Used this park for a quick overnight stay while traveling. It has 9 RV sites and only three were occupied on a Tuesday night. Easy in and out. Site was fairly level but well kept. Note: At one time the first night was free, this is no longer the case. $20 very reasonable for full hookup. We used it to dump because it was our last night of the trip. Saved me from stopping at a dump site later. Good deal! Nothing fancy but very adequate for a one night stay. We camped at Faribault County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

This is a hidden Gem that apparently quite a few people know about. Not well publicized but worth finding if you are in the area. We got there about 4 pm and 3/4 of the dozen sites were taken. By nightfall all sites were filled but one. Small, just dirt pads, not completely level at the back of the fair grounds but very quiet, reasonably priced, close to the everything, good for a night or two for sure. Self service with a pay booth. We camped at Faribault County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Just a one night stop for us but your right at the fair grounds and ball fields. Plenty to see or do, also Green Giant museum if it is open when you are there.

Overall Rating:

We stopped here as we were headed home from out west. This is a surprisingly nice little full hook up campground for only $20. The campground is tucked away in the back of the fairgrounds. Just follow the camping signs past the fitness center to the back of the park. There are 9 RV sites and 4 tent sites. All 9 RV sites are nicely groomed and full hookup. They are all 50' back in and there was enough room for us to back in our 35' with the toad attached. The camping loop is not huge but there is plenty of room for big rigs to get in and out. ATT and Verizon both had strong signal and fast 4g LTE. We camped at Faribault County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

walmart (not a supercenter) is right across the street in front of the fairgrounds. Visit the 50' Jolly Green Giant on the corner on you way in or out.

One of those hidden gems out there the first 24 hrs is free once per year. Even after that an exceptional value at $20/day for 50 amp FHU! They even have free firewood available most of the time! Dump station is also available. Lots of grass, picnic tables and fire rings at each site. The only negative is the mosquitoes along the creek in the rear of CG! Good Verizon phone & data signal, satellite reception possible from most sites. We camped at Faribault County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Mostly new/renovated. Has 9 full service sites with 4 tent only sites. New playground and paved trail. Ball games going on not too far away all weekend. It's right next to the river valley so we saw lots of wildlife. There's a small historic building collection nearby too, but they are all locked. We camped at Faribault County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Walking distance to Walmart, big Green Giant Statue, Dairy Queen, McDonalds and Subway. We couldn't find a grocery store or hardware store and nobody seemed to know where to look.

Nice place to stay and with the first night free, it only cost us $40 for 3 nights!

Pretty newly redone. 9 full service sites with electricity, water, sewer, picnic table and fire ring. Very quiet with paved walking trail adjacent to campground. Grocery store, hardware store and eating establishment within walking distance. Very nice and not busy - baseball games going on the night we were there - enjoyed watching them. We camped at Faribault County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It looks like they have free firewood. The city workers were cleaning up the sites and doing some grooming when we were there. You can't beat the price. The restroom and showers were a little walk - not sure why they have a portable restroom with the shower house that close?

Overall Rating:

Newly refurbished and very nice for a fairgrounds. Portable toilet, no showers. The 9 RV sites were spacious and level, also 4 tent sites. First 24 hrs are free. Good cell reception, CBS is the only OTA station. Next to the river, so mosquitoes were bad, but we found that pretty much everywhere this year. Quiet except for an occasional train whistle. There's a Pioneer Village with a church, school, post office, store, blacksmith, log cabin and antique machine shed. Nice walking/biking trail and within walking distance of downtown. We camped at Faribault County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

First 48 hours of camping is FREE. Each additional night is $5. Some sites have electric, some have sewer, some water available. Pretty fairgrounds. Arrived during the Jolly Green Giant Festival. Stayed 3 nights/4 days. Extremely friendly town. We camped at Faribault County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.
