Stay here when we travel to southern Minnesota and have reviewed before. Sites are sand based with gravel cover that drains fast with no ponding. Utilities placed well in sites and have 30/50 amp service, good water, and sewer connect placed in site for easy connection and dump. Laundry and new spacious shower/toilet rooms now open in the new community building. Private lake has walking path all around it with benches for relaxing. Owners/builders live on site and you can buy in if you wish and have concrete pad and casita on your site. We highly recommend. We camped at Crystal Springs RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

As others have said this park is being built one site at a time. Currently there are 48 sites, 2 are pull-through, the rest are all back-in. Our site backed up to the small lake on the property. Husband fished in lake, catch and release, several times and caught several decent sized catfish. Sites are level, gravel with full hookup places where they are easily accessible. We reserved here for one week and stayed 6 weeks. The park is quiet and during the week mostly empty. Most sites are rented seasonally with folks showing up on weekends and going home for the week. We were afraid the I-35 noise would be too loud but our site was toward the back of the campground and once inside our rig we could barely hear the traffic. The owner is on site most of the week and his son in residence on weekends. They are very nice people, working hard to keep the park nice and complete the build on the rec center.

The cons to staying in this park it is not a destination park! There isn't much to do in the park or immediate area. The twin cities are just over an hour north, not a bad drive.

If you plan to go to Minnesota make your reservation early. It appears many Minnesotans rent sites in RV parks for the season so they can use the site on weekends. Because of this sites are difficult to come by and way overpriced. Crystal Springs was an excellent value. We camped at Crystal Springs RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Ellendale is a small town, under 700 people. With that being said there is a nice grocery store, Steve's Smoke House with great meats, small restaurant open for breakfast and lunch, laundry mat and car wash.

What a lovely park! It is as neat, clean, and attractive as anyone could ask for. The pond is clean and large enough to put a small boat on and fish (catch and release.) Sites are perfectly manicured, wide and long, perfectly level, utilities pedestal well located, perfectly groomed grass between large sites. Interior roads and parking pads are gravel. New activity center/bath/shower/laundry house. Everything is spit, spot clean. Seasonal/permanent lots are being sold, and those that are there now are beautifully landscaped and maintained. Well located immediately off I-35 just 15 minutes North of I-90. Quiet, relaxing, well laid out. When we reserved our site one day in advance, we asked for a site near the Wi-Fi. We were assigned a site right next to a repeater, on the lake. Couldn't have been better. Owners on site, but not in office all hours. Very good phone response. We would definitely return. We camped at Crystal Springs RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Nothing much to do in Ellendale, must go into Albert Lea for a Walmart and other retail chains. Good Diesel prices across the freeway from the campground, as well as a great meat market in Ellendale.

This is a small RV Park that is being built one site at a time. There are about 30 sites with full hookups and 50amp service. Sites are gravel with a nice grass area. There are a handful of sites that are cement but these are owned by seasonals with small nice looking sheds on them. They are building a rec center with bathrooms and laundry room, this will probably be open next year. There is a nice pond here with a path cut where you can walk around it. The owners were friendly. Right now you have to be completely self contained. No cable but you can get a number of stations over the air. The biggest negative is that it is very close to I-35 and the road noise was loud. Because of the noise we will not return. We camped at Crystal Springs RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Good park, great owners always working on the park. Park has about 20 sites with full hookups at this point. Concrete sites are owned; the daily, weekly, monthly sites are sand base with good level gravel that drains well. Private lake with catch/release and good walking trail around it. Some road noise but not bad. Finally: you MUST be self-contained as there is NO toilet/showers nor store yet. Owners still waiting for state to OK permits as of 8-26-13. We will come back as it is quiet here. We camped at Crystal Springs RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We liked this park. It's being built with something being added almost daily. It's a 10 year project to sell the sites for those over 55 as a seasonal. There's no amenities as of this date. It's very quiet and well worth a few days stay. The nearest town with anything that's needed is 15 miles to Albert Lea. The owner knows not all sites will sell, so nightly, weekly or monthly will be available. We will stay again. We camped at Crystal Springs RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is currently under construction and is listed as a 55+ RV resort. It is very close to I-35, easy to find, easy on and off etc. Right now they offer nightly rates, but the idea is to sell individual sites and make it a 55+ community. Lots of landscaping has been done at the entrance. A couple of easy pull through sites but the rest are back in. Hook-ups are easy to use. There are shrubs planted between sites which will allow privacy someday. Sites are gravel and level. If you buy a site you can choose how to have it, gravel or cement. There is a small lake, but no swimming beach and it is not large enough for boating. We wanted to check it out, but doubt if we will stop again. We camped at Crystal Springs RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
