groceries/supplies elsewhere. Roads were dirt and were muddy do to excessive June rain. Otherwise, we had a very good time at this cg. - foley5000

Lovely campground on Leech Lake. This is a Chippewa National Forest Campground. Sites are roomy and spacious. It is very shady. It is close to Walker, MN and the bicycle trails. The bathrooms were not cleaned regularly or well. The more important problem is very low voltage. We spoke with the Forest Service people and it is old wiring and at the "end of the line". Weekends were the worst. We would NOT stay here again for that reason. - ouachita princess
Jul 2014 - $13.00
There are lots of trees in this campground, so not much sun gets through in the daytime and you won’t get reception on your satellite TV. The sites on the outside of the campground loops are large, but the inner loop sites are a bit cramped. Also, if there is a lot of rain, several of the sites on the outside loop become flooded. The campground is on Leech Lake and there are two mooring harbors for boats, so if you are staying several days, there is no need to take your boat out of the water every night. Our rate reflects our Senior Pass discount. - Bobbi1948
Jun 2009 - $23.00
Great Forest Service Park on a point in Leech Lake. Very shady sites which help cut down on wind coming across the lake. Some sites have beach access and some are on water front. Small campground with a boat launch and has two small harbors where you can tie up your boat. The campground roads are paved and the perfect size for kids to ride bikes and enjoy themselves. The sites were well spaced and most of them were very private. - wildcat63

Sep 2012 - $15.00
Passport America price was $14.50. Very nicely landscaped lot next to hotel/restaurant, but also right next to the highway/main street. Utilities very good. Sites are level and all are approximately 50 foot pull-through. No office on site. Transactions done via phone according to the owner who just happened to be on site this particular day. - Full-Time Roamers
Aug 2011 - $29.00
We stayed here two weekday nights. All sites are FHU with good cable TV (60+ channels) and Wi-Fi. The previous reviews are all pretty much on the nose concerning this park: gravel lot with grass and a cement patio between the sites; flowers and lamppost at each site. I found the lamppost to be a negative as it was too bright at night and forced me to use added shading for the bedroom windows. As noted, you can use the bathroom and shower in the motel pool area. While here is no laundry in the park or motel, there is a laundromat in town. In addition to being able to walk to all the shops, stores, and restaurants in town there is a very nice lakeside city park (beach, tennis and basketball courts, boat launching area, picnic areas, etc.) at the other end of town. This park is about 1/2 a mile from the RV park. - Jerry S
Jul 2011 - $25.00
This is a great little park right at the edge of downtown. You can walk to downtown in several minutes. We ended up staying here since the park we were supposed to stay for a week wanted us to stay in the worst site they had. So glad we saw this park on the way. It is next door to AmericInn and you can use their swimming pool, hot tub, and showers if you want. There are no restrooms in the RV park, but we use ours in the trailer anyway. This place is perfect if you don't need all the so called amenities that the so called 'resorts' in the area have which they charge a ridiculous fee for. This park is exactly what we look for when we are traveling. Water pressure is great and voltage is good. We would definitely stay here again. The only reason I did not give it a 10 is they have gravel streets and sites, but they are level. They have a small concrete patio, shrubs, and flowers at each site. They also have a small street light at each site. - zrxh14

Aug 2017 - $56.00
They have added some additional concrete pads and fixed up the landscaping since we were here last year. Looks better now. Also raised their prices ($59 weekday, 65 weekends). There is a mediocre clubhouse, separate bathhouse, outdoor pool and the man made pond in the middle of the property. Remains a quiet clean spacious place to stay but in my opinion they are overpriced for the market they are in and amenities they offer. - Nautical Wheelers
Sep 2016 - $43.00
This resort is in a more rural setting. It is one of the quietest "resorts" we have been at - perhaps due to staying later in the season after Labor Day. It appears they are trying to sell more ownership stakes in the resort. It is nice but could use a bit of sprucing up to become a really nice resort. Only about 2/3 of the sites were occupied. We were given a spot right on the small man made pond in the center of the report next to several high end motorhomes. Many of the sites appear to be rented to seasonals, all of their rigs were very nice, nothing junky. Our only complaint about the place was the barking dogs of our neighbor who spends the entire summer there. We were there for 4 days and they barked at us every time they saw us - several times each day. - Nautical Wheelers
Jul 2016 - $38.00
IMHO calling this a resort is questionable. Although, we discovered the word "resort" is a high volume description for most any lodging in MN :) With the thousands of lakes in Minnesota this "resort" is on a pond. I had to call several times to make a reservation as no one answered the phone, and there was no voice mail. The building where we checked in smelled musty which was surprising as it seems to be fairly new. The park information is typed on a piece of paper, no fancy brochure. The first item was that the WII FI and cable were being upgraded. Their website inferred that both were up and running and were part of the amenities offered. WII FI only worked at the office and cable didn't work at all. This is an owner park that started up but hasn't finished. They are still constructing new RV sites. It seems when you purchase a site there is a minimal paved section in place. A few owners had poured an additional concrete pad and landscaped their site. Others, just parked in the grass. Sites ranged from very nice to a concrete pad with some scrubby grass and a tree here and there. The sites are all out in the open. There is decent spacing between sites, and they are staggered. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. Directv worked fine. We had 4g with Verizon but barely 1 bar so a lot of calls were dropped and internet access was spotty. The interior roads are fine. The bathrooms and showers look nice. There is a small pool that looks nice as well. They advertise on the website, and when I called that there is a Class A only section. When we were there, several RVs parked in this section didn't fit the description. Not a big deal but it's false advertising - which sadly, they seem to be pretty good at. Unless they can bring this park up to real resort status, we would not stay here again and pay the price they ask. FYI - 371 is being widened so you can hear some of the construction noise but it quieted down at night. - Free
