Overall Rating:

Our purpose for staying here was to visit family who live less than a couple miles away. If not for that convenience factor, we probably wouldn't have paid this much to stay here. It was OK for our 40 foot motorhome, but it's really a cabin resort with seasonal pull trailers and a couple transient sites. We had a grassy site that was pretty level, after driving down a big dip from the campground road. If you have a boat and want to go fishing, this location is probably great since they have a marina. We didn't go on the lake at all. The couple who own the resort are very friendly and helpful. They are in the process of making improvements since they bought it a couple years ago. But the laundry room we had a front row view of from our campsite was probably on its last legs about 10 years ago - it's leaning different directions, wood rotting, paint peeling. Ditto for the building that said Men and Women - I didn't see another restroom building and I didn't get close enough to that one to see if it's actually functioning. Since it's a lakefront resort and we were there in the summer, there was lots of noise and activities, but they're good about keeping quiet hours so it didn't go on into the night. Our Verizon cell and MiFi worked fine here. Water pressure was OK - we've had a lot better and we've also had worse. We had a picnic table and fire pit. Be sure to provision before you get here - there are no grocery stores, gas stations, or anything around. We camped at Sugar Point Resort in a Motorhome.
