My review is from the perspective of a big rig (45'MH). First the good. Quiet location, not heavily used (on our weekday stay), easily navigable for large rigs, cheap, and contrary to what the campground info says, there are a couple of 50 amp sites. Now the bad. Site are close together, not a lot of gravel for heavy rigs (so if wet, be careful), utilities not conveniently located, not very clean (lots of dog excrement in our site), no dump station, limited shade sites. We camped at Delagoon Park in a Motorhome.

This campground has great potential. Good views of Pebble Lake and lots of wide open spaces. There is a separate area for tents and RVs. All sites can accommodate any size RV. The town of Fergus Falls is about 3 miles away. The main road into the campground and all of the sites are on packed gravel. All sites are back-in. None of the sites are level, some worse then others. The electrical box is shared between two sites. Within each utility box there are one 30-amp and four 20-amp outlets. The water spigots on most sites are located way in the back. You would probably need at least 50 feet of hose to reach the faucet. There are only two vault toilets for the entire campground. These toilets were probably designated for the bike trail head (Central Lakes Bike Trail). Wi-Fi, cable, showers, and a dump station are not available in this campground. Only one interior street light was working. The fee box is located at the entrance to the campground – no camp host on duty. Verizon air card and cell phone worked well here. No reservations so it’s first come – first served. It was very quiet at night. We would definitely come back here if we were in the area. We have a 32 foot rig. We camped at Delagoon Park in a Fifth Wheel.

On Thursday before Labor Day we were looking for somewhere to stay over the long weekend and found this park on RV Park Reviews. We called and were told that the park is first-come, first-served and that it was unlikely to be full on a weekday. We arrived mid-afternoon and picked site 8, probably the best site of the 14 electric sites, with good shade. By Friday evening, the electric sites were all taken. As good luck would have it, the other camper using the shared power pedestal only used a 20 amp connection, so we could use the 30 amp connection. The park is located right on the 55 mile Central Lakes paved rail-trail so that was convenient for us on our bikes. Also, the annual steam threshers' reunion at Rollag was only 50 miles away and is definitely worth a day or more. Electric sites are mostly back in. Although a big rig could fit in here, there may not be room for it plus a towed on the site. We saw a newspaper article indicating that the city will likely improve the park with proper restrooms (instead of pit privies), improved electrical service, and a dump station (none here now). We'd definitely stay here again due to the good bicycling opportunities. We camped at Delagoon Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful city park. Not really "waterfront" sites but we camped up the hill from the lake. Nice view of the lake, only a park road and grass between us and the lake. Nice boat launch available. Very quiet when we were here. Access is past city play fields and bike/hike trail. Lots of nice looking tent sites. Most sites are relatively short. We camped here in a 31-foot RV. Backed up past the gravel pad onto the grass and were able to park truck in line with the rig. Hookups were at the rear of site. Overall a very nice experience. We camped at Delagoon Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

A primitive campground with 22 tent sites and 14 hook-up sites on a 196 acres complex complete with boat launch on Pebble Lake. New playground equipment and a family picnic area. There are no shower or dump facilities on site. 7 day maximum stay, no reservations. There is a public swimming beach across the lake and the campground has a trailhead access to over 100 miles of paved bike trail. We camped at Delagoon Park in a Fifth Wheel.
