Stayed for 4 days. found the office with no problem just followed the signs. It's hidden in the back of the trailer park. Owner was very friendly, visited with him for about 20 minutes before we went to my site. Lots of trees and shade. He gave the choice of 3 spots to park in the place was almost full. He took me there then helped guide me in. Will be going back again. - Imawolf
Jul 2017 - $39.00
Appears to be lots of seasonals/long term residents, understandable due to proximity to the river and the town of Monticello that appears to have any service you would need. This park was not exactly our cup of tea, but okay for overnight. - Katy29
Jun 2017 - $35.00
Hard to find the office, it is actually a private house. We come in and wait at the door. She yells come on in. No office, man sitting at table eating an ice cream sandwich starts filling out our form. We felt ill at ease being in a private house, the Christmas tree was on a table still and man was not at all friendly. Not friendly.
We asked for a pull thru because the web site advertised them. They have 3 only and they are used by seasonal (installed wooden decks, lighting, flower pots), we did not have a choice but to unhook. - Nicoray

Sites are on the smaller side but not too bad. Very grassy which was great. Paved roads, great owners, nice swimming beach (although the water was high when we were there, so the beach wasn't as big.) Campground is mostly seasonal. That's OK as we weekenders were accepted well. Codgers is located right next to a town ball baseball field. We would like to stay there next time when they are playing. Great dock fishing here and pontoon rental. Really can't say enough good things about this place. We will be making this a staple on our yearly agenda. - bunny102

What a find! Speak we arrived in this county park for just a one night stay and wish we had known how unique it was to plan at least a week. The campers were very much campers and were enjoying the out-of-doors at the family atmosphere here. A mixture of tense and RVs and very happy families. The sides could easily hold big rigs and were spacious. They included electric hook up for an additional charge and 10 sites had water all have picnic tablesand fire rings. Because the park is small it makes heading to the beach easy. If you have a boat there is a boat launch on site. With so many people out on the water fishing, tubing, and waterskiing. Many locals come this way so reservations would be needed in advance especially for weekend stays. We would certainly return here if the opportunity arises. We highly recommend this location for families, seniors, and anybody wants a little bit of tranquility. There is a dump station on site as there are no sewer connections at the campsite. - John-Jean

Vary nice park. Nice clean lake. Good fishing. Very friendly owners. Very polite and helpful. Recommend to anyone go to Schroeders park. Can't wait to go back. - Bryant Paul Doege
Jun 2012 - $15.00
Very nice, family friendly campground. The prices is right. Lots of shade and there are several sights with paved pads and lots of grass, not all are this way but some are. Pet friendly. Very clean restrooms and showers. Nice large beach great for swimming. Nice playground. Easy boat docking area and large dock for fishing. Nice fishing lake. Would recommend. - babytygger

Sep 2017 - $49.00
We booked at this resort in May for Labor Day weekend. Upon arriving they told us we were in a different site than we booked, ok fine we thought, as the gentleman brought us to our site (we would have never found it otherwise) the site was for a 25ft motorhome, we booked for a 40ft. We were not going to fit any way you looked at it. Tree branches are beyond in need of cutting back, roads are narrow and strange angles. They did not have any other sites available, so we were out of luck for a camping weekend. I felt the place was pretty run down. The pictures on the website are definitely not current. We will not go back to this campground. - jejmjj5
Mar 2017 - $10.00
More park models than vacationers. A bit more primitave than we were hoping for. Biggest issues was parking 5th wheel. Bad angels to back in. Many low branches on roads that hit top of 5er. Got stuck at one point but neighbor helped us out. Mostly older campers, but ok. Many amenities but not exactly a resort. It's a little rougher in person than looks on website. - GinaMarielovestoTravel
Jul 2015 - $41.00
This is a campground filled with lots of seasonal trailers. This place is huge! We were there for just a one night stay over. Everything is old but fairly well kept. The better lots are across the highway away from the office. We stayed in a full hookup back in site. We needed our extension cord to reach the electrical box, as all the hookups are at the front of most sites. Pool was warm, clean and well cared for. Private seasonal campgrounds are not for us, but some must like them. - tslarson

Not bad for a quick getaway.....It did appear that many if not most people at the campgrounds were year round residents, some VERY sketchy looking sites. Overall, it suited our needs. - Matt Klein
Oct 2015 - $30.00
We found this place on our GPS and needed a place to stop for one night. The office is an old travel trailer outside, what was, the camp office. We found out that the owners couldn't get permits renewed for some unknown reason so the office and associated amenities was mothballed. It looks like this park was really nice at one time but not now. It is really run down with mostly permanent residents. Our site was right in front with 30 amp and no sewer. It was OK to plug in for the night but not much else. It looks like the 30 amp was protected by fuses, not breakers in the pedestal. We didn't look around much and if this park has restrooms and showers, they were probably disgusting. If you are looking for a safe place to hook for one night and plan to stay in your rig, this would be an OK park, otherwise for the price, there are better places to stay. We were told there was a dump station but we didn't need it. Our site was right in front of the office and the free WiFi was decent with one bar. - sprinter55
Jul 2010 - $32.00
Old, poorly maintained park. Roads are dirt as are the spaces. Many longterm residents and many motorcycles and 4 wheelers. Some grass but thin. Too much bird crap everywhere to enjoy being outside. Peafowl and guineas everywhere and they are really noisy especially when about 10 of them gather under you rig and start their screeching at 6 am. WiFi is non-existent. Manager said it was working in her mother-in-law's house but I stood under the antenna and had zero signal. This was true for the 2 days we were in the park. - PDDeen

The Bathrooms and shower rooms were kept very clean and showers were great...the area to do dishes was a nice addition... the area to park your car in, without being on grass was very small..and gravel pad for trailer uneven. Too bad other campers can be such pigs and leave such a mess..saw where the caretakers had a lot of clean up. - kaths

Shady, nice park, clean facilities, electric only at sites. Potable water and dump station available. - Legends Of America
Jul 2014 - $28.00
We stayed there over the 4th of July and made reservations on the day the system opened in March and got the last site available. Very busy!!!! But a well kept park. There is a large lake with boating, fishing and beach along the many miles of trails. Every working person we ran into was about 16 years old (except for the construction workers)and didn't seem to have any mature adults supervising them. The restrooms were modern but so busy it was nearly impossible to keep them clean. - rhianna

What a beautiful park! There are over 8 miles of paved bike trails and numerous hiking, horse riding and other trails. The people were very friendly. On some weekends they have scheduled family events! I can't say enough positive things about this park. You would have to stay there to truly appreciate this park!! - kristine

Jul 2016 - $26.00
This campground is truly one of the best in the Minneapolis area. The bicycle paths are excellent. There is a lake for swimming and boating and other activities are also available. The campsites are large and week-spaced. Interior roads are a little on the narrow side and may make it difficult to back into your site if your neighbor parks at the edge of the road. There is easy access to shopping, etc., from this location. - Bobbi1948
Sep 2014 - $28.00
We camped here in the middle of the week and it was pretty empty, but we were leaving on Friday and noticed all the 50 amp spots were reserved for the weekend. This is a very pretty campground with lots of spaces. Unfortunately, we were so busy during our stay here that we didn't have time to explore. Our Big rig fit fine in the back in spaces. - Fishen4trout

The KOA here was quite pleasant. Situated in one of the few remaining gaps between the many suburbs that make up the Minneapolis/St. Paul mega-city, it was quiet and restful, except for the occasional nearby train that I've come to take as a normal part of camping. The campground is spacious, with a comfortable mix of sun and shade. The gravel sites were just wide enough and long enough for my truck and trailer. I would definitely return to this campground if I come back to the Minneapolis area. - Jim Fulton
Aug 2017 - $41.00
We came to area to visit grandkids for three weeks. There are very limited options since it is near the twin cities. The park is old with shared water and electric pedestals. Our water and electric were right by the door with sewer on the other side. Sites are decent sized. Roads are gravel. Pool is small and worn. There is a small dog park, a mini putt and a playground. The pros are location, location, location. It's located on a highway although road notice isn't bad. The owners and staff are very nice and helpful and even though it's an old park, it's very clean. Short drive to Minneapolis, St Paul, etc. So while it seems overpriced, it's a nice enough campground. - wendie T

Nice KOA not our normal kind of place but was pleasantly surprised. Very clean and super friendly staff. They have a little dog run that was a nice addition. The hwy was close but the noise really wasn't an issue. - Back to the basics

This is a very peaceful location. The owners are great. We were driving through Minnesota and needed a place for the night. They were very accommodating and the site was great. It is a campground with many retired campers and they really do not have kids at the campground. It was so relaxing and clean that we may make a trip back just to relax sometime. We really appreciated the hospitality - Cudpal

RiversEdge RV Park is a quiet seasonal RV campground in Becker MN. With many large wooded lots located on the Elk River near St. Cloud and the Twin Cites. Me and my family enjoyed the peace and quiet very much. - RiversEdge
